They're absolutely horrible. I'm incandescent with rage right now after getting off the line with their Philippines-based customer service number. Tried to make a return using their FedEx service. They're claiming the FedEx box was empty when it got there. So awful. I escalated it to the manager, Jen (employee number 079175), and she said her "hands were tied." Everyone there used that same maddening expression. Lots of tied hands. Looks like it's just a full-scale scam that they're pulling on people. Don't ever try to return anything to Bergdorf Goodman by way of FedEx. I will NEVER be shopping at this store again. Common criminals at this point. That's where we're at with things in the US.
The worst customer service ever—…
The worst customer service ever— something you never expected from BG years ago. The right hand does now know what the left hand is doing. Spent hours on the phone speaking to seemingly incompetent represents whose canned speech was “We are not allowed the option to do that.” Ordered an item, paid to have it gift wrapped. It arrived in a squished up plastic bag. Tried to get them to send me a gift box and ribbon. No option to do that. Arranged to return and re-order. Got re-order and it was not gift wrapped or in a box either! Called back. No option to get me gift wrap. Said the store would call me back and that I should keep my line open for 48 hours. A totally frustrating situation. This is likely the last order I place with BG. No wonder they have so many bad reviews.

UPDATED: BG responded to my Better Business Bureau report and initially said they still would not honor the refund b/c the shoes had been worn. After I sent them side by side images of both shoes (size 6 - did not wear and size 6.5 - did wear), it was very obvious I did not wear the size 6 shoes and they DID honor the refund! Happy that in the end they did what was right but they are obviously programmed to not believe the customer and their default is to try and get out of refunding returns. \\ Negative 10 stars -- Bergdorf Goodman is scamming customers. I ordered a pair of Loeffler Randall shoes from BG online. They were too small; I returned and ordered the 6.5 from Loeffler. The only reason I ordered from BG initially was b/c LR didn't have a size 6 at the time. BG returned the 6 back to me, with zero explanation and when I called them, they gave me the same song & dance... warehouse determined they had been worn and there will be no refund. I never wore these shoes outside of being in my home trying to determine if they fit. I even mentioned that I left a review on LR website about how great the shoes were and how I needed to size up from a 6 to 6.5 and BG had zero interest in that proof of needing another size. There is clearly a pattern of scamming customers from this high-end brand and I will be submitting a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
I ordered a pair of Saint Laurent boots…
I ordered a pair of Saint Laurent boots and they were delivered (no signature required or specific time for delivery by FedEx) and later taken from my front door. I contacted Customer Service, provided camera footage and filed a report with law enforcement. The agent I spoke with apologized and filed an incident claim advising a refund would be issued. Also, that I would be contacted by someone as a follow up. No phone call or follow up email from anyone. So, I decided to contact them a few weeks later only to be advised my claim was denied because there was proof that it was delivered by the carrier. The boots were delivered, but were stolen captured on camera. I will NEVER order from them again!
Disgusted - Really a "High-End" Company?
On December 8, 2025, I placed an online order with Bergdorf Goodman for a Jura Z10 Premium Fully Automatic Hot & Cold Brew Coffee Machine, a high-value appliance. At the time of purchase:
1. The product was listed as available for purchase on Bergdorf Goodman’s website;
2.My order was accepted and confirmed;
3.My payment method received an authorization; and
4.I received an order confirmation email, creating a reasonable expectation that the purchase would be honored.
I confirmed the order several times with representatives from Bergdorf Goodman by phone/text messages.
Yesterday - December 16th, Bergdorf Goodman unilaterally canceled the order, providing shifting explanation, specifically that the vendor refused to ship the product.
Despite the order having been confirmed in good faith (and then reconfirmed by phone and text messages), Bergdorf Goodman refused to:
1. place the order on backorder,
2. provide price protection if the item becomes available again, or
3. offer a meaningful accommodation for the cancellation of a confirmed order caused by internal inventory/vendor issues outside the customer’s control.
Bergdorf Goodman has taken the position that because payment is captured at shipment rather than at order placement, it has no obligation to honor the confirmed price or provide price protection, even though the order was accepted and confirmed based on their representations.
I am dismayed that a company known for its high-end reputation would engage in such behavior. Such a company DOES NOT deserve my business and any business. Disgusted.

I ordered an item from Bergdorf Goodman as a gift, and what should have been a simple purchase turned into a two-week ordeal. During that time, the company placed multiple holds on my credit card, tying up funds with absolutely nothing to show for it. There was no shipment, no delivery, and no meaningful communication explaining why this kept happening.
As of today, my order was cancelled again, with no clear reason provided and no attempt at resolution. This item was intended for a birthday gift, which has now been missed entirely due to Bergdorf Goodman’s handling of the order.
For a luxury retailer, this level of service is unacceptable. Repeated authorization holds, cancelled orders without explanation, and zero accountability do not reflect the brand’s reputation or the expectations customers have when shopping at this price point. I would strongly caution others against relying on Bergdorf Goodman for time-sensitive purchases or gifts.
I only gave BG one star because there was no lower option. I chose a high-end Christmas gift from them, was shipped the wrong item and refused a refund until I shipped the incorrect item back to them!
This was the poorest customer service I have ever encountered. I have shopped at stores ranging from Harrods to Dollar Tree! I received the wrong item, was refused an immediate refund and had to return the wrong item myself. The item was a Christmas gift and is no longer in stock. I have now ordered from London (from Tennessee) without any problems. Never shop Bergdorf Goodman. This is the first negative review I have EVER written.

After seeing my review, epi.logic reached out to me and offered to rectify the situation. I assumed they would give me a discount code for a future purchase or something similar. But they did better, much better! They shipped me a complimentary FULL-SIZE Clean Reveal Face Wash with free shipping (a $65 value)! Imagine that. A small, black- and woman-owned company doing what a behemoth like Bergdorf Goodman would not. I have never experienced this level of exceptional customer service before. What a breath of fresh air! epi.logic has a loyal customer as long as it stays in business.
10/7/2025: I recently ordered the epi.logic Clean Reveal face wash and the Coq10 Facial Toning Formula. I received my order yesterday. When I opened the package, the seal was open on the Coq10 Facial Toning Formula box and there was a substantial amount of product missing from the Clean Reveal bottle. When I looked at the stock photos on BG's website and the manufacturer's site, the bottles are full. I compared the bottles and what I received was nowhere near the quantity it was supposed to be.
I reached out to customer service to determine whether they would be willing to remedy my receiving less product than I paid for. I sent them a side-by-side photo with the BG stock photo on the left, and the bottle I received yesterday on the right. This is what they said:
"I am sorry the order did not work out. The return fee is $9.95. Returns typically take 10-14 business days to process. I will be happy to send you the email with instructions on how to print the return label. You will receive the email within 24 hours. Simply affix the label to the outside of the package and return it to FedEx."
This is unacceptable. This was my first purchase from Bergdorf Goodman, and it will be my last.

Found out a lot of info over this ordeal! They have a regular practice of saying that things are worn when there is VERIFIABLE PROOF that they were not! I contacted the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, that then contacted NM. The NM rep could not have been nicer! Hope this helps others! BG online and CapitalOne are TERRIBLE!!! I’m actually being nice by not using stronger words!

Bought a fake Marc-Antoine Barrois Ganymede from Bergdorf Goodman, no help from retailer or brand
In May 2025, I purchased a 100ml bottle of Ganymede by Marc-Antoine Barrois from Bergdorf Goodman’s official online store during a promotional event. I didn’t open the bottle immediately because I already had one in use. Three months later, when I finally did I was stunned to find it may very well be a fake.
I’ve worn Ganymede as my signature scent for over three years. I’ve used at least 10 bottles and know it inside and out. The bottle I received was not authentic and the scent was wrong, the construction was off, and it had no batch number. I provided 12 side-by-side comparison photos against other real bottles I currently own.
Bergdorf Goodman, one of only two official U.S. retailers for this brand, ignored both of my emails and refused to help when I called, citing it was past their 30 day return policy. No acknowledgment of the fact that they may have sold a counterfeit product.
So I reached out to Marc-Antoine Barrois customer service. I clearly stated I wasn’t asking for a refund or a replacement, but instead I wanted them to be aware that one of their supposed trusted retailers may have let a fake into circulation. I asked for the issue to be escalated or at least acknowledged by someone who could investigate.
Instead, I received a dismissive reply saying they “cannot confirm authenticity” of the product and that they “don’t want to give people ideas for counterfeiting.”
I felt insulted. And yet, in the same message, they claimed that if I bought from an authorized retailer, then it must be real.
That contradiction alone is shocking. If you can't or won’t verify whether your own product is real, how can you claim that everything sold through your authorized partners is legitimate?
As an admirer of Quentin Bisch's work this entire experience has been deeply disappointing. I never expected that buying a fragrance from Bergdorf Goodman, a retailer on the level of Harrods, could result in receiving a fake with zero accountability from anyone involved.

What a pathetic excuse for a company and customer service. I sent my return back on 7/21 and today is September 1 and there are still crickets regarding the status of my return. Getting through customer service is also a chore as one representative had chickens and screaming kids in the background and him taking 15 minutes to type in an order number and just hanging up without saying a word. After reaching third representative 20 minutes after that, she took my entire life history to verify my account to tell me that my items still have not arrived at the warehouse due to barcode being “hard to read”- I wish I was kidding. Now I understand why they filed for chapter 11. Needless to say I won’t be shopping there again

As I read reviews, I realize I have been another victim of fraud.
I also returned a bathing suite which I tried on once, put right back in the box in absolutely perfect condition. It showed up in a box back at my house weeks later with no explanation and had marks on it that I did not cause. I called and spoke to to 2 supervisors who told me there were deodorant stains on the suit. I DON'T WEAR DEODORANT. I asked them if they had read reviews on Trustpilot and let them know many customers have had this same experience. That if they truly cared about their customers as they say, they would read reviews and look into this problem. All I got was "They won't accept a rejected item". Who is "They"? I asked. "Returned Goods" I was told. I'd like to speak to "Them". I was told there is no phone number... Basically, we are all getting robbed by Bergdorf Goodman and I hope people stop shopping there. I will never order from them again. They are committing fraud. Will be following up to hold them accountable for committing fraud and stealing from so many people. It's shameful and unjust.

If I could give no stars I would. I went into the store on a whim and made a purchase in the cosmetics department. I had asked to have the order shipped to my home in Florida which the sales staff said would be no problem. I am still waiting two weeks later. I called multiple times and was told that someone would get back to me. They had no problem charging my credit card!!! Where is the Bergdorf that I knew and loved????

Terrible customer service! They’ve charged for a return on my PayPal account without my consent! Terrible! Terrible! I never ever more will but from them and don’t recommend it to anyone!

If I could give them no stars, I would. I returned a Chloe bag because Bergdorf sent me the wrong bag. The package left my hands, was scanned at the FedEx facility and never made it back to them. I have gone rounds and rounds with both FedEx and Bergdorf and they’re both pointing the finger at each other. In the meantime, I’m still on the hook for the $900 bag that they refuse to refund me for. From the looks of these reviews, I’m not the only one. Shameful for a high end store…..

I printed out a return label and mailed the item back several weeks ago. Yesterday , I received a package with an empty box from NMG group, which is part of Bergdorf’s, with no explanation. They did not provide a refund and the sandals were definitely in the box when it was shipped.
