Firstly, the guys were great - really careful with our belongings and took care with the move. Credit where credit is due - no other mover has take such care before with both our property, and their contents.

Issues transpired later after our belongings were in storage for some months whilst we finalised the purchase of our property. When making the final arrangements out of storage, we felt like we had no choice when given additional costs - as we didn’t really have any choice. We ended up paying more for involving a 3rd party removal company, and paying an additional 30% of the original price, without fully understanding the reasoning behind them - and it felt like our hand was forced.

Storage costs terms were cited for a higher than expected total - when questioned, a minimum payment period was mentioned, no such term appeared on any documentation - only a minimum initial term. Despite pushback, we had to agree.

Following us advising that our final destination had changed, by approximately an hour or 50 miles from the original location, this was met with further price increases that I couldn’t quite see were justified. We were give reasons of driving time directives as justification for the large change, but on researching this I came across nothing of note that could have explained this. Also, whilst additional days were cited as the reason behind price increases, to comply with said directive, these didn’t transpire as being used - when discussing plans with them on the day, the same original timelines were being followed with no extra day.

Lastly, following final delivery, an item was offloaded broken - this was told to us very matter of fact and no further guidance given on how to go about recovering the cost. It was just handed to us as matter of fact. We were aware that we hadn’t purchased extended insurance, but as their own terms and conditions stipulated basic cover for items damaged in transit we reached out for a solution. We tried contacted them but had no response back and felt ignored - we were no longer customers so felt we didn’t matter.

All this left a somewhat bitter taste of the experience, which if based on actual removal only, would have been very positive.

To reiterate, the teams on our job on the day each time were fantastic, extremely hardworking, polite folks. We just felt the transparency lacking around pricing and customer aftercare lacking overall, resulting in a very tainted experience

A year on from our removal and still finding damage caused by Ark. Just got round to sorting the fish tank that was in with our house contents move and it has a chip out and leaks. I know it is a year since we used Ark but this just reconfirms what I said before about checking everything if you get this company to move you. For info the tank has been stored in the spare bedroom since we moved, and had stayed wrapped in blankets so I am 100% certain damage was caused by the move.

The team from Ark was friendly, professional, hard working, punctual, and helpful, answering all questions. Everything was wrapped and moved carefully. They calmed down a stressful event and made it straight forward, and were worth every penny. I would use them again and would recommend them. Thank you all.

Ark were strongly recommended to me and their service exceeded my expectations. The office staff were brilliant and coped admirably with my having to move the date several times. The guys doing the actual move were first class - professional and friendly.

Moving home is a tough thing and very stressful. But fortunately, we found Arc relocation. They are an absolutely fabulous team. I have used their fully pack and unpack service. Right from the start, they were accommodating as my moving date kept shifting but they were patient and understanding. On the big day, their team of four were at my place and packed all the things with care. They delivered and unpacked everything with diligence and care etc at the destination making our move stress free. All I can say is - “a big Thank you“ to the team. I would highly recommend them.
