very competative prices and booking alot lately
Great experience and looking forwrad for more discounted stay my last visit was WAFFLE DUBAI
On July 17 at 3:00 AM, booking #678469015 failed (wrong keybox code, host unreachable). Agoda Support offered zero emergency lodging, leaving us stranded on the street at night. We were forced to find a hotel ourselves.
Agoda’s customer service is stuck in an incompetent loop. After sending generic templates claiming my “booking is still valid", support agent Dimas now offered to "cancel the booking for free" and threatened that the host may charge me a penalty fee—for a trip that ended days ago and was paid!
Host silence does NOT release Agoda from its duty of care. Stop threatening fees for completed trips and escalate case #678469015 to a Senior Manager immediately
UPDATE:
Agoda's public reply below from "Rosie" is just fake PR. After many emails they gave me only a $17 in Agoda Cash and closed my case without solving the problem.
I just got my monthly phone bill: waiting 40 minutes on hold with Agoda support at 3 AM cost me $51 USD in phone charges so received $17 credit does not even cover the phone bill forced on me to call their helpline.

Booked the hotel from Agoda. when we went there, the booking was cancelled. Agoda customer care said they "called the hotel, but no one was speaking on call". Had out of town guests, had to pay 3x the Agoda quoted amount in the hotel. It is a clean scam where you are given a booking at lower price, and when you arrive, you are asked to pay inflated amount. Then they have "customer care call the hotel", and pretend to have issues. This way they make more money through commission. Perfect scam.
Btw we asked the hotel and they said they got no call. Also told Agoda that i can patch in the call with hotel, bit they denied citing "internal policies".

Second time I've used them and I am totally satisfied with the price I pay. I tried other sites for the same hotel comfort inn and they quoted me 136 or 140 after taxes and fees. Total with all that from Agoda my room was 79.76!! With a king size bed and late checkout!
The price was good and I don’t have to pay until a few days before I go there
I booked a 3 day hotel stay in Waikiki using Agoda.com that I prepaid in FULL. The surcharge of @$135 was included in the prepayment, yet I had to pay the surcharges of $135 a second time when I checked-in at the Vive Hotel. I was not happy about the double payment!!!

BEWARE!
I booked a hotel through Agoda recently. I usually book through other third party websites, but I was drawn in by a cheaper rate. Do not make the same mistake as I did. I was charged and provided a booking ID right away, so I didn’t think I would have anything to worry about.
After I had already traveled to the hotel, I discovered that my reservation had been canceled. The cancellation was sent only TWO MINUTES minutes before check-in time on the day of my reservation. Agoda left me with virtually no opportunity to make alternative arrangements before arriving. What’s more, the hotel staff informed that Agoda had made another, more expensive reservation in the place of my own within the hour since my reservation was cancelled.
As a direct result, I had to find last-minute accommodations and incurred nearly $400 in additional out-of-pocket expenses for replacement lodging and travel that I would never have incurred had Agoda handled the reservation properly.
What makes the experience even more frustrating is Agoda’s continually deplorable responses. They deny responsibility, claim the booking was never confirmed despite providing me with a booking ID and charging my payment method, and offered me $16 in AgodaCash instead of reimbursing my documented losses.
NOTE: They still haven’t even refunded me for my original booking!
After I filed a more formal complaint against Agoda, I started getting bombarded with repeated phone calls from Agoda, via a Thailand-registered phone number, at various inappropriate hours of the day.
DO NOT use Agoda. It is not worth the risk. I am currently dealing with almost $600 in total incurred costs (including the original booking charge and a new last minute booking) all because I wanted to save $20. I made a huge mistake trusting this website without reading their many reviews first, so I hope that you can save yourself from the same emotional and financial strife.
Be aware that a reservation you believe is secure may not be, and resolving problems afterward may be far more difficult than expected.

Very bad customer service, i made a reservation on Agoda website and somehow got charged for 2 hotel rooms, it was a non-refundable policy but the hotel accepted to cancel the reservation and refund me. I called Agoda several times and there was no way to get refunded because they were dealing with another third party.
Their whole process is very complex and made it impossible to get refunded, so I’m now disputing the transaction through my credit card company.

Booked accessible twin bedded room via booking.com at Marston Inns. Received a reply from Agoda saying booking of double room acknowledged. Went to their site and guess what NO BOOKING. Called hotel direct and confirmed twin beds for my disabled wife and I. Agoda invoiced in US Dollars?? Got to hotel and found it was a double bed !! So had to hang around after a long tiring day to get it fixed. Totally useless travel organisation that seems to convince hotels they will get better trade by using Agoda. If you see they are involved cancel your reservation and re-book by a different route.

I strongly advise others to avoid Agoda based on my experience.
I booked and paid for a double room through Agoda at the higher rate. However, when I arrived, the hotel’s booking record clearly showed that Agoda had transmitted the reservation as a single room. I paid for one product but Agoda delivered another.
What has made this even worse is Agoda’s customer service. It has been virtually impossible to submit a complaint. The platform sends customers around in endless loops without providing a clear way to resolve the issue. This has been frustrating, time-consuming, and completely unacceptable.
I expect Agoda to provide an immediate reimbursement for the difference and take responsibility for the incorrect booking that was sent to the hotel.
Unless this matter is resolved promptly, I will continue to escalate it through consumer protection channels, review platforms, and social media so that other travellers are aware of my experience.
If you book through Agoda, verify your reservation directly with the hotel as soon as possible. My experience suggests that what you pay for on Agoda may not match what the hotel actually receives.

Quick and easy reservation with great choice of hotels at great rates.
Gave me a best available offer which I couldn't find anywere else
I booked a room in Frankfurt on 25.07.2026. I wanted to let hotel know that I’d be arriving late at the hotel, to ask if it is possible to leave a key for me, but as I couldn’t get through the hotel. I contacted agona customer services, and they said they put in touch with the hotel and hotel personal said they provide 24/7 reception services. It is a big lying. I came to hotel and nobody was in the reception, there was a notice at the hotel entrance stating that, due to an emergency, there would be no one at reception after 3 o’clock. Even though the hotel’s reception was unstaffed on 25.07.2026, they made a booking for that hotel.

Great service for getting back to me & allowing me for changing my booking
I had a very lucky experiance. I had a hotel booked in Bali for a friend who was flying in on the 29th of July, on the 25th I went to the hotel to inform them that the name of the guest would be differamt to the booking name only to find out there was no room booked and that they were booked out.
I found another motel for my friend and got the money back from Agoda but I will never use them again as the cannot be trusted.
