Just purchased my house and I am incredibly busy. Would have gone to get a custom frame made, but I figured it would just be easier to order it.
Spent $300 on two moderately smallframes and now it arrives, and I have to put both of them together??
Could have spent the same price and just had it done for me. Doesn’t really help me at all.

I was stunned at the poor customer service I received from this establishment. I ordered 2 mats online for $90 for a project I was so very excited about, but the mats were unusable as the window opening could have only displayed a postage stamp. I misunderstood their description of the "outer perimeter" of the mats (thinking that this was the window display opening), as it was my first time ordering mats online rather than in person. The individual I spoke with was both snooty and kurt on the phone, and refused to refund the unusable mats, or even to meet me half way to offer a partial refund for the money I lost. Instead, she informed me that she added the correct sized mats to my cart in my account, and that I was welcome to pay--again--to purchase my second set. Real audacity, and very surprising. I said, no thank you, I certainly will not be purchasing a second set from you, I'll buy them somewhere else. Apparently repeat business is not a real priority to American Frame.

The frames arrived quickly and neatly packaged. Every detail is in place, the glass is intact, the corners of the frames are well adjusted. This is important to me because frames often come with distortions or scratches when ordering online. Everything is perfect here. The materials are of high quality: the baguette looks durable, the color is even, the surface is smooth. I ordered frames for paintings and photographs, it fits perfectly, the insert holds the picture tightly, nothing slips. The installation is simple, everything is thought out, there are latches, holders and corners for hanging.

Ordered custom cut acrylic, and it arrived perfectly-sized and without any scratches. It was packaged securely and with great care.

I ordered Black Nielsen 11 frames. The result is a high quality frame, made to tight tolerances, with gallery standard protection, that fits my pictures precisely.

Some good advice was offered before I ordered to make sure that my new frames matched existing ones. The result is almost indistinguishable from the originals.

All in all I am happy with the result and happy to offer my recommendation.

The pictures are beautiful and they arrived very quickly. The only minor thing is that since the prints are rolled up for shipping, the curved paper makes it a challenge to mount them. Sitting under some books for a couple days took out some of the curvature but did not make them flat. Flat photos would be much easier to mount but are probably more expensive to ship.

Very precise and straightforward ordering platform, quick shipping, VERY careful packaging to avoid damage. The mat is excellent quality and is true to color. The only change I would recommend is to have more bold mat colors available. Bright/vibrant colors are more in-demand than neutrals now in design, but there aren't many of those options available here. For example there's only one shade of orange available but there's 16 different shades of grey....

I recently switched to American Frame. I am a photographer who also operates a small framing operation. My previous supplier of Nielsen (and other) frames recently retired. I settled on American Frame after some research and a session with customer service. My recent order was fulfilled in a timely manner and packed beautifully. The frame components (5 in all) were individually packed, and the assembly hardware packed separately. There was plenty of void fill in the box to protect the contents. Also the miter cuts in the metal frames were perfect - no burrs and the angles through to the base were also perfect. I will be a repeat customer for sure. Good workmanship, order fulfillment and service.

Easy to find desired product and customize.

I NEVER write reviews but I am so pleased about my recent frame purchases that I had to share. Not only were the frames a great price but they look even better than on the website. The instructions to add the hardware were perfectly clear and even a rookie like myself took only about 10 minutes to complete.

The interface is easy to understand. There are plenty of inserted links which help to understand definitions of terms and process.
