Barax claims there is mechanical damage to avoid warranty
Very suspicious service. I bought an ASUS mainboard and warranty replaced it when it wouldn't boot.
The new mainboard would boot, but the second memory channel wasn't working. I kept using it for a while, while I was debugging whether it was a memory issue and narrowed it down to a mainboard issue.
When I wanted to send it back to warranty replace it again, they first didn't want to pay for the shipping (which they are required to) until I pressed them.
Then, when they received it, they sent me pictures of 3 bent CPU socket pins, which I am certain were not bent when I had it. After all, I had used the board the entire time, and there is no way it would have worked with the damaged socket. I have also always been extremely careful and even put the socket cover back in when I shipped it back. When I asked them whether they saw the socket cover when they opened it, they didn't answer. They just want €100 to repair the damage or otherwise they'll send it back to me.
According to other review sites, I'm also not the first one who had this exact experience..
