Bad Chrome owner.
I first called Advanced Custom Chrome to see if they would have time to chrome plate a rear bumper and a set of wheelie bars. I took them up the same day. They gave me a quote of $3074.00 and told me they would have them done in 3 months. The bumper did need some work but the guy that took my parts said that they were not bad, he had seen a lot worse. They wanted 1/2 down at the time of drop off.
I called 2 days before the date that they should have been done. I was told that they had not even started working on them. Chris the owner told me that they would get them started they next week. I called a week later and was told the same thing. I started calling every week to get updates and Chris started yelling on the phone that they would get done when they get done. Chris also told me that he may even charge me more because I called once a week. (Very poor excuse for a professional business owner).
When I went to pick the parts up over a month after they should have been done. Chris told me that he could not chrome the wheelie bars because the welds needed to be sealed and they would not do that. So then came the bill. Chris charged me full price for everything even though they did not complete the job. The chrome did not look bad on the bumper, but it was in no way show chrome. The wheelie bars are a mess. I am going to put a sign on them as to who did them at the first car show and every car show after that until I find someone that can do them right. I will never go back to them for anything. I will tell everyone I know and talk to that they need to stay away from this place.
