I would not recommend this company to…

I would not recommend this company to anyone. I hired them to do some landscaping work in my house and I had a bad experience. I paid over £18000 for some work that left me unsatisfied and mistreated.

Two things went wrong.

During the quotation phase Mark was very dismissive of all my requests and I was under the impression that I was asking trivial things. Later on he has denied that I asked him those things and he did not want to do it.

Before starting the work I put down into an email the main things I asked him to do and I am glad I did that as these ware the only features he eventually accepted to do. Unfortunately the few silly things I haven't written down have not been done. I would also recommend you to become accustomed to technical terms. You need to know the difference between ACO drains and French drain (and tumle bricks and many others) and make sure those are written down in a document. Showing him an ACO drain and ask him to do the same is evidently not enough.

The second thing that was really bad is how he treated me. We had agreed for 4 payments interleaved and this is exactly what I did. The last payment was supposed to happen only at the end of the end of the job. However something happened that as of today I cannot understand. Near the end of the job Mark started to shout and threatened me to leave if I would have not anticipated the last payment. I did
not make the payment and he actually recalled all his workers and left my property (I have CCTV footage showing this). It was very bad: shouting in the neighbourhood, asking for money which I had paid already. I stood on my position and did not pay him. He left my house before he finished the job leaving my property exposed with no fence. I had to contact my insurance company (gladly I had legal protection) which advised to seek an amicable way for him to complete the job. I reluctantly called them back and they quickly came to finish the job. During the call he tried to threaten me again but I clearly stated that I would have not called him anymore and mentioned I would have passed everything to my insurance which would have sued him. They came back like beaten dogs near the end of the day to finish off the work.
