Bausch + Lomb I-Connect contact lenses

I am expressing my serious concern regarding the declining quality of the Bausch + Lomb I-Connect contact lenses I have been purchasing through Lenskart.

I have been a frequent user of these lenses for over three years. However, I have noticed that the quality has degraded significantly over time. Specifically, the lenses are frequently tearing or cutting at the edges after only ten days of use.

While I understand that this is a budget-friendly option, the quality of a product that interacts with such a precious organ as the eye should never be compromised. It feels as though the quality is being sacrificed, which is unacceptable given the health risks involved.

I hope you will take this feedback seriously and look into the manufacturing or quality control standards of the lenses currently being sold. I look forward to hearing how you intend to address these quality issues.

Impossible to put in

Contact lenses so bad, I had to come here to complain. Sitting here with my eyes streaming from them. Impossible to put in. Fuming. They're called Bausch & Lomb but this is for sure not a German company or German quality. Lifelong contact lense wearer and these are the worst I have ever tried by far.

Cheapest company around

Hey folks lets talk about what a cheap and rotten company these people are. Spent almost $500 in contacts (1 year supply). $60 rebate. I get my rebate card only to have $55 on it. I email them and they have the nerve to tell me as of 1-1-26 they charge $5 for physical cards. I put in for the rebate early December 2025.
They wont give me the 5 dollars back that they basically stole from me. Next time do NOT buy Bausch and Lomb Contacts. If the company will offer this level of customer service imagine what they would do if there was a actual problem with their product.

I have worn contact lenses for 40 years…

I have worn contact lenses for 40 years including Bauch & Lomb. Decided to try them after wearing Acuvue for 7 years. They are absolutely the worst lenses for putting in, folding up on year and wandering off into the corner of my eye. Will be going back to Acuvue asap

Switched to cruelty-free lenses

A couple of years ago, I started switching to all cruelty-free products, but since I have an astigmatism in my right eye, it seemed I was stuck with Bausch & Lomb. The only cruelty-free contact lens company is Daysoft, and they don't make contacts for astigmatism.

But then it occurred to me - what if I just got a regular contact lens for my right eye? What effect would that have? As it turns out, none. There's no noticeable difference in my vision or in the comfort.

Plus, with my B & L, I wore the same contacts for a month, taking them out and cleaning them every night. No more! Now I just throw my contacts away at night and pop in a new pair the next morning. It's much easier, I don't need to buy cases and solution anymore (plus carry them when I travel), and I've got to believe it's healthier for my eyes.

The contacts are super-affordable, really well packaged, and all-around awesome.

Bausch & Lomb needs to get with the program regarding eliminating ALL animal testing.

CLOSE DOWN!

As everyone else has said “hence 1.6 on a trusted review site” They have terrible customer service considering they sell such expensive contact lenses. They should be CLOSED DOWN.

The rebate is a scam

While I think they make great contacts, I have a problem with the rebate. Last year they kept giving me different reasons for not giving me the rebate until I gave up. This year their first claim is the picture I submitted is blurry, but everything is clear as day if I zoom in. The entire rebate program feels like a scam and I will switch brands next year.

LUMIFY eye drops

I use LUMIFY eye drops every day. I ordered some fro Amazon before I left on a work trip to Australia. (I live in Los Angeles) I took the bottle out of the box to save space and put the bottle in my wash bag. When I opened the bottle a week or so later in Australia, the bottle was completely empty. Baush and Lomb customer service won't replace it as I don't have the serial number. I bought a competitors product in Australia which is half the price and available in the USA. I works just as well!

LotImax Eye Ointment Packaging is TERRIBLE

My wife was prescribed Lotemax Eye Ointment and the small tube was very expensive. The "tamper resistant" cap is impossible to remove without damaging the fragile aluminum foil tube. Now we don't have this important medication for a holiday weekend and have to return to the pharmacy to see if they can. help open the tube or provide a less defective packaging.

I ordered some replacement gas…

I ordered some replacement gas permeable contact lenses through my Opticians’s on 1st September 2023 as I had lost them and have yet to receive these even though it is 6 weeks ago and was told that I would get these within 3-4 weeks.
My opticians have emailed them numerous times but have had no reply as to what is happening! I wish I could contact them but they will only deal with the opticians !
Very very poor service !

Rewetting Drops and drops of blood

Rewetting Drops. After opening the box, there was no leaflet explaining how to use them and what to look out for like any other medicine. I then cut my hand using a knife to open the safety wrapping and then I noticed writing in the inside of the box!

When I broke the box apart, there was the ‘safety leaflet’ printed inside the box itself. So far, so bad.

And then the killer blow. The text was so small that I can’t read it, even with a pair of reading glasses! You couldn’t make it up!

After a very recent retina detachment and having now to wear a hard contact lens at 68-years-old; this is beyond belief in this new century of invention of ours. Shame on you B&L. Think about your users and not your profit margins!

Bad experience

Bad experience with Italian customer care. I phoned to find out if the B&L Pure Vision lenses were really usable for 30 days and 29 nights, as the data sheet on their retailer's website says. And the Italian employee, with a very confident accent, as if talking to his sister, replied that it is not true, that it is not possible to wear lenses continuously for 30 days, that I had not read well, and even when I linked to him the reference site where the data sheet was, replied that it was a Chinese site (absolutely not true! It is a German site where I have been buying contact lenses for over 10 years!) and kept telling me in a confidential tone that I was off road. I insisted on telling him that I had the technical data sheet of the lenses in front and that I was reading their cotninuative durability in the eye for a month, at the end after having insisted a lot on a technical opinion of one of their experts, and not of his personal opinion, he asked his superior who said: "but this customer is crazy, you can't wear lenses for a month in a row! Eventually a technical officer intervenes in their personal chat and says" The customer IS RIGHT! The Pure Vision lenses made in IdroGel are built for a continuous prolonged use, being able to even sleep, without ever taking them off for 30 days. "At the end, the assistant only tells me:" you were right you can always wear them, BUT ACCORDING TO MY OPINION IT WOULD BE BETTER NOT TO DO IT. "But who asked for his personal opinion ?! Then he puts down the call, as if he had spoken to a family member, without even apologizing for the fact that he was not prepared and competent in the matter.
Furthermore, he does not do the interests of the company where he works, because they create a new contact lens technology and he discredits it! But who chooses the people to put on the B&L customer service number ?! Bad service! Not professional.

My Biotrue ONEday contacts were…

My Biotrue ONEday contacts were practically a scam. I bought a year's worth of contacts, but many of them ship disfigured, upside down, or with a tinted liquid. The contacts themselves become nearly worthless if you need to take them out for a moment - they aren't even strong enough to survive the day. The Biotrue contacts end up extremely dry after a day's use. This issue hasn't occurred for any other contacts I've used.

Tl;dr: this company sells cheap contacts that don't work well for anything. Two stars because they work for seeing, at least for half of the day after you take a shower.

Poor social conscience for such a large…

Poor social conscience for such a large company. They recalled their eye contact lens solution - cleaning and soaking through Boots. I got my refund but not for my hard contact lenses (2 pairs) which I threw away thinking they got scratched although they were rarely used. Despite being able to wear gas permeable lenses comfortably for decades, I thought I grew an allergy to them as well why I threw expensive lenses away as my eyes smarted terribly when I tried to wear them. I only discovered that the problem were the Bausch & Lomb contact lens solution, conditioning and cleaning. I considered myself fortunate that I stopped wearing the lenses immediately as it could have turned out badly. Their recall was for products over a 6 months period. But they refused to refund me for a pair of gas permeable lenses and I certainly cannot afford to buy a pair now having switched to glasses.
Its no skin off their back and its a small gesture considering that I have used their products for 5 decades. An example of an inconscionable company.
