The worst customer service experience in a long time
Ben works with GSMWEB as a business partner. I cancelled a contract within the statutory days with GSMWEB, the same day I contacted Ben to cancel the sim cart (which was included in the contract), Ben's customer service told me that it was GSMWEB who had to cancel the contract (I could not).
I sent all the evidence of the contract cancellation (including confirmation that the contract had been closed) to Ben. Not satisfied, Ben told me that I had to contact GSMWEB again because it was not enough for them to close the contract. The point is that my contract is closed, my responsibilities as a buyer are fulfilled, if you have problems with your business partner you have to solve them yourself and not ask the customer to do it for you. I am very disappointed with the lack of responsibility of your customer service and I am a customer of another sim card, but I don't think I will review the other contract I have with Ben.

The worst customer service
The worst customer service. I have been trying to cancel my subscription for months since I moved overseas in December, and was consistently ignored. After multiple requests over a number of months, they finally cancelled my account, but ignored my request for a refund for the payment I made despite not having used the service. Now they continue to come after me for additional payments for a service which I had not been using and had been trying to cancel. The lack of communication is horrible, and I will not be bullied into paying for a ‘service’ I did not use and had been trying to cancel for months.

Worse than worse
I really hated this provider so much. I used them for quite some time when I moved to the Netherlands but I found their platform super difficult to understand and eventually I switched. However having my number ported was the biggest headache because I was a day late. Their customer service contact times are so unbelievably long and their message responses are so sparsed apart. Then these customer service agents are never fully explaining the situation, and so now I am still paying for my subscription without even using their product because they did not clarify something during the number porting (which I gave up on because of the headache they caused me). Find any other provider please and don't waste your time with this one. Horrible service that stole my money.

They really scam you once you are in a foreign country. As soon as you put your internet on, without warning the billing begins. Before you know it, you owe them 200 dollars for 20mb. While at their own website you can buy 20gb for that money. Biggest scammers I have ever seen.

STAY AWAY AT ALL COST
Terrible service and provider. I have been customer for years. Decided to go for a 2 year contract in 2021. Shortly after closing the deal, they raised the price. So I am paying more than expected stating they have the right to do so.
Today I see they have an offer for new customers so I went to check in their app if I'm eligible. I fell 3 cents short because their policy states that I'm allowed to modify my subscription only if the cost exceeds my current sub. I asked customer service if we could arrange something and suggested I pay what I'm paying now but get the offer. In the end the customer service basically said we can't do much so you'll just have to continue pay more but without the offer. To make it clear I'm currently paying 3 cents more than the offer but get less.
So new customers get VIP treatment but existing customers get thrash treatment. And they're allowed to raise the price however they like and you're allowed only if yours exceeds your current sub with no flexibility whatsoever.
This last one was the last straw for me. After the contract ends in a few months, I'm switching to another provider.
There are other providers that offer much better deal than ben.nl.

worst provider experience i've had so far
bought the SIM card few weeks back.
issue 1: got delivered at the door, asked the delivery guy to wait a second so i can get my passport to verify, 15 seconds later i come back and he left
issue 2: the i got my sim card 2 days later but it couldnt be activated. no one could help me and it took 12 days until they came up with a 'solution' to send me a new sim card.
issue 3: sim card is right now not working again since 5 days, no one knows what the issue is. i called customer service after being 25 minutes in the waiting line and they tell me to go to a shop here in amsterdam to get is resolved fast. i go to the shop and the shop owner says "Ben? Sim card? we dont do those things, this is wrong info"
issue 4: calling customer service again the next day and a woman says to wait so she can check with her colleagues how to solve the issue. waiting 18 minutes in the line until they hang up on me.

Two days blackout thanks to Ben contract-transfer service
The transfer of my contract via Ben was a bad experience. The original contract was concluded on 31. Dec.during the day time and the service from Ben started on 2nd January during the afternoon hours. Two days without any service or internet during Old to New Year celebration, no messages- no calls- no internet, absolute blackout.

I have been Ben customer for over 10 years. Recently I decided to change from sim only to phone abonament and I wanted to stick with Ben. I ordered the phone but I couldn't receive it because it turned out that my passport was expired in the system (I couldn't update it and even though I showed old and new document, the courier didn't give me a phone, which turned out afterwards to be against the rules). I called the customer service: the lady there tried to update my document and cancel the order (so I could make a new one). She had troubles and forwarded me to another person who immediately said she have made a mistake which will cost even more time. This person tried to fixed it and I waited couple of days before calling again to check if it worked. I talked to two people: the first one said that the ordered was still not canceled and I couldn't make a new one. They forwarded me to the next person who gave me an email address to send a scan of a document (apparently the only right way to update it, which previous people didn't know) and advised to wait again for the cancelation to go through. During next weeks via e-mail I was talking to a person who assured me that the passport is updated (according to my scan), but when I checked on the website it was not there. I called again and I was told that there is still my old passport number in the system, moreover the data package with a phone I was trying to order for weeks is no longer available. The person was still not sure whether they can update my passport. Turns out that simple action of updating the document number was beyond capacity of multiple people from customer service of Ben. Their overal lack of competence costed me weeks of waiting and hours in calling time. At the end I gave up trying to extend my contract with them and I changed the provider. I am extremely disappointed.

Treated like a human being.. At Vodafone
After years of being a customer of Ben Nederland, I was surprised one day when my call to my 88 year old mom in America was suddenly cut off, literally mid-sentence. I then received a DM saying I needed to pay 75 euros via Ideal to restore my service. This made me feel like I'd done something wrong, or not paid my bill. Two months later the calls to America showed up, but not the 75 euros I'd already paid. Ben, your customer service is appalling, and your billing department is patently incompetent. Me? For 5 euros more per month I have unlimited everything from Vodafone.... And most importantly, I was treated like a human being! Ben.... You're a bust!
