I wasn't a complete beginner and picked it up quickly so my experience may differ from first-timers. I opted for private lessons. Don't expect a tight schedule, the wind and weather play a big role too. We had to break off a lesson because of a thunderstorm but you can just resume when the weather clears (they also offer to refund the remaining time if you dont have the opportunity to resume training).
The instructors are very relaxed and enthousiastic about the sport. I could hear them cheering me on when i was doing well. They even provided me with some video's afterwards. It was not a particularly structured lesson but more 'guided practice' with helpful pointers, which fitted my level. We did not use a headset, that would've been a nice addition: its hard to hear over the wind&distance.

He is calm and knows where to set in in order to help his students.

Will definitely go back there again to get a profound kiter.

Koen and his Team are great instructors. Really nice guys with a lot of experience and a talent for teaching. We had a lot of fun, won't be the last time with a Kite.

I had a perfect kitesurf-week in Workum last week.
Started with the trainer kite for few minutes which absolutely helps to get the feel for the kite before going for the real thing. Perfect balance of the group, kite-equipment was nice. (At least I found the f-one bandit to be easy to handle ;) ) In my lessons Klaas and Lianne did the trainer job - Which was excellent.
Bodydrag and first boardstarts in the morning, first short rides in the afternoon. Next day i already could borrow my own stuff for the day and practice a bit. Super flexible training (exactly what I needed and wanted) and while I was "on my own" the hints and tips that Klaas, Koen or Lianne dropped while kiting by helped a lot. (Also seeing how you kite helps actually :) )
The whole atmosphere was very relaxed and I was really happy with my choice for the Antix school!
Well - in the end I could go upwind easily, did my two first transition "jumps" and a few mini basic jumps. Stoked... for now im hooked ;-)
Big up for Koen, Klaas and Lianne!! Thanks guys and keep up the good work!
