It's being an horrible experience. I bought a full PC gamer by parts, spent almost 1,5 thousand euros, and still don't have all my parts after 2 weeks.
Tried to cancel the order, was IMPOSSIBLE. They say that you can be supported in English, the costumer support HANG UP on me more than once, refusing to speak in English (even that they were understanding me perfectly). Lied to me many times that would send me an e-mail about my missing parts, never did, lied to me that I would get my parts in the other day, never received to this day! My wife that is German steps in to help, they keep saying to her that will arrive till Friday, till Wednesday, un till the end of the week, but it never NEVER gets delivered.

On the 6th of May, 2023 (a week after this review has been written) I ordered a gaming notebook from there. The price of this notebook has been reduced from 999€ to 699€.

After 3 Business days (on a Wednesday) (Sundays do not count as Business days) it arrived. The product seemed to be new, as they stated on their Website. They also included the Day it would arrive at, which were Tuesday-Wednesday.

The specs also matched with the ones that were listed on their Website. In case you wanna know them:

Edit: I changed the RAM and SSD, for the RAM I went for the Crucial 3200Mhz CL22 Dual Kit (SO-DIMM, as those are specifically made for motherboards that are installed on notebooks)

For the SSD I went for the Lexar NM790 2TB (M.2, Nvme)

9ms response time (Not sure if that's true, as I don't see a huge difference with my 0.5ms monitor for my desktop. I got this information from other sources, so that may be wrong.)

So far everything is good. Now I do not know how their customer service is, however once I have the need to call them, I will update this review and include my experience with them.

But for now that's it. I received my product and it arrived at the days that were stated on their Website. The product also arrived at perfect conditions and the specs matched.
That's what matters the most.

Update (for the notebook itself): In case you're curious about the amount of RAM/SSD slots, you can replace the 8GB default RAM with SODIMM sticks, 2 in total. The RAM sticks that come pre-installed are 2 4GB sticks.

And for the SSD, there's one slot for it, I replaced the default 512GB SSD with a 2TB SSD and it works without a flaw.

The wifi card that's installed also seems to be fast, reaching between 43-51MB/s download and around 11MB/s upload. (Connected to wifi, there's no Ethernet cable plugged in)

Meanwhile my PC, which has an Ethernet cable plugged in reaches 48-53MB/s download and around 12MB/s upload.

Buying something is fine returning it if something is wrong is hell make sure to pay only with PayPal so you can open a case if need be it took the 2 months to get back to me while I had all the info it was delivered 2 days after sending

Used alternate for several deliveries over the past years, always 1 or 2 day delivery. I'm living in a city at the moment and it's always been 1 day delivery time here. Back when I used to live in a small town in a rural area it sometimes took 2 days delivery time.

Customer support is really fast and never had any issues with it. Though I only needed to contact them once so far (because of my mistake) and my brother only needed to contact them once so far as well. A cheap USB stick he ordered as a part of a bigger delivery wasn't working. He received another one the day after messing customer support about it. So there's not many experiences this opinion is based on.

I ordered RAM kit, 2 NVME SSDs and CPU Cooler, everything was neatly packed and delivered in perfect condition. Definitely will use Alternate.de in future.

Ordered a computer monitor which I needed before the long weekend ahead, and alternate.de showed it was available for delivery. I'd never ordered from them before and am happy to support websites other than amazon.de But then suddenly an email came that the delivery date was now unknown and it provided NO further info (very unhelpful email). I called their hotline and the person on the phone confirmed they didn't have the product to ship and no idea when it would be available. So the problem is their website doesn't seem to be properly updating the stock on hand which leads to very poor experiences for shoppers like me. And now I've missed the chance to receive this product from any other retailer by the time window I had. Doubtful I'll ever purchase from them again.

Edit: I prefer not to share my personal information here naturally, but as I wrote, I did speak directly to your customer service on a call and shared with them my experience and what in my view should be fixed. For record the product was AOC AGON AG493UCX2. Platforms like this one sometimes are the only way to ensure others are aware of the bad experiences to avoid and hopefully drive incentive for the retailers to make the necessary improvements.

Fast response time for make a quote (international order), payment and order rather quickly processed and safely packed.
Great prices on many items also.

I have ordered my PC on the 30.01.23, received a faulty computer, late. The build was also questionable, with the CPU radiator not sitting a 90 degree angle and the extra fan installed in the wrong place.

Last week, on the 8th of March, I was told the faulty equipment had been identified and replaced. That the PC was being tested over night to make sure all was well. But I am still waiting... It is now the 13th of March, and still no communication from ALTERNATE.

There was no apologies, offer of compensation, or show of concern for the delay or the build quality.

Edit: The repaired computer was received on Thursday 16.03.23. The CPU, Motherboard, RAM, and Power supplies were replaced. Seems strange that they sent out the PC in that state in the first place. Unfortunately, the GPU is also faulty, giving an Error 43 (it wasn´t the drivers).
Alternate asked me to send back the GPU, and are sending a new one as we speak 21.03.23.

Edit 2: GPU arrived on the 23.03.23. The PC finally works. That was quite an ordeal, not sure what to say.

I highly suggest skipping this site. The product comes yes, but in my case i had a 7900x cpu which i had to wait for all my parts to arrive and the motherboard i first got had bent pins and i still tried using the motherboard to see if it could post and i could not get it to post, no biggie i sent it back and ordered another motherboard and when it arrived i then also tried with the cpu i bought from Alternate and i only kept getting messages of new cpu installed with every boot, i swapped out all parts, tried bios flash as well and nothing fixed the issue so i contacted alternate and had to wait and wait for ressponses. I finally got them to answer by reporting the case to paypal and the company finally answered with sending me a return labell and now has been over a week in which they had the cpu and still no answer from them. Avoid this site as they sell broken items and their customer service iss really really horrible. The cpu has now been returned to me with papers saying it passed their tests, the cpu was filthy and had thermal paste everywhere which i had to clean up as well and am stuck with a non working cpu. Ripoff scammers

So, I had never used this website and it was suggested to me by a friend. I bought almost an entire computer on Alternate, they were missing the CPU Cooler that I wanted sadly so I contacted their support to ask more details. I must admit, this was the best service I could have received. They were very helpful and quick to answer and even gave me alternative suggestions so I don't have to wait!

Alternate saved our day.
Ein Geschenk war uns in der Bestellorgie vor Weihnachten durchgerutscht, was wir erst am 21.12. bemerkten. Wir waren sehr überrascht, dass Alternate auch andere Produkte neben PC und PC Komponenten anbietet. Am 21.12. bestellt und am 23.12 war das Paket da. Super! Vielen lieben Dank an alle beteiligten Helferlein.

Order placed when there was 2 TV’s left in stock according to website.

Alternate Took payment of €1,300.

They sent me an email a day later (after black friday deals were over) that the order would be delayed 5 days.

5 days later - after cyberweek ended - Alrernate informs me the order will now be 3 weeks delayed.

So Alternate has taken my money, and prevented me from buying elsewhere while the prices were at their lowest, and clearly don’t have my product - thus forcing me to either pay €400 more, or accept their shady/illegal business practices.

after a 20 minute call with customer service, they can’t even provide a 10 or 20% discount. Instead I will have to live without a TV in December in my new apartment.

By drip-feeding the order delays, they have essentially kept me captive. The customer service rep said it wasn’t illegal because i could have my money refunded - but that’s in this case the equivalent of losing €400.

Of course, if theres a repeated pattern of taking customers money, and selling them products they don’t have in stock, until the manufacturer sells the stock cheaper again, this would be illegal and likely investigated by a public litigator/regulator.

Although it’s not illegal in this case on its own, the behavior is still borderline fraudulent and they’re operating in shady territory.

I would avoid this company and go with a more reputable competitor - these guys will likely not change their behavior until they get fined/audited.

Edited* I ordered a Gregory Kalmia 50L backpack from Alternate. The package was delivered in a speedy manner, BUT the item was wrong. Called the customer service hotline, the person was very helpful and the correct item was sent and receives around 2 weeks later.
Wasn't able to get the backpack on time but, overall the issue was resolved smoothly. Thank you very much!

Bought some pc components for 1.2k everything came in 2 days which is really good, but the products are a little bit more expensive than elsewhere. Overall really pleased 4/5 stars!
