Sometimes when I am alone
Sometimes when I am alone, I lay in the garden, cover myself in soil, and pretend to be a carrot while reading reviews by Lorraine Walker.
A little known fact about the name Lorraine, is that it originates in France, from "Le Rain" which loosely translated back to English means wet drip.
In 1997 the artist Billie Myers wrote a song about Lorraine Walker titled "kiss le rain" which featured on her debut and got to number 4 in the UK charts, this followed on from a previous song written about her by the proclaimers in 1988 " I would walker 500 miles" which sadly only reached number 11 despite having global success.
Whilst it was a lesser known hit, Greendays 1994 hit FOD summarises Lorraines impact on the world perfectly, the song which stands for F*** off and die is narrated by the singer Billy Joel who had been stuck on a train journey with Le Rain for 14 hours whilst all she did was moan about her boring pointless existence, in an interview in 1994 when Billy was asked about the meaning of the chorus, Billy Joel replied I simply wanted her to F O D.
You're just a f**
I can't explain it 'cause I think you suck
I'm taking pride
In telling you to f*** off and die
