Always good
**Disappointing customer service
**Disappointing customer service – £28 dispute**
Ambrose Rose accused me of wearing a garment and returning it, subsequently charging me £28. I completely dispute this.
I always shower before trying on clothes and never apply deodorant beforehand, specifically to avoid marking garments. I didn’t notice any marks when the item was returned to me, so I have no reason to believe I would have noticed any when it was originally sent.
I have repeatedly asked for proof that the garment was sent to me without marks, but my request has been ignored.
It’s not about the £28, it’s about the principle. I expect a company to provide evidence to support an accusation, rather than simply expect a customer to accept the charge.
Clearly, Ambrose Rose is happy to lose a customer over £28 rather than properly address a legitimate complaint.
**You’ve lost my custom. Bye-bye, Ambrose Rose!**
shoes
whatever happened to the five triple e shoes i could get at one time. i even was sent to a page where it said i could could find them. all that was there were seven pairs sandals and one with heels which are no good when you are looking for a couple of pairs of flat shoes. i am left feeling really disgusted by this. if i could have voted for no stars i would have.
Pokémon products massively inflated above RRP
I’m genuinely shocked at the pricing of Pokémon products on Ambrose Wilson.
For example, the Pokémon TCG: Destined Rivals Elite Trainer Box is being sold for £189.99, despite the RRP being £49.99.
That’s nearly 4 times the RRP for an ETB that can be purchased elsewhere at normal retail pricing.
I contacted Ambrose Wilson to question this and was told they aren’t selling Pokémon products at “five times the standard retail price”, with the explanation being that pricing can appear confusing because of bundles, catalogue formatting and their credit-based business model.
But that doesn’t really answer the issue. £189.99 is still £189.99, regardless of how the catalogue or credit system is presented.
I understand businesses can set their own prices, but charging £189.99 for a £49.99 RRP ETB feels extremely excessive and, to me, takes advantage of customers who may not know the normal Pokémon retail prices.
If you’re buying Pokémon products, check the RRP and shop around before purchasing from Ambrose Wilson.

It's so easy to get to
Refund not received for returns.
I ordered 4 pairs of sandals from Ambrose Wilson and returned all of them only because I chose a pair from another supplier.
I did not receive any refund so started a long chain of emails with them.
Eventually I received a refund for 1 pair. As all 4 were returned in the same parcel, I knew from this that Ambrose had received all 4 pairs.
I have given up hope of ever receiving the £116.60 that Ambrose owe me for the other 3 pairs.

Broke contract
Placed an order for shoes and paid extra for express delivery (£5.99). As there was a bank holiday I waited for delivery today, to be told "your delivery had been delayed " I called them and asked when it would be delivered to be told 3-5 days, on a package I paid extra to have next day.
They refused to contact evri, then changed timescale three times in the same conversation. They have therefore breached the contract they hold with me through non delivery and failure to provide alternative delivery information.

I keep on having issues with Ambrose…
I keep on having issues with Ambrose Wilson. This time they sent me a code to use to get a discount. It didn't work so I emailed them. They had my email obviously, and my name, but instead of replying with the code, this is what they sent (below) , as if they needed all this information to confirm I was genuine as I had replied to them using their original email. All I wanted was for them to send me the code they had already sent me. This put me off replying and buying from them again.
