The best no nonsense credit card I know
I expect people use Bank Norwegian due to their great fee structure, so I wont drag on other than saying that its among the clearest in the industry, no bait, no fuss. The only "fee" I can imagine is incurring interest instantly on withdrawals and transfers. Anyone who knows how a credit card company makes money can understand why this is a thing, as there is no cut to be made here, only cost incurred.
My criticism would be low initial limit, that said, I can understand why its done, reading reviews about people who use their credit for gambling, crypto, shady stuff is exactly what I as a user don't want to indirectly pay for either.
After a year of diligent usage, my limit got upped automatically so I can't complain.
Yes, payments to the card do take 12-72 hrs usually, but that is a non-issue to the intended user of a credit card, being creditworthy and financially literate of course.
Their App has worked fine, their 2FA works, expenses work, Support works.
With all the recent upheaval of personal credit, mostly for the bad, this probably the best option for people who want a GREAT, RELIABLE credit card that STAYS that way.
Everything was good 😊
Easy to apply and systems is next level…
Easy to apply and systems is next level in two minutes i Got the surprise 🥰
I would like to rate lower
I would like to rate lower, which unfortunately is not possible.
I cannot believe what just happened to me with this Norwegian Bank.
I used the credit card option a few month ago and I paid everything time correctly back on time.
Just now I got a message on my phone, if I would not answer some questions on there website within the next 4 hours / midnight , I could not use their services anymore. WHAT ????
I called the only available phone number online and she harshly rude told me to call to some one else the next Monday …what ???.... WTF
I will ensure that I cut all ties with this Norwegian Bank system. It’s unbelievable!!!!
I have never done anything wrong!
I always paid on time back
And therefore I do not accept such disgraceful behaviour against me.
Do me one favour in your company! Sort this as it’s completely unacceptable what just happened to me today.
Fact is , I have nothing done wrong and of course I’m not any kind of criminal.
I would wish we can solve this clearly.
Thank you
Hilla
Promised security is a lie - fraudsters are supported rather than customers
All the security promises are a lie. After a merchant was hacked and the target bank was secretly changed, I immediately blocked the card, wrote to support and requested a complaint.
This was rejected on the grounds that the transaction had been confirmed - several thousand euros were lost.
The reason that the transaction was confirmed simply makes no sense. This is always the case when you make a transaction using a credit card. This means that the VISA chargeback procedure can never be used.
The merchant does not have to send anything, the money is never safe via Bank Norwegian.
Avoid at all costs!
Most likely discriminating people
Most likely discriminating people. Got rejected twice despite stable job with high income. They do t provide reason for rejection and the only thing that can make sense is where you come from is not suitable to them
Worst service ever
I am on vacation and bank Norwegian just declined their service and locked my card due to “conspicuous activities” which was paying at a store and trying getting money at the atm.
The only option from Bank Norwegian is to order a new card but I’m on vacation. That makes no sense. After all, the conspicuous activities were triggered by myself. Maybe some more communication would have helped instead of just locking my card irreversibly.
I don’t need a credit card which is not reliable in need.
Good if you want cashback!
Using Bank Norwegian Visa Credit Card in Denmark for half a decade now. They reduced the cashback programme from 1% to 0.5% which was a bit of a bummer, but all-in-all still nice to get money back on everything you buy.
Good app as well, only downside is still the manual payment work every month of settling the monthly bill.
One can also add Cashback med Visa on top to get even more back as a consumer in certain stores.
Impossible to close an account
I'm writing this review from Spain. They have an spanish web domain and their web is fully in spanish, so they give the impression of being like any other branch of a foreigner bank operating in Spain, like ING or N26.
Opening an account with them is easy, but closing it is impossible (you have to request cancellation by email, and they don't respond).
The IBAN is Norwegian, but they do not say that information in the savings account information section of their website.
The interests are good, currently 3.7% per year. However, the interest payment is annual. They don't say that on the savings account information page either.
The operation of the account is null. It is strictly a savings account, with no other features. You cannot have a card, you cannot direct debit payments, and you cannot make transfers from it to other people.
The product is simply a savings account to which you can move money to and from your account in another bank, with a foreign IBAN (which requires extra paperwork with the Treasury) and with payment of interest at the end of the year. All of these nuisances, which were not clearly detailed on their web, do not compensate the extra gains from the interest rates. So, I withdrew all the money from the account before it generated any interests and tried to close it.
But they don't make it easy to close an account. In fact, to this day it's still open.
So far good
So far good. I used the card in many different palace, online and also other countries, in Euro and other currencies, till now everything went smoothly.
Basically loan sharks
Do. Not. Do. It.
These guys are as close to loan sharks as they come.
I set up a credit card with them to get flight points.
I paid automatically every month via my bank. Only to find out that Bank Norwegian - by default - sets your payments to the lowest amount possible (3.5% of your outstanding, which means they can charge 19% interest).
Lousy Service
Lousy Service, no timely response and no support for customers
Not a fan of your new baggage scam
Bad experience. Be careful
Bad experience with this bank. Transfers from other banks might take weeks (or get lost). I transfered money from other account one week ago, and they claim that they did not receive it.
I'm worried they lost my money and dissapointed with the bad service, taking long to reply emails and not offering solutions.
Complicate
I tried to order a credit card, the system to make all was a little complicate, I lose really time, and when I did, they didn't accept my order because....
Never more I will try with them...
