I recently used this moving company and was very impressed with the service. Two men arrived—both were polite, friendly, and incredibly hardworking throughout the entire job.

The move itself was no small task. The flat had been rented by two elderly people and contained a large number of belongings, with over 40 boxes packed up along with other freestanding items that they carefully packed in their own huge bags. The movers had to carry everything down six flights of stairs from a third-floor flat, along with several large pieces of furniture.

At the other end, they delivered everything to a care home, where although there was a lift, there was still quite a long walk from the van to the lift, and then everything had to be taken up to a first-floor flat.

The final cost was higher than the original quote, but given the amount of work involved and the effort they put in, I was more than happy to pay it. They certainly didn’t slack at any point and the extra payment for the additional hours was justified.

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. I was initially quoted around £1,100 for moving the contents of my two-bedroom (50–55 sqm) flat as a single occupant. I had clearly stated in advance that the property was on the second floor.

On the day, the team raised multiple issues that should have been assessed beforehand, including the stairs and parking.

The move itself was extremely poorly managed. It took 14 hours, the van provided was too small, and the job was still not completed. Around 5–10% of my belongings were left behind, despite this being agreed as a full packing and moving service to be completed within the day. The movers left at 1am, exhausted, with the job unfinished.

The final bill exceeded £2,000 for a job that was not completed, effectively doubling the original quote. When I raised concerns, the company’s responses were dismissive and unreasonable. It became clear that they rely on subcontracted “man and van” workers without proper planning or accountability.

A moving company’s responsibility is to assess the job accurately and allocate the necessary resources. In this case, they failed on all fronts. I have moved many times before, and this was by far the worst experience. I chose a full-service company to reduce stress during a busy period, but the outcome was the opposite.

I would strongly advise others to avoid this company.

Everything was quick and easy. I needed urgent help and Claudia was very helpful She wasted no time in booking everything for me. Derek was super helpful, no extra instructions needed and communication was super straightforward. Will definitely use them again if I plan to move.

I had an excellent experience with amazing move. The team was professional, efficient, and handled everything with great care. The whole process was very smooth from start to finish, which made a big difference during what can often be a stressful time.

As someone who is visually impaired, it was especially important for me to feel confident and supported throughout the move. The movers were attentive, respectful, and made sure everything was clearly communicated and well organized. I truly appreciated their patience and understanding.

These guys were amazing; nothing was too much trouble including dates and times; they even provided a back up crew at the last minute when we realised quite how much stuff we had to move! Thoroughly recommend them to anyone considering moving. They actually made it quite a fun day!

I was let down at the last minute, and Amazing Moves stepped in when I needed them most. From start to finish, the whole process was second to none. I’ll admit I was a bit wary at first, but they quickly put my mind at ease.
Most importantly, the drivers arrived right on time, handled my new kitchen and appliances with great care during loading, and ensured everything was delivered safely to my home.

The two guys that turned up to help me move out to my new flat did a perfect job. They turned up on time, were confident and careful with all my belongings and handled everything really well. I was apprehensive about calling a company from a google search, but everything well really well. Thankyou.

Our experience was not good & for these reasons I wouldn’t recommend Amazing Moves:
Household possessions in storage for 3 months, AM cancelled a scheduled delivery date the night before delivery booked 3 weeks previously.
We were unable to schedule an alternative delivery date ‘due to operational reasons’, the onus being indicated on the storage provider to release our possessions.
After another month’s delay (after the move in date) was suggested we could only assume that our items had been lost or stolen & that AM weren’t telling us.
We managed to locate the storage provider in GL7 who couldn’t have been more helpful - they agreed to return the items to the London storage unit asap.
We were informed of the reason the items were held to ransom by the storage company, whom we located independently.
No management response (Maria responded, however some days she says she’s in charge, some days she says she has to refer to her boss) to our formal complaint using AM’s complaints procedure.
No contact with the boss of AM who apparently doesn’t speak to clients!
AM are very apologetic but have no accountability.

There are some plus sides to our experience:
Although the removals guys aren’t the quickest, they are prompt, careful & friendly. Only one minor kitchen item broken.
Claudia was very helpful & had empathy of our situation returning long haul with 2 infants. (Maria facilitated her companies unprofessional behaviour, in our opinion).
The storage company were outstanding in liaising to make sure their end of the transaction was completed.
No charge for final delivery or storage charges after paying £2000 & having had possessions held to ransom does not compensate for misinformation & lies.

We had a great experience with the removal guys. They were efficient, friendly and worked hard. We ended up paying less than the quote as it didn't take so long, probably cause they were so good. Many thanks

Do not store your property with this appalling company. I have been waiting 6 weeks for them to return my stuff and am still waiting. They have cancelled delivery last minute TWICE. No explanation.

Extremely professional, efficient, quick, careful and polite. Fully equipped vans to look after your possessions. I was quoted for four hours, they did it in three so I only paid for the three hours. No dragging it out to get the four hours. Great guys, thoroughly recommend.

I was moving across country by myself so needed some help, the 2 gentlemen who turned up were fantastic and loaded the van up with everything I asked them to load! They were so careful and experienced. Unfortunately I had broken down in my own vehicle travelling so had to ask them to move the furniture/items inside without me being there. I couldn't have asked for a better service. Before we left I asked them if we could put down floor protectors I had bought at the new place and they had, they had also made a conscious decision based on what the item/furniture was and what the boxes said with where to place them! Couldn't have asked for a better service- thank you!

Great service! Booking process was friendly and straightforward. My expectations managed throughout. Guys arrived on time and we were all moved into an apartment on the 23rd floor without any hassle or damages. Would recommend this company and would use them again.

Absolutely appalling company and service, do not book by any means. I arranged for my storage unit to be delivered 2.5 weeks ago which they failed to deliver and are still not committing to a rescheduled date because of “operational scheduling issues”.

My review of Amazing Moves would be to avoid at all cost. What is not made clear is that Amazing Moves doesn't have any vans or drivers, the jobs are all subcontracted to man with van for the lowest quote - some complete random person pitches up to move your furniture and possessions. You might as well use Shipley yourself! Their website is the most misleading load of rubbish I have ever read, generated by AI, talking about Amazing Moves in a dance context! Wish I'd noticed that first.

I booked a full pack service for the move out. The removal duo turned up with a dirty box van and absolutely zero packing materials. If I had not bought boxes and bags myself and pre packed some it would have been a complete disaster. The two men had no communication from Amazing Moves that this was required. While they were pleasant they were not professional packers by any stretch of the imagination just two lads with a van.

Getting the furniture back from their storage involved a delay of over a week, so we were sat in new flat without any of our belongings/furniture.

The delivery was then 4 hours late, with no updates until I called Amazing Moves. No apologies. Two more random men arrived and brought our possessions into the flat. They then demanded we pay them directly into their personal bank account because it was 7pm by now and the AM office was shut. We refused, because this had not been arranged with us, very intimidating to have to stand your ground with two men in the dark.

The amount of damage to our furniture due to careless storage and handling is heart breaking. All the furniture was in absolutely brand new condition when it left our flat, now has gouges, scratches and dents. I raised this with Amazing Moves and got an email back saying they would not investigate it until I paid the bill! Talk about blackmail.

Paid the bill in full, submitted the claim form and supporting images on 13th November, heard nothing so chased up on 15th December, heard nothing so chased up on 7th January. Then get a response saying they will pay out £100 for all the damage. This does not even cover the cost of my time submitting the claim and chasing it up! Took weeks to even pay this insulting amount.

In short I do not recommend, the service is misleading, I very much doubt that the staff are all vetted, they certainly are not professional movers and don't care about the damage that they cause. Certainly NOT AMAZING.

They are brilliant. Very easy to book, transparent pricing, good communication by administrators Donna & another lady. The team of Vladimir & Emo did a great job of dismantling, moving and putting together all the furniture & appliances. Highly recommend them.
