Extremely Disappointing Experience
Extremely Disappointing Experience
I initially signed up for AutoPod just to test the service, and I canceled immediately afterward. I never used it again, never requested a renewal, and never agreed to any ongoing subscription.
Months later, without any warning, AutoPod attempted multiple times to charge my card, and when one transaction finally went through, they immediately responded by saying “No refunds are available.”
Here are the facts shown in their own billing timeline:
They attempted to charge me several times unsuccessfully
I did not reinstall, reuse, or resubscribe
The successful payment happened long after I canceled
The cancellation was acknowledged, yet the billing continued
From a customer perspective, this raises serious concerns:
❌ Predatory Billing Behavior
Instead of a normal subscription process, they appear to keep attempting transactions silently, waiting for one to go through.
This is especially concerning considering the subscription was canceled at the beginning.
❌ Lack of Customer Care
When I reached out, their response was short and dismissive:
“No refunds are available.”
No effort to check customer history properly, no verification, no goodwill approach — nothing.
❌ Questionable Transparency
If a canceled subscription continues to be charged months later, customers should ask:
How is my payment information being stored?
Why is billing processed after cancellation?
Why are charge attempts made multiple times?
No clear explanation was provided.
❌ $30 Lost — But Also Trust
What is most disappointing is not the amount charged, but the attitude behind handling the issue.
For a company claiming to serve creators, trust and ethics should matter.
Instead, I was told that despite cancellation, no refund would be provided — simply because they managed to push one payment through.
🧪 Conclusion
I signed up to try a subscription, canceled immediately, and months later I was billed without authorization.
Then refused a refund.
This kind of customer experience creates doubt about the long-term reliability of the service.
If you are considering subscribing, I strongly recommend:
✔ Double-checking cancellation
✔ Removing card details immediately
✔ Monitoring your statements carefully
Because once they're able to bill you, refunding seems extremely unlikely.
A company is measured not when everything works, but when there is a problem.
Here, the problem was handled in the least reassuring way possible.
