SLOW ASL!! got given it on DSA, only have an ipad. trying to use it for my uni work and it is so slow and laggy and buggy and stresses me the hell out. can someone explain why it even exists?

I advise every students or anyone to use it

I love how easy it is to use. Also, that there are different ways to view the information, create tasks to complete and attach relevant documents. It us all in one place but not overwhelming as 8t is in layers. It has really helped me to break tasks down in to workable chunks so I have not become overwhelmed putting together some large and detailed projects and documents.

The export feature from mind map to PPT didn't work. Also the export from mind map to word transferred the document as picture not as text.
I need the text in the PPT and the word document to work on it in a presentation style.
So what to do?

I paid twice for iMindMap between 2010 and 2020. Each time, I purchased a full license, assuming I was investing in a professional tool I could rely on long term.

Recently, I bought a new laptop and tried to reinstall and activate my license — only to discover that iMindMap had effectively reached end-of-life and could no longer be properly activated. As a software developer myself, I find this highly questionable. It would not have been technically difficult to implement a simple workaround or adjustment to allow legitimate license holders to continue using the product. Instead, paying customers were simply cut off.

The only apparent solution now is to move to Ayoa and start paying a monthly subscription. The problem with that is obvious: once you commit to an annual plan, you’re locked into ongoing payments just to retain access. That fundamentally changes what I originally paid for. No thank you. You’ve lost my trust.

Under UK consumer protection law, one could reasonably argue that selling a perpetual license that later becomes unusable without providing a viable remedy may be grounds for action — potentially even through the Small Claims Court. I don’t have the time or energy to pursue that route.

Very disappointing experience overall.

On the positive side, their email support was friendly and they offered me a free three-year license. However, that still effectively locks you into their platform long term.

We’ve found this to be a great revision tool. It’s easy and enjoyable to use - you can quickly build up a mind map, and the AI helps you easily link pictures to aid your memory. Great tool for any secondary school student, particularly dyslexic learners. Great in the workplace too. Would highly recommend.

Amazing AYOA tools!

I have migrated from iMindMap to AYOA and it is simply amazing, and I am still exploring with watering mouth!

I purchased 2 years subscription without hesitation. I can't even describe how I am excited about Ayoa.

It is probably due to my personality that many mind maps and to do list haven't worked for me.

I am "out of sight, out of mind person". Thanks to Ayoa, I can visualise all I need and as I need. It literally changed my workflow .

Now I can work more focused without forgetting little ideas. Those I used to note on paper, whatsapp, email etc. Then lost it and never came back to it. Now I can note it into Ayoa and have it all organised in one place. I just love this product.

I haven't been so excited for ages. This excitements also grows while working on my personal projects using Ayoa. P.S.: no, I didn't get paid for this review :-)

Having moved from iMindMap over to Ayoa I am impressed how the software has evolved.
The inclusion of A.I makes this an even more impressive tool.

A breath of fresh air for task and project management. Many times I'm asked to provide details on tasks and also diagrams or documents. Ayoa allowed me to start a project from a mind-map and roll that into tasks, and documents, etc. The canvas view for tasks is a game changer! So much easier to work with and visualize! Very well put together and easy to use overall.

What a great bit of kit! I really enjoyed learning about this through Davey, who was super helpful and informative. I love all the features and I think it will be so useful for keeping my brain uncluttered and my thoughts organised.

I have just had a 1 hour complimentary training session with Lisa which was excellent and gave me an opportunity to explore areas of the Ayoa app which I didn't fully understand. In addition there were a few tech queries which she quickly followed up with their tech support team and a few recommendations I made which I am confident will be followed.

I was familiar with Ayoa, having used the free version for mindmapping and having watched various videos. I now have the full version and think the ease of switching from mindmap view to whiteboard or task management view is a great feature. The product is intuitive and works well with the personal, work or academic. University students will find it very useful to plan their essays, break them down into manageable chunks and then build it up with the Document view. It is easy to add images and attachments, so everything is under one roof, so to speak.
The 1:1 training I received from Lisa Gault was excellent and she very expertly identified areas to improve my understanding and use of the product, explaining really clearly how to use and when to use the many excellent features in the other areas: whiteboard, task management and planner. 
I absolutely love it and now I have the full features, I have already incorporated it into my personal and work life planning.

I didn’t like this at all. I’ve used iMind Maps in the past and also when Ayoa came out. It was much better when it was just mind mapping and task management, but now it’s too bloated. I didn’t like the fact that I had to pay for a months subscription to find out after one day that it wasn’t for me. They should offer a free trial like most companies do.

Nice tool, I use it for developing ideas. There is much more in it than I currently use and know, so happy to explore more features over time. One remark: German language would be nice!

I looked at more than 10 different mind mapping apps and chose Ayoa because it offered features I wanted and did not see in the others; specifically links to other objects and links to other mind maps. Like most software it takes a bit to learn, but I think "conversion rate" (people that try Ayoa and then subscribe) would increase greatly, if only there was a template that was a mind map on how to use the software. This would greatly decrease the time to learn and increase the value more quickly. Flipping back and forth from a map to help articles or videos is not efficient when the entire idea of a mind map is keeping focus.

I have tested a lot of mind map tools. So far I like this one. Especially the control you get in presentation mode. Here are 2 suggestions to take it to the next level.
1. Allow users to choose between 3-4 preset zoom levels for each slide. Currently, you have a default ultra closeup that focuses on the current node selected. For a mind map, it helps if people can see a bit of context, not an ultra zoom that eliminates all the other nodes. Having preset zoom levels that a creator can quickly set will allow us to use ultra zoom where needed and less zoom where needed very quickly.

2. Introduce presentation mode for all the other things like flowcharts and the rest

A great tool to organise plan and be creative. So many features and easy to use. Mindmaps, white boards and task to do planner that keeps you in order.

I use Ayoa every day. It is the best tool for sorting out my thinking, gaining clarity about my subject and keeping me on track and motivated. In my coaching practice it is invaluable to keep both myself and my coachee connected to the key goals and allows us to immediately jump back into the conversation after a break between sessions.
