Not happy with bell security period

Not happy with bell security period. Since I have had this system installed.. rear backyard camera had to be replaced less then 4 months old... this is my second key fog that has been replaced. Got a fine of $144.00 from the Kingston Police force for a false alarm that bell said was set off. Still trying to figure out what caused the false alarm. Cannot wait to get rid of Bell.

Bell home

Bell home. What can i say. So many false alarms. Alarm techs are rude when they call in to check. I wish i could rip it out of the wall but then i'm stuck with their sign in or whatever !!!!!! contract they call it. Get a dog instead and you have a working alarm system and you can tell it to shut up on command

After 10 years alarm force had to leave probably because of Bell

If I could rate them less than one I would have. Everything was fine during the sales pitch to upgrade my current alarm force system.then came installation. My previous system did not require low-voltage connection to it the new one did as well as antennas which required mounting inside the walls. My wife informed the installation technician that they were plaster walls in my home and the drywall saw might not be a very good choice To use. He drove the saw into the wall and shorted out an electrical wire behind the plaster. The control panel is almost 3 times the size of my old panel and looks terrible on the wall. All that being said I had the technician remove everything take it out and have since cancelled my service with alarm force. The company used to be very good until bell purchase them now like all other bill products poor customer service.I’m also probably into a big argument about who’s going to pay for the mess made behind my walls.

I would rate them negative stars if I…

I would rate them negative stars if I could. Worst company I’ve ever dealt with. If you can avoid going with them. PLEASE do.
I signed up for SmartHome, technician that came to my house provided me with a contract which stated 3 years, I expressed concerns with signing for 3 years. He said I could cancel at any time without fee or move my service as I was in a temporary location. I asked probably 10 times... every time I asked he said, "Nope. No fees" Fast forward 6 months I call to cancel - they want to charge me $1000!@!!@! I advised them the info the tech gave me, they didn't care. I spoke with a manager - there's one ONE apparently. He advised yup $1000 to cancel. They’re awful, and anyone who works in customer service knows not to argue with the customer and that’s all they do. I’ve never not been argued with. So I reluctantly kept it. I called several times to advised the service stopped working - they don't care. Fast forward to now - I know I cant cancel without fees, I am moving - so I called to move my service. Only to find out $200 to move it to my new location!!!!!!! So I can't cancel, I can't move it without fees, also the stupid system stopped working 6 months again! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE learn form my mistakes. Call Rogers Home Alarm or get a Ring alarm. Do not waste your time, energy or money on Bell Smart Home - You will regret it.
Don’t ever ever ever go with them. Worst decision I have EVER made. RANT OVER

Very poor quality on video cameras

Very poor quality on video cameras! All you can see is a person or vehicle coming up to your home but there's no detail. The live and saved videos are grainy and there are large gaps of motion missing between being triggered.
Extremely disappointed and will not recommend this system!
Now we are stuck with a contract of truly poor quality. Yes... shame on us too for thinking the extra cost was worth dealing with a company that was "local."

This is the worst security company I…

This is the worst security company I have ever seen. They new call themselves Bell smart home. Smug and arrogant staff, especially their management team that only care for one thing, get more subscriptions for a security service they clearly never had the skills and neither the real intention to set up properly. They have a poor selection of security devices that they don’t seem to really understand.

I ended up their contract right after couple of months of use and went back with a real security service provider, exactly how I was before making the big mistake to switch with them.

They tricked me with their contract exactly as the other reviewers of this site so I had to pay them for the whole contract upfront. At least I am happy that I realized the poor quality of their service and finally been able to find experts to fix their mess and make me feel more secure. Even if they were willing to come back to try to fix their crap for the third time, I decided to break the contract and secure myself by having this company away from my house. As the other reviewers, intermittent false trigger, Doorbell not working, HD Camera not configured properly and use of defective devices where some of the issues I got from the very beginning.

My advice is: Finds any other provider, you will have difficulties to find worst than them.

Absolutely worst customer service I’ve…

Absolutely worst customer service I’ve ever encountered. I can’t even cancel because they make you pay out the rest of the contract. Constantly problems with the security camera and smoke detector. Incredibly rude staff on the phone that don’t try to resolve any of the problems. I can’t stress enough how absolutely disgusted and disappointed I am with this company. DO NOT GO WITH BELL OR ALARM FORCE!

I have been completely take advantage of!!!!!!

Worst service ever! Nothing but lies and manipulation tactics! I have been charged for 2 years of service and my security has not worked once! Called many times about the issue and they kept telling me someone would be out to fix the issue until I finally gave up!! I would not recommend this service whatsoever! 0 rating. Do yourself a favour and find another service provider.

Another rip-off by BellMTS

Have been a AAA Alarm customer for almost 20 years and just upgraded to the bell smart home system in April 2019 (Bell bought AAA Alarm). The system was supposed to have the video doorbell ( as per the salesman), however our Bell DSL internet is so poor the video doorbell will not function and we had to go without it. Our circumstances recently changed and we are moving, and SURPRISE, SURPRISE the system cannot be transferred which is different from what the salesperson indicated as he said it was the same as AAA Alarm. It could be relocated however I would have to pay for it and we are moving to a secure facility where it is not required. When I questioned the Bell representative as to why it couldn’t be transferred to new occupants if they wanted it, the response was since Bell took over AAA Alarm they no longer do transfers as they will not transfer the warranty. In short I have to buy out the balance of the two year contract (30 months @ $45/M) and if the new occupants want an alarm system they have to enter a new two year contact with Bell. What a ripoff as there was never no mention during the presentation or purchasing of the system of this restriction, so beware when considering purchasing a Bell Smart Home System. For me, it guaranteed that I definitely will not be considering Bell in the future for phone, internet or TV. Another lost customer for life.

Omg if I had seen this website I would…

Omg if I had seen this website I would have never ever got with bell. I had the good package , and we didn't have a camera and that was the whole reason that I had wanted to get the security system so I got the better package let me tell you I was sorry I feel as though that may be the ones****** with our systems. There's too many things that have happened with the system you know tampering side door open your door open disarming on its own now if it's not them it's a ghost. So many people have had a problem I don't know why we can't have make a petition to try and shut this down, I mean I have never experienced
something quite like this. But I'm sure if there's enough people we can do something food for thought serious though thank you okay

Bell's escalation team does not deal with any of their issues.
They charge you a fortune and I have tried to reach out to their customer care management team for months without success.
If you don;t agree and overcharged on bills they send you to collections.

Worst experience ever!!!

Worst experience ever. At least 7 technician visits due to unqualified technicians, equipments not working properly or results of bad programming from technicians. The appointment dates moved last minute or technician just dont show up. Billing department is incompetent, errors on contract and the following revised versions were also wrong. They do not issue invoice unless you strongly insist. After 3 months, they keep claiming for wrong amounts. Had to escalate to senior executives to get attention from their staff to try to fix the issue. On top of that, their ‘collection’ department kept calling requesting payments for incorrect invoices.
If you have other options, consider them. Loyalty department was the worst one: not listening to the client at all. They dont even recognize that their staff needs coaching or acknowledge their wrongs. They did not offer any apologies until I insisted to understand their assessment of the situation. They were so happy when I said I have no other choice than cancel the contract. Bell will need time to get this new smart home security business together. The team lead told me my situation is one out of the million. Not according to the reviews I am reading on trustpilot or other website.

Called Alarmforce and found out that it…

Called Alarmforce and found out that it is now Bell. I was disappointed that Bell bought a well known alarm system company as I don't like to deal with big corporations. The appointment was for 2 cameras. When the Tech arrived, he was very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. He walked through the whole process and completed the installation in a timely fashion. He explained how to use the system in great details.
If you are going to get an alarm system ask for Oscar, I had many technicians come to my house for services he is the only tech that knew what he was doing.

No integrity. I'm surprised.Shame on you!

They came and took over system, intermittent false triggers, sets off alarm in middle of night, send techs over (3 times already), i have to take day off work and they can't find problem. As a result, we dont set it, they wont let us out of contract , I would avoid signing any contracts with this company. Your " peace of mind" which they sell you on, means nothing to them. I'm getting a dog . As soon as other contracts are expired I will not renew. Shame on you Bell !!

We were with Alarmforce initially and…

We were with Alarmforce initially and then Bell took it over. Yesterday I had another teck out as our cameras are not picking up things on the doorbell cameras. A car was broken into on our driveway right beside the camera - picked up nothing. The Bell agent on the phone (Tyler) told me they are not really for security???? WTH!!! Are you kidding me??? What are we paying for - to look pretty? A bunch of morons. Company has gone down the tubes since Bell took it over. We have been with this service for 10 years and will be leaving when our existing contract ends. Garbage company. do not waste your money on them. So disappointed that they sold to this garbage company who do not give a crap about paying customers.

garbage

Got the system with two cameras installed. The system never worked right. Over the course of 10 days we had 4 techs come out to try and fix everything from multiple faulty door sensors to cameras that wouldn’t record. We’ve had about 6 false alarms since it was installed. Techs have admitted that since Bell bought out AAA and implemented a new system there has been problems. The system has been more trouble than its worth. System is getting removed and for anyone looking to get it, don’t. The system is too new and hasn’t worked out the glitches yet.

Low Quality Video Clips

Hello,

I've had the doorbell camera and a second driveway surveillance camera installed for about 3 weeks now. After calling to buy the systems, it took about 2 weeks to have them installed. The videos record at a maximum of 5 FPS. You can choose 1,2,3 or 5. lol. The human eye views life at 30 FPS and the majority of TV screens are 30-60 FPS, otherwise you see flickering. So you can imagine how poor the 'video clips' are. More just a collection of still images.

I called to inquire about it because there's no way this is standard. They said to wait 2 weeks until a technician can come look at it. The technician couldn't fix it and left, saying I had to call the company. I called them back immediately and they said they'll send another technician in another 2 weeks. I doubt this will change anything. If it doesn't, I'll be cancelling the service. If it does, I'll try to edit this post to an average rating.

I'd recommend you stay away for now.

Thanks,
