I contracted a one-time travel insurance with ANWB. During my trip, I was unlucky to have missed connection flights due to delays, on two occasions. When I returned, a) I could not file a normal damage claim via the website because once your insurance is over, you no longer have access. So I had to do it via email. b) The person forgot to forward my email to the correct department, so it took even longer. c) Getting replies from someone took weeks in between each reply of mine. d) All of this bothersome operation (providing all details, explanations, invoices, receipts, proofs of delays), to be told they did not cover ANYTHING. Extra costs incurred by the missed connections flights: not covered. Lost reservations due to the same issue: not covered.
I wonder why I spent 70 euros on a "travel insurance" for a 3-week trip, to be told nothing was covered. It seems regular clients having year-long polices are treated better in there, since my partner (who has such a police) was reimbursed immediately, no questions asked, when the conditions on our police read the same.
It's absolutely disgusting. Scammers, that's all you are.

People, don't fall for it. You are billed based on average rates, not the actual hourly rates. No matter how hard you try to use energy during cheap times, it is not visible on the final bill. The app suggests big savings, but everything has disappeared from the final statement. I am still in the process of filing an objection but haven't received a single response yet, just a debt collection notice. That one was quick, though.

Very bad experience. I first called them around 8:00 in the morning on A50, first it took several minutes to connect. Once got connected a car came and took me to nearby safe place. But then i had to wait for more than 90 minutes to wait for road assistance. Whenever i call them they will be there in 5 minutes, in 10 minutes but the help never reached. Still waiting for them.

Amazing service, the guys arrived to the location within 10 minutes and they were very friendly and started the check immediately, they found where the problem was and managed to fix it on the spot, I was able to drive the car with no issues.

I bought what I understood to be a single-trip travel insurance policy through ANWB's subsidiary Unigarant in 2024. Two years later I discovered it had been silently renewing annually, with €50+ debited from my account each year. Renewal notices were going to an address I no longer lived at.
Nothing in the purchase flow indicated that I was signing up to an ongoing commitment rather than a one-off purchase. ANWB is using trust in its brand to scam people via Unigarant.

Costumer service does not help clients.
On 11 January I cancelled my montly subscription. It says we can cancelled online at any moment of the month. I receive the statment of cancellation. Still I am receiving invoices and alerts that the bill will increase if I do not comply with the montly payments. I wrote already 3 times, the answer is that those emails are ¨no-reply¨ emails, although not announced as such. The phone number does not work, the chat online says this is beyond their capacities to solve it and the whatsapp line also does not answer me.
