I’ve been with AXA for many years, and overall I’ve been very happy with their service. However, I do have one concern. I believe loyal, long-term customers should be treated much better. Instead of i... See more

My call was for a windscreen replacement, I was put through to Autoglass, a three week wait time, very unaccomodating with timings, and not willing to change appointments even though they had been told the car needed to be driven at 4pm the appointmentthey gave was 2 45 to 5.45.
I went to a different company that fitted a new screen within 24 hrs, great service that I would happilyuse again and it was £100 cgeaper in total than Autoglass for tge same specification screen.
To be told by Axa it was not an authorised company even though it was a national company and I can only claim back £100 of the £546 I paid.
I was also told Axa deal with 3 glass companies but was only made aware of one, the online system gives no option but Autoglass so how the other two are accessed I have no idea, Autoglass are far from a great company with my many experiences with them.
I then I was told my policy would now be amended because of the £100 claim to reflect this.
Poor show Axa, you dropped the ball on this one.
Could do a lot better.

Everything went smoothly online. But as I have only just signed up only time will tell. So far so good the price was good and my partner has used AXA for years with no hassles.

In a previous telephone call, I asked about the procedure when purchasing a new car and selling the existing BMW, I was told this was very simple and AXA would provide insurance for both cars for 1 month.
I agreed a sale of my existing BMW, then I found a replacement Mercedes which I inspected and purchased, went online to transfer the insurance to the new Mercedes because it needed to be insured. I then was asked to apply for temporary cover for my existing BMW, however, that cover was not available.
I then telephoned AXA, first, I was told that the insurance on my existing BMW would continue until midnight that day and, therefore, I was able to drive it to the buyer about 75 miles away.
The AXA agent then asked me to hold, whilst she consulted her manager, following which I was told that the insurance of my existing BMW had now ended and I would have to find temporary insurance from a third party.
The seller of the new Mercedes had been willing to drive the Mercedes, to accompany me whilst I drove my existing BMW to the buyer of the BMW, then I could have handed the BMW to my buyer and driven home in the Mercedes.
Unsurprisingly, the seller of the Mercedes was unable to wait all day for the insurance to be resolved. I then had to drive 75 miles to the buyer of the existing BMW to give him the keys, this was on the evening of the England -v- Mexico match and, therefore, he was unable to collect the BMW that evening.
The next day, I had to collect the buyer of the BMW and drive 75 miles to the car park in which I had left the BMW and also pay for him to arrange temporary cover for that day.
Overall, I drove 150 odd unnecessary miles, I wasted several hours of my time, all because AXA was unable to provide temporary cover on the existing BMW for a couple of hours after purchasing the new Mercedes.
I shall not be renewing my AXA car policy and/or my AXA home policy when they are due for renewal.

Disappointing experience. The agent didn't seem to understand I was an existing customer trying to add a second vehicle. I'm still having problems getting the policy finalised - I've contacted the 'help' desk via my account but not had a reply. They want proof of my NCD from my previous insurer before adding the second policy ....AXA IS my previous insurer !!!! Right hand doesn't seem to know what the left hand's doing !!

Contacted AXA today regarding car insurance renewal as I needed to update some information. Unfortunately earlier this year I had a minor accident, yes my fault. This accident was nothing to do with this policy and has no effect on my no claims bonus, yet they wanted to charge me an extra £272 on top of the £89 they already put up this years premium. The policy I have for the vehicle I had the accident in went up by less than £100> how can this be justified. went elsewhere to a well known company £257 cheaper. As a past loyal customer,I have other policies with AXA.
