The WORST rental experience I’ve ever had. Atemporal has been absolutely disgusting in the way they’ve handled our deposit. Currently it is 2 months after we have moved out and Atemporal want to keep over €1,300 of our €2,300 deposit for alleged “damages” that we have absolutely no connection to. The apartment we lived in was damp, moldy, there was black stains and cigarette smell in every room, yellow stains on the mattress, broken blinds and most importantly the insulation was in a deteriorating condition, but despite this they want to blame US for all the problems. We strongly dispute, but communication with them is non-existent, they take weeks to reply, forget about a reply on email, only on WhatsApp with super informal unprofessional responses. There have been 3 staff changed while we were tennants so we had to explain our problems 3 different times. That tells you a lot about them if people are constantly leaving. You pay such a high fee and then this is the service you receive. What makes this even more infuriating is how casually they expect you to accept losing a huge amount of money, while providing nothing that properly proves we are responsible for these costs. We are broke students, not an ATM for landlords and agencies to use whenever they feel like charging for repairs to maintain their apartments. The whole situation has been incredibly frustrating, unfair and infuriating.
If you are thinking about renting through Atemporal, seriously reconsider - and if you do, pray your apartment was in better condition than ours, document absolutely everything, because getting your own deposit back can become an full-time job when you leave.
I know they will defend themselves by saying we reported the issues too late but WE WERE STILL LIVING in the apartment when we bombarded then with evidence about the terrible state of the apartment. Oh also it took them 10 months to fix a blind that had fallen apart. 10 months and 3 visits from a technician who even after the last time did not fix anything.
