Poor - sellers beware!
This is the third time I’ve tried to view a house. First appointment was cancelled by Bettermove an hour before, second time nobody turned up. I had yet another appointment today, even had a reminder text but once again no show. Sellers if you want a better move I strongly recommend a better estate agent!!

House viewing cancelled at short notice with the excuse of “the vendor could no longer make the appointment”… it’s a vacant house with no one living there, so no idea why they lied. Emailed back asking if we could reschedule seeing as they didn’t offer to reschedule themselves and have just been ignored. Will look elsewhere and avoid Bettermove in the future. Very dodgy.

They are nice at the start, and after that they pass you on to others and lie all the time. It is crazy how they get good reviews on here by pushing people to review them soon after their first interactions. There is not a single good review that relates to any interactions with them after the first interaction, i.e. viewing or booking in.
The concept of a guaranteed net sale figure is appealing, and throughout my enquiries the team were professional, patient and happy to answer my questions. My cancellation was also handled promptly and courteously.
However, after carrying out extensive due diligence, I decided not to proceed. Ultimately, I felt Bettermove’s commercial model required too great a leap of faith.
Bettermove’s website refers to an extensive database of investors, cash buyers and pre-approved buyers. While this was an attractive part of the proposition, I couldn’t satisfy myself what practical advantage it offered over a conventional estate agent, or how I would know whether that network had been fully utilised before wider marketing.
Having previously sold property through traditional no sale, no fee estate agents, I also found it much easier to identify my obligations under the agreement than any measurable service commitments on Bettermove’s part. I couldn’t see commitments such as regular progress reports or other service standards that would have given me greater confidence once I had committed to the process.
I’m sure the model will suit some sellers, but it wasn’t the right fit for me.
I was helped with booking my viewing, and they were very kind setting up the visit.

Like many other homeowners, I was promised that my property would be sold within 10–14 days because I was told the company already had buyers lined up. I was offered two options: an instant cash sale at around 20% below market value, or a standard sale where I was assured that finding a buyer would be straightforward and the sale would happen within two weeks.
After my initial discussions with the company, my case was passed to another member of the team. A month later, I had not received a single viewing, despite the assurances I had been given. Following the company's advice, I also removed my property from another estate agent, where I had already received 14 viewings in just one month.
In my experience, the whole process was disappointing. I lost a month of valuable marketing time, and none of the timescales or expectations discussed during the sales process materialised. Based on my experience, I felt the service did not match the representations made to me before I signed up.
I would encourage other homeowners to do their own research, ask detailed questions, and carefully consider their options before using this company.
The better move team obviously go after vulnerable sellers. When they turn up to take photos they take them on an iPhone. Cheap and cheerful. I’ve just seen some of there photos of property and you can see there reflections in most of their pictures.
The reply from better move is fantastic in a way I have photos of the so say professional in a reflection of a shower holding a camera phone.

They have been friendly, helpful, and given me the agreed price with no hidden fees. Very smooth service and I’d highly recommend them to anyone wanting a smooth, stress free sake of their property.

After talks of a quick sale at a decent price I decided to put my flat up for sale with them on a 30 day contract. I then heard absolutely nothing. I followed up with multiple email and phone calls - nothing! when I finally spoke to someone they claimed they had 2 people interested but again after the call ended I didn't hear a thing and luckily my 30 days ended. I have complained but guess what - haven't had a response.
Also be aware that they don't have a pool of investors waiting to take your property, they just put it on rightmove! In our case it was for only 2k less than we had it advertised with a traditional estate agent with no luck previously so oddly enough got no interest!

Called on a Sunday, thinking I wouldn’t get an answer. When the call was answered, a professional, polite lady answered. I enquired about a property, she gave me all the relevant information and got me a viewing on a sunday to my surprise!
She was very helpful.
Very professional individual.
Thankyou Meadow!!
