I had a issue with one of my rental properties and it was not sustainable to continue so I handed back to the bank. I spoke to Bell& Co and they agreed to take on my case. Luke was extremely helpful in liaising with the bank to get a great outcome for me. Would highly recommend them.

From the very beginning, Micaela Cruz reassured me that my difficulties with HMRC and multiple debt issues were all manageable and solutions could be found, I was in despair at the situation I found myself in (real despair).

I seldom write reviews, but I felt the service and help I got from Bell and Company was outstanding. My wife and I had difficulties with a major banking institution and could not find a way of getting a release. We were ‘hamstrung’ in that we couldn’t service the debt or negotiate a way to restructure it. It was a constant worry and financial burden for over 15 years. We had medical worries and children at college and full time education. When we got in contact with Bell and company they helped us, reassured us and found us a way out. Luke Logan handled our case and could not have been better. He understood all the different aspects of our problem. He was empathetic and kind. He showed a keen grasp of our issues and problems immediately. A solution was reached and we were extremely happy with the terms. I cannot praise this company and Luke high enough.

I found myself in a very difficult financial situation compounded by serious health issues. Having closed my company due to serious ill health I found out some months later that I owed a six figure DLA. I don’t mind admitting going into a panic over the email and telephone call from company insolvency Practioners. I did a bit of research and reached out to Bell and Co. and from my first phone call to my last, a huge weight was lifted from my shoulders and I no longer didn’t felt alone in facing this extremely stressful situation. I would particularly like to thank Michael and Rory for standing side by side with and finding a fabulous resolution. When Rory told me what he had negotiated I was overcome with relief and joy at what had looked like a dire financial situation prior . Rory and the team negotiated a 93% reduction in DLA and for the first time I can say I was delighted to pay a professional fee. Bell and Co more than deserved their fee. Having worked with Bell & Co in 2022, where they assisted me with several shortfalls on mortgages that came out of the credit crunch in 2010, I had to reconnect with them this year after one final property had been sold and the mortgage company were asking for the £100k shortfall payment!!
I had five accounts with this mortgage company and upon clearing four of them two years ago, the mortgage company agreed that the fifth and final property would fall under this one payment and no further payments would be required!
Having got this in writing and then receiving the demand for the shortfall for this fifth property, I spoke to Peter and Micaela at Bell & Co and after a bit of back and forth they managed to have the final property shortfall written off (as this had already been agreed previously) and the mortgage company then realised that I was due a rebate, of which I should receive in the New Year!!
All round a great result, which means I can draw a line under everything that happened 15 years ago and this was made so much easier with the support, professionalism and perseverance of the staff at Bell & Co!!
If you are having problems with debt and creditors then I would not hesitate to recommend these guys as they are good at what they do and in my case achieved a great result!!!!!

I'm writing this because I want to help others to have the confidence to go out and get help. Obviously when you contact companies like this you are nervous and not in a great place. I certainly was. It was a huge step for my wife and I to trust these guys with our financial position. But we did and paid a significant amount of money to get them started on our case. Scary! I used Bell & Company to help me with a large overdrawn directors loan account after going through a company insolvency. They were very understanding to my situation, it was an extremely worrying and stressful time for me being contacted directly from the insolvency practitioners solicitor and being concerned about losing my house. Rory was assigned to my case and was straight onto it, he explained everything clearly and told me what information to gather and send to him. Being such a large sum I was surprised at how quickly Rory negotiated an agreement, from a figure that the insolvency company had of 250K to the settlement figure of 35k and with a payment plan, I cannot thank Rory and his team at Bell & Company enough for the excellent service and great result, I can't actually put into words how good it feels to have this all behind me and to be able to move on with my life. I first contacted Bell & Co in Jan 2022 when my mortgage became no longer manageable and the property was no longer worth what I paid originally.

The team talked me through all my options and helped advise on the best course of action - in this case voluntary surrender. My case worker Luke, walked me through the process step by step, keeping me updated throughout. He managed all the paperwork and discussions with the mortgage provider meaning I no longer had to have difficult conservations with the lender, who kept trying to find new ways to keep me paying the mortgage I couldn’t afford.
Once the house was handed back and eventually sold, Luke then took on the task of negotiating the settlement fee on over £130,000 of debt. This was an extremely scary number for me and if I had had to tackle myself would have ended up more in debt and with very low mental health. But Luke and his team leader Sam rose to the challenge fantastically! Worked on my case for nearly two years, worked around me taking 9months maternity leave to ensure I was not pestered from the debt collection agency and then to reassess my situation when I returned to work.

The team worked tirelessly to get to a settlement figure so I could walk away from what was a horrendous situation I had been living in for years. They always worked within my budget and ensure any minor changes to settlement figures were within my limits to pay. Sam secured a settlement of around 25% of the original debt, and now I am able to start again.

I was in a situation that many people may have encountered - housing market crash, COVID, with a house I could no longer afford to pay for and honestly felt like I had no hope of getting out of it. But Bell & Co listened with compassion, and fought to get the best deal for me so I can move on with my life. They removed all the stress and anxiety of trying to manage this myself. I approached Bell & Company in early 2022 with a personal guarantee that had resulted in a charge on my house. This left very little leeway for negotiation.

In Autumn 2022 Bell & Company finally managed to settle with the bank for £10k plus fees on a charge of over £50k.

However the story didn’t end there. Big bank admin meant that it took another 12 months to amend the Land Registry. Even though their obligation towards me had ended, Bell & Company through Luke continued to chase the bank repeatedly until the matter was completely settled.
