Be wary. Terrible administration.
We are attending the Brunswick clinic for multiple stage immunotherapy for my grandson who has severe seasonal allergies. The doctor and staff at this clinic deserve a 5 star review. Unfortunately though, whomever administers the Allergy First brand, comes from Brisbane and is very difficult to deal with.
Normal businesses use an accounting system where they can custom design and generate invoices when they require payment. Not this one. They send an email with the information written out, no invoice number, nothing that could possibly be accepted by an accounts payable office if payment is being made by an organisation (in our case DFFH). They claim they've never been asked before. I find that very difficult to believe. They don't sign their emails with a particular person but I have always spoken to the same one and received one email that he signed - Jason. It appears to be a one-man-band operation and very unprofessionally administered.
For the second stage, I even went to the trouble of creating an invoice in Word (the exact same file format they finally sent a basic invoice in after I repeatedly asked) which had everything that needed to be included so that the payment and ordering process could run smoothly. All they had to do was fill in the dates and forward it for payment. Nope, they sent the old rubbish that caused all the issues the first time. This time though, Jason claims that they DO have an accounting program that generates this pathetic excuse for an invoice but they can't put all the information required when making a payment on it. The big issue is that you have to email them with proof you've paid (it's via EFT and he says they don't monitor the account for payment) and the delivery address. It's just ridiculous!
I asked him to just use the template I sent but he says he can't as the system didn't generate it. OMG! Either they need to employ an additional person who understands technology and payment systems or fire Jason and replace him with someone with some decent customer service and business skills. Of course, that is if it isn't just a one-man-band operation and I'm not convinced that it isn't.
The ONLY reason I'm not calling this a scam outright is because the doctor and staff at the Brunswick clinic are so great. I'll report back on how the treatment is working...or not, before I give my final verdict.
