It was okay when i used it but when i thought i had cancelled it and then saw the money go out my bank and requested a refund ive been waiting 1 month already for a refund to no response except customer support is busy so make sure you cancel cause when requesting a refund you will definitely not see that money coming back ever again

I love that Avira is free and is not one of those anti-viruses that is secretly a free trial but only reveals that it is a free trial MUCH later. Less popups would be nice though.

avira blocks free version updates
avira installs secret files on your computer to ensure once avira free stops working, you are stuck with it and no amount of uninstalling and reinstalling will unblock definition viruses.
Response to Avira's response: I want Avira to update, not to just uninstall. And that is no longer happening. You do not offer help - nor should you - for the free version, but you should also not block the updates after two years of the use of the free version. That's just cheap. Or utter incompetence by your coders, if that is not by design. Which, when I look at your code, to me looks like part of your design, not an error. And I know how to fix that.

I’ve used Avira mainly as a daily, background antivirus, not as a full security suite. In that role, it does its job well: it runs quietly most of the time, catches common threats, and doesn’t noticeably slow the system. Installation is straightforward, updates are automatic, and basic protection works without constant user involvement.
