In duty free one minute and ended up back in arrivals

Went through security and duty free in Malaga airport. Took an escalator down beside duty free and ended back in arrivals. This took less than a minute, Boarding cards wouldn't work as had already been through 5 mins before. Then had to explain the duty free. Needless to say missed the flight. But could not find the way back from the boarding gate to arrivals this time and no one to ask. Still can not understand how easy one wrong move landed me back in arrivals.

Mañana Attitude Results In Very Slow Progress

4th time through Malaga Airport this year and all 4 have been stressful. Arriving two hours before boarding just isn’t enough if you have hold luggage. Absolutely no time to browse the shops or just grab a bottle of water. Put your trainers on so your feet are well equipped to RUN for your flight!!!! You would think they would want you to spend in the many shops, unfortunately you leave feeling like you’ve been herded through the airport.

wheelchair assistance for…

We requested wheelchair assistance for both parents we arrived 3hrs early to check bags and walker and then relax before the flight. We waited 1hr for assistance to help check bags in then we were taken to a holding area outside security which had no facilities. We were collected and taken through security and passport control 40mins before take off which gave us no time to go to duty free, get a drink or go to the toilet! Most of the passengers had boarded the flight which made it difficult to get to seats. This is now the second time this has happened at Málaga it's an absolute disgrace!

Boarding is comical at best

Boarding is comical at best. In 50 years of flying I’ve never encountered such slow disorganized staff. Where is the urgency??
Hundreds of people boarding to AUH at gate 37 today, big delay with no explanation and people just jumping the queues as there are no staff to get them in line.
I cannot remember a flight that I have taken from AGP that wasn’t delayed.
It’s simply not good enough and a review of adequate staffing levels is required.
Boarding completely ruins the otherwise decent Malaga airport experience.
Sort it out!!

EXTREMELY BAD AIRPORT EXPERIENCE

People treated in awful rude way. The queue went all the way around the airport foodcourt/shops
Absolute shambolic chaos and no clear communication to travellers. People getting into a long queue in a sense of panic as the queue was getting longer and longer and people believing they may miss their flight due to the time it was taking to move. Spain/ Malaga surely this does represent Spain to visitors?

Extremely poor representation of spain thats gives an all round bad experience of your country to visitors

Terrible experience, missed flight!

Terrible experience at this airport. Passport control is understaffed. The queues are huge and extremely slow. The staff were all very unhelpful and rude. We ended up missing our flight home and were blamed for not being on time. We tried to explain that we were stuck in the huge passport queue but the airport staff were horrible and would not help at all. We weren't the only people that happened to! Kids were upset and crying. It was awful. It's as though they don't want the British to travel there, did honestly get the vibe from them. We won't be back that's for sure.

Passport control terrible

Passport control terrible. Waited nearly an hour, when we got to the desk, the two men inside were facing each other and not looking at the passengers, no eye contact they never looked at us, then stamped our passports, then threw them on the counter. Where is the security there? Ok they don’t want the Brits there any more but they should be careful what they wish for. They should be sacked for sheer negligence.

Complete SHAMBLES, missed flights

Complete SHAMBLES, missed flights. Twenty plus Border Checks, only three in use - Clearly Malaga does not want Brits anymore so they make them wait and miss flights - wont be coming here again EVER!!!!

Terrible border control:

Terrible border control:

Arrived 11.40pm last night together with maybe 5 or 6 other flights. There were only four people checking passports at passport control for maybe 800-1000 people. Took over an hour to get through. Malaga may be crowing about its passenger numbers but if they treat people like this then that situation will change as people lose patience.

Shocking…… herded through sections then…

Shocking…… herded through sections then held like cattle, took over 90 minutes to get through passport control. Only 4 kiosks open with all the operatives on their phones whilst slowly checking passports. There might st have been hundreds of passengers trying to come through and they were utterly unprepared as on previous visits. When we got to the baggage collection there was suitcases all over the floor because they had been there that long ! It’s a dull smelly airport with stale air and unhelpful staff …..

Racist security hit me… I didn’t do…

Racist security hit me… I didn’t do anything wrong. I’m a solicitor and was travelling with a baby and my family. She was fine with everyone else. Difference between me and everyone else… I am Asian and brown skinned. I’m also contacting the airport directly to make a complaint.
