Drove over 100 miles together with my partner for the Tiesto concert, got there way before 7pm, queued in the rain for over an hour to be told by the security staff that they are limiting the access and that they can't let us in anymore. Absolutely disgrace of venue, very rude staff, extremely disappointed with this joke of concert venue. No refunds also, they just take your money then they just ignore you! Avoid at any cost!

Definitely the worse experience ever.

We had never been to any concerts by The Bay Series before so we were unsure what to expect.
Firstly New Order was cancelled due to bad weather, which I could understand as I know that the location is rather remote due to having previously been to the location.
Our second concert was Tiesto. Decided to read reviews before attending. I am very glad I did. We almost didn't go but we really wanted to see Tiesto.
The weather was awful. We arrived after 5pm so there would be plenty of time.
The queue wasn't too bad but there were a lot of people already drunk.
Queue for the bar was okay but I was shocked that glass bottles of wine and beer were being sold.
Atmosphere seemed okay to start with but grew worse as time went on.
Surrounded by extremely drunk people, pushing and shoving and their behaviour was so awful.
Queue for the toilets was dreadful, people queuing in different directions with a lot of pushing and getting out of the toilet was worse. The were not enough toilets for the amount of people attending.
We were then next to people taking drugs and one woman was smoking a joint!
Security were more interested on people arriving and leaving than making sure people were safe, the police again were outside the venue!
Tiesto was amazing but my husband and I would never go to another event by The Bay Series.
Worse venue we have ever been to, didn't feel safe the entire time as there were too many drunk people almost fighting, pushing and shoving their way through the crowd. We left before the end because we didn't want to be stuck coming out. I was afraid of being crushed.
I really hope that future concerts will be run by a different company who care about the people, health and safety.
It was awful and as much as we enjoyed Tiesto, I wish we had stayed home.
Definitely the worst concert I have ever been to. Very glad we didn't buy VIP tickets because they were stuck a long way from the stage! After reading about the area it promised the VIP'S and the whole experience, I would have asked for a refund.
Thank you Bay Series for a nightmare experience and one I will never forget.

Never again

Wouldn’t recommend going here for a gig , no screens so you can see anything . The toilet facilities were horrific I have never seen queues like it , over an hour long. Also making you go in at 7 for a headline start of 9 so sat in the cold for 2 hours doing nothing , scared to drink because of the toilet situation .

Avoid at all costs!

Avoid at all costs.

Decided to have food in the Bay before going to see Tiesto. On arrival at the gate at 7:15pm we were told that we couldn't enter.

The Ticketmaster App stated doors open at 2pm, and nothing about last entry at 7pm. There was nothing about this in the adverts either, apart from come early to enjoy the food, or some late attendees may be turned away (which I assumed would be post 10pm or troublemakers).

Ticketmastar came back with a no to a refund very quickly, they basically said read the small print (which wasn't available in their app) and come earlier next time. I assume it was speedy due to it being a cut and paste response as 100's fell foul to this.

On reading reviews here and elsewhere, it looks like missing it was a saving grace due to the violence, queues etc. Shocking, I'm never using TicketMaster again and won't be going to BaySeries events either.

Unsafe and mis-sold

Anyone who purchased 'VIP' tickets for the McFly gig were completely mis-sold.

The whole venue was shambolic, unsafe, over crowded and I and many others feel that we have been completely 'ripped off' for getting nowhere near what was advertised for our 'VIP' experience. Below are some issues I would like to highlight....

•There was no clear signage upon arrival to the venue to show where the separate queue was for 'VIP'.

•There was no front of stage viewing area as promised.

•There was no food in the so called 'VIP area'.

•There was no drinks promotions for VIP ticket holders.

•There was no undercover seated area for VIP ticket holders. (I'm sorry but calling a couple of picnic benches VIP is laughable).

•Why was there such a ridiculous gap between the stage and the crowd?

•No screens and the sides of the stage were so dark, when artists came to the ends you couldn't see them.

•Only good thing we're the toilets!!

I feel like I have been ripped off for an experience that I was promised and never received. I think some form of apology or compensation is needed. And reading other reviews it only got worse as the weekend went on.
The bands and music were fab and they put on a great show despite a shocking venue setup. Absolute joke and I wish I had never bought the VIP tickets.

Shambles

VIP completely mis-sold. No separate entry, no under cover seating area, 8 female toilets, some of which were blocked and out of use by the end of the night, not to mention filthy. Have to walk right through the main arena to access VIP. Absurd. The queues to go in were ridiculous, and coming out was a bottle neck and poorly lit. Completely unsafe. How someone hasn't died I don't know. I tripped and fell on an uneven surface (not drunk) and it was a miracle I wasn't trampled over. Didn't see any first aid. Scooter wasn't the best organisation last year, hence we went for VIP this year for Tiesto, but it was even worse. Serious questions need to be asked if this event organiser. Accident waiting to happen, and also queries for Trading Standards around false advertising. Will never go to an event here again.

Tiesto Cardiff Bay

Most unprofessional event I've ever been too. The queue to get in was insane. There's not one area where you can get shelter from the elements. The toilet situation was insane, men could manage but women were screwed, queues 20 deep for the portaloos. Overcrowded and disappointing.

Overcrowded to the point of being…

Overcrowded to the point of being dangerous.

Not enough security dealing with antisocial behaviour.

There was too far a distance from the crowd to the stage.

No seating.

Not enough toilets. It took nearly an hour to queue for one.

When trying to exit the crowd were into forced into a narrow point and people started to push. Luckily no one fell over otherwise there would have been a panic and thinks could have taken a serious turn.

Poorly organized

Poorly organized, nowhere near enough toilets, only one bar and the walk out of the place is a disaster waiting to happen. I was literally looking for some where I could get me and my wife to safety if a crush happens. So dangerous. Tiesto was incredible the sound system is excellent and the light show was amazing. Shame it was spoilt by the negatives.

The 1 hour toilet series

The 1 hour toilet series

They overfilled the venue for Beckyhill by a good 3000 people. They had about 20 toilets and for an event running from lunch time until 10 o clock. This logically wasn’t enough. Most people were struggling not to soil themselves and the recommendation by security who were man handling desperate girls who had been waiting to p*ss for hours was actually “just p*ss yourself” security were horrendous.

The venue was full of glass wine bottles but at the doors they were confiscating all manner of random objects which would clearly do no harm like expensive perfume. The venue was full of vodka bottles all over the floor so they were clearly lax at times during the day.

5 pound for a jumbo sausage. And Becky hill had the balls to talk to people about “economic hardship” near the start of her set. She also mentioned the ridiculous huge gap in between her and the stage. I was. Near the front and didn’t even see her face. Her comment was “is this how you do things in Cardiff?”

While she was singing “surround you with love” I was watching a bunch of drunk girls punching each other in the head and no security in sight. There was so many people crushed in they couldn’t get near to break things up in time.

Not only was it gross. Embarrassing and shameful the way it was organised it was just pure dangerous.

They also had put huge plastic mats on the floor (where there was a random hilly area right next to the entrance to the arena) which were curling up and people were constantly tripping up on them.

Security had a horrible attitude treating people like animals.

Becky hill might have been alright.

The venue was a complete 💩 show and should never be allowed to host
Something like this again.

As always. Greed prevails. Gross. 🤮

Absolutely shocking venue and would…

Absolutely shocking venue and would never go back. Went to see Becky Hill and have never felt more unsafe in a venue as i did in this one. Queued for over an hour to get in and then another 3/4 of an hour for the toilet. I was handed one sheet of toilet paper by an attendant. Couldnt get to the bar as it was impossible to get through the crowd. When we did attempt to get to the pizza place we witnessed 3 fights and almost got trampled. There was people having panic attacks as the security were doing nothing to help. They were just rude to everyone. The floor was uneven and made worse by random rubber mats everywhere which were a major trip hazard.
The walk out of the venue was dark and barely any security in sight until you got to the part that was lit nearer the bay.
Becky hill was amazing but even she commented on how far away the crowd was, dont think she would go back there either.
Avoid at all costs !!!!

AVOID EVEN IF TICKETS ARE FREE!

I would not go to a concert organised by these cowboys even if tickets were free. Such a shambles! I’ve been one of the lucky ones and got a full refund but I pity anyone who has paid for a gig of theirs and had to find out the hard way how bad they really are. Just search their Facebook and the replies to posts are full of people’s negative experiences. Utter shambles.

This is the biggest rip off ever !

This is the biggest rip off ever !!
We paid for VIP tickets that were advertised to have covered seating area , front view stage access and food van in area - we didn’t get any of this !!
We couldn’t see the stage , no screens so could have been there watching anyone 🤷‍♀️ The music was too quiet so it didn’t feel like a concert at all and the atmosphere was awful. I wasn’t impressed with Becky Hills performance as couldn’t see her and didn’t feel part of the concert- the vibe def wasn’t there .
The venue is very open and windy so make sure you take plenty of layers as the merch shop had run out of hoody’s and only selling t shirts at £30 each.
This was the most unsafe event I’ve ever been to - the walk out of there at the end of the night is so dangerous - everyone just pushing and shuffling along in the dark on uneven ground. If any incident occurred it could have been fatal - I will never attend this venue again. I feel totally ripped off having bought tickets that didn’t give us what we paid for. This is all about making money and def not about the experience.
I would appreciate a reply from The Bay Series and I think a partial refund ( the difference between vip and standard ticket prices) would be adequate form of compensation as you didn’t provide us with the experience we paid for
Do not book any event with this company

I feel lucky that my Thursday night gig for New Order was cancelled at short notice. We were lucky and got our money for the gig refunded. Too late to cancel hotel and paid for travel there and back. Sound like we were the lucky ones and didn’t have to put up with the fiasco of the other nights.

AVOID THIS VENUE! UNSAFE AND DANGEROUS

How have the organisers got and retained a licence for these events, the worst gig I have ever been to! The location is very isolated, over an hour queuing to get in, nowhere near enough staff scanning tickets and bag searching. One positive was seeing sniffer dogs in use. Toilets were disgraceful, nowhere near enough with a queue for over an hour, people queue jumping and pushing in, security not doing anything so people's tempers were very fraught, a ridiculous gap between crowd and stage no doubt saving on security costs. Even Becky Hill commented on it The event was overcrowded I'd say well over it's legal capacity, had nowhere near enough security and had the feeling it was minutes away from kicking off all night. Gettibg people in a venue 7hrs before is a recipe for disaster when all they do is drink! Witnessed people walking round with glass bottles and slabs of beer 🤷‍♀️ Its sad that i saw younger audience members leaving as they couldnt see or didnt feel safe! I Felt on edge all night and getting out was just as bad uneven matting on floor, very dark and no security to be seen. It's literally waiting for something major to happen as breaches so many health and safety rules, hopefully the council other authorities will do something before its too.late. Never again!!! Awful venue with no regard for people's well being just the ££££££

AVOID!

I won’t be going to today!
Over crowded, huge queues for the toilets, only 4 food vans, one bar, no seating or grass, no screens, no entertainment other than a DJ playing tracks miles away because the stage was sectioned off so you couldn’t get close to the stage.. basically a big dirty concrete car park on the edge of a windy industrial estate, a long walk from any pickup location, totally disorganised, fighting, drunk people being carried out because they get you in at 2pm & there’s nothing to do. Absolute nightmare!! AVOID!!

The worst venue iv ever attended !

Possibly the worst, most unorganised show of an evening iv had in a very long time , any one reading this review , really reconsider going to this venue , definitely not a place to take children , it’s seriously dangerous it’s that bad ! , if the show was in my home town and was free , I still wouldn’t of gone if I knew it would of been this bad , Becky hill spent most of her act trying to get the crowd to sing as she clearly had voice issues , people left halfway through her act , the queue to get in was probably about 15 people wide bottlenecking to the security gates ,the queues for the toilets was a joke , women fighting in the crowds , uneven rubber floors on the ground , which people kept tripping over , and security staff looked well under staffed as it was so overcrowded like sardines , The Bay Series , you need to have a proper word with yourselves , people pay a lot and travel far for a good show, you could end up getting someone badly hurt or even killed , you should be ashamed of yourself ! Avoid avoid !
