I have been trying to returns items that don't fit. Shoes with a brand that I always wear a size 10 are too small....I got a QR code to return in store but I am in California and have asked over and over again to be able to return back to online. No responses. I had to dispute it on my credit car
Never received an order over a month later.
Ordered something on November 28th, 2025 to give as a Christmas gift. I messaged December 15th, but got no reply. It is now January 5, 2026 and only today did they get back to me and refund me. What a joke, would never order from this place again.
Dreadful Customer Service
I wish I didn’t have to leave a one star review at all because I’m incredibly disappointed with this store.
I placed two orders going to two separate locations. The first order only shipped one of three items, the second order wasn’t delivered at all, I only just received notification that it was returned to sender, too late to send Christmas gifts to my family.
I encourage everyone to reconsider using this store for online purchases.

I watched him with customers in front of me as he was very patient, pleasant, and professional…especially with a long line and the holidays. Worst customer service I’ve had in my 44 years of living. I have been trying to get my refund for a month. I’ve called customer service atleast 8 times within a month and gotten nowhere. They just act like they can’t see the notes the last agent i talked with and send me through the same steps from day 1. It’s been very frustrating. The item I want have sold out now. Plus I missed all the Black Friday deal. I am very disappointed in belk. I know my money doesn’t matter them but I work hard for mine . I am scared to shop with belk now knowing it can take a months to get a refund back. I’m lost for words. Hope my issue gets solved soon because it’s been a nightmare
Worst Online Shopping Experience with Belk
I wouldn’t have given even a 1-star rating if there were any other option. The customer service experience at Belk has been absolutely pathetic. I have been a loyal Belk member for over 10 years, and the decline in service quality is very evident.
I recently ordered several fragrance sets and chose Belk over Macy’s, which turned out to be a big mistake. After waiting more than a week, one of my online orders was canceled without any reasonable resolution. I then spent over an hour dealing with customer service, only to receive repeated apologies with no actual solution.
On top of that, my other order has still not been delivered and is currently missing, with no clear update or accountability from Belk. Despite this ongoing issue, customer service has been completely unhelpful.
I simply requested that the same discount coupon be honored so I could place an alternative order, but that was flatly denied. This level of disregard for a long-time customer’s time, money, and loyalty is extremely frustrating and unacceptable.

If I could go less on star reviews I would! Horrible experience. Stay away from getting a credit card. The automated machine will tell you to pay amount and it's not the right amount leaving you a balance. Then it hits your credit like you are late.

Sales clerk with nasty attitude after returning an item, she rung it up wrong did no what she was doing. I told her I was going to another sales clerk, she slung the items on the counter and was still talking trash to me after I spoke up about her incompetence. She just showed her butt and there were other customers behind me and coming to counter. I have been shopping a Belk longer then she have been working there.
Way overpriced!
I went to Belk to check out air fryers. They had the PowerXL on sale for 149.00. I did a quick search on my phone and found it offered at JC Penney for 89.00. Checked and found out Belk does NOT offer price match! That told me everything I need to know about this store. If one item is blatantly overpriced (when on sale) then you can better believe you are getting shafted on most of the other items they have to offer.

I ordered a very expensive item online which was listed on sale. I never received the sale price and immediately contacted the online Belk customer service people by phone. They were not helpful and I have NOT heard back after about 3 weeks. I wrote 2 more online customer complaints up and provided pictures of actual price versus sales price. I finally went to actual store on Sunday and store manager and cashier were incredibly helpful and rectified the problem for me. I may never shop online again after this!

Belk charged me $10 for a return. Had I known this was the case I would have never purchased from them.
They do not reply to emails, and the return process is frustrating at best. I am now sitting here 5 days without my refund.

When I tried to return them 10/27, I was told that I would only been given 70% of what I paid!!! No where says anything about returns after 30 days will be discounted!! The dresses had all the tags on still and I had the receipts!! I would have had to return them before I had even given them to her🤬

The sales person ( Kansas ) was excellent. She worked with me to find just item I was looking for. Even though Belks did not carry my item. Kansas did not just direct me and walk away. She stayed and tried to find my item. Kansas is a very valued employee to have. Great personality easy to engage with. Thank you for have such a great employee to deal with the public.
No refund if they don’t send your merchandise
Sent me an empty box from belk returns instead of my $121 order. Customer service is terrible. Nothing works to get refunded for a box I did not receive. Emails,phone calls to customer service,claims process and none of it works. At this point I think I’m just out $121 for things they did not send.

Received a dirty stained shirt!
I ordered two tuxedo jackets for my husband. I returned one, three weeks later they have not refunded my money. I opened the shirt box and it is dirty on the cuffs and has a big yellow stain on the front. Belk said it is too late and they won’t exchange it. I have washed it twice and it won’t come out. The wedding is in one week out of town. I will have to try to find another shirt . I won’t ever shop at Belk again. I guess they would rather loose future business than do the right thing and replace the shirt. Terrible customer service. I would give them a 0 if I could.

They waded a dupioni silk dress up in a ball and shipped it in a plastic bag in a wad so when I received it it was ruined - it was for a wedding a $200 dress full price they refused to make it right and then tried to say I could not be refunded tax ilir shipping when they destroyed the item with how they packaged it so badly … the store did not have any in my size in stock so exchange was impossible. The store and customer service were horrible.
