You may have seen our eye-catching vans and bright logos! We have a highly skilled trades team and office team who are happy to assist you at all times. The team has now grown to multiple vans and trades and offer a 7 day call out service. We also operate 24 hours a day where needed. Our knowledge of Gas, Heating, Plumbing and Drainage is fantastic on domestic systems and our engineers are fully qualified with a minimum level 2 Diploma, ACS Gas qualifications or Jetting Association qualifications dependent on trade. Alings was engaged by homeserve company…

Alings was engaged by homeserve company to carry out a water leak repair inside my house.
A plumber was sent to investigate the leak. She was very professional and dedicated to find the leak. She did this by digging on concrete floor and using specialised equipment she found the problem. Jessica spent two days investigating and found the exact spot of the leak and fixed it.
Jessica recommended to HomeServe that external specialist engineers should investigate further because although she fixed the leak indoors, the water meter was showing there is consumption of water, with the stopcock closed, indicating a secondary leak.
The reason for 4 stars out of 5 is not linked to Jessica as she showed she was an excellent plumber, but by my experience with the external engineers workmanship, who did not achieve an effective/leakproof connection between the newly installed water pipe in the garden to the lead pipe, 1.6m away from the water meter outside.

Well done .. you smashed it !!!

After a few intial hiccups installing a new toilet the Managing Director Aaron Lings personally stepped in and sorted out all of the issues .. this is a guy who cares passionately about the reputation of his business and will take it upon himself to resolve any outstanding problems and go the extra mile, in a "win/win" successful outcome for both parties concerned

Russel truly excelled in his work

Russel truly excelled in his work. He approached the installation methodically, quickly identified the issue, and resolved it promptly. His politeness and courteous nature were very much appreciated. I would strongly recommend his services.

did not turn up on the accepted job…

did not turn up on the accepted job order for the second time. did not even call during the day to let me know, to think that the alloted time for the engineer appointment is from 8am to 6pm. belatedly re-scheduled the visit on next day - the day i am not available. what is the use of asking customer for availability, when after taking time-off from work, they can just turn up anytime/anyday they want.

Incompetent & Expensive - Avoid completely

Hello A lings - I can provide email evidence of all the points I have raised in my review. I am sure you would not like that evidence to be listed here. So pls don't hide behind long political response. My review stands and I do not recommend you at all

I hired these guys for doing two EICR renewals at my rental properties because I had heard a lot of good things about Russell (the electrician). However, after hiring them, they contracted out the work to another company - RHD electrical - from where it was downhill all the way. The cost quoted were very high, the initial ECR reports took painfully long time to reach me, the reports failed the EICR and they quoted astronomically high price for repairs which included duplicate EICR costs which are not required by law. It took multiple back and forth before they realized mistakes in their own quotes and corrected them - by which time they were almost at the end of 28 days of legal deadline for remedies. I had to beg my tenants to let them come in for carrying out the remedial work - after which the whole process started again. Delays in sending out the final report despite multiple reminders - and the remedial report and on top, the remedy report still classified the work as unsatisfactory - requiring me to carry out further remedies on the work that these guys had carried out based on their own investigation!!! As it turns out, some incompetent form filler in their office had made the remedy report and classed it as 'unsatisfactory' instead of 'satisfactory'!! Extremely painful experience - avoid with a barge pole if Russel is not involved. No response to my repeated complaints yet.

We would like to clarify a few points:

1) All pricing was provided up-front as a no-obligation quote.
You were under no pressure to proceed and this is the first time you have raised any concern regarding cost. You then instructed us to carry out both the EICRs and the remedial works, again without raising any pricing concerns at the time.

2) There were no mistakes in our quotations.
You requested additional clarity on certain items during the process, which we were happy to provide. All queries were answered promptly and accurately.

3) There were no delays in issuing your reports.
Reports were sent within normal timeframes, and as a gesture of goodwill we provided updated EICR reports free of charge, even though we had made it clear from the beginning that these would usually incur a fee. You were not charged for any repeat EICRs.

4) The classification issue you mentioned was an administrative error on the remedial certificate, which was corrected immediately once you notified us. This did not affect the safety of the installation or the work completed.

5) We have not received any formal complaint from you.
This review is the first time you have expressed dissatisfaction. We encourage all customers to contact us directly so we can resolve any concerns quickly and professionally.

Emergency callout

Excellent service

Excellent service, Russell attended my property within the time frame he told me.
He got straight down to trying to establish the fault and find fault within a minute. He was very professional throughout and done job within 10 mins.

Tremendous Job from Russell…

Russell has done a tremendous and Professional job in getting our Electrical back on where we had no Power on house sockets for 3 days.
He was able to find the fault in a place where no one could have thought.
So happy with his services and couldn't ask for more from Russell.
