Purchased off website with no problem email order confirmation received - waited a week and still no delivery so emailed them. I was told that the item was out of stock and there would be a 6/8 week wait. Lesson to be learnt - don't list items in stock as people believe you have it. Don't wait until your customer checks where their item is to tell them that there is a problem. Poor service.

Having just had a problem with a wheel coming off a boat trailer I had just bought I had no idea who to turn to having discovered the the Axle was too short for the trailer and the 'problem' had been fixed by somebody with the aid of 6 washers behind each wheel stud!!!! An accident waiting to happen, and it happened to me.

Joanna & David could not have been more helpful or given any more advice or assistance. The new 'correct' Axle had to be specially made, estimated time 2-3 weeks but due to urgency took less than one week. They even arranged for shipment to France!!

An A1 company, I will certainly use them again and recommend them.

Ordered December 1. Email from AutoW on December 8 that my order had shipped. They have not replied to any of 5 emails asking for a tracking number and shipper. Now, more than 2 weeks later, I have no goods and only a credit card charge....and their site only indicates my credit card was charged.

Terrible customer service

I brought a Thule cycle-carrier and some assessories for 4 bicycles to accompany us on our summer vacation due to a very competitive price compared to domestic Thule resale prices.

Unfortunately Autow had a back order on the cycle-carrier which delayed the order for a couple or weeks. When getting in contact with Joanna at Autow to explain the dilemma of delaying the order past the vacation would make the cycle carrier valueless. The appeared to be understood and we received the carrier in due time for the vacation - however now missing one of the assessories having got in back order while waiting for the carrier.

Under normal conditions I would have let this influence the overall rating, but I must say that being taken care of by Autow's customer service and their genuine wish to solve the order best possible have put me into the positive attitude issuing a 4 star rate - fully deserved.

So if you want to make a good deal at a company apparantly not so big that customers are only annoying elements then you have to look into Autow as they have some fantastic prices... from a continental perspective even taking the strengthed £££ into consideration.
