after years of the account closed, still getting bills

after many years 2024-2026 of calling in to cancel this service as it was inactive before they took over from the other company, I was promised the charge they said I owed would be waived, they are still trying to collect, and now they are threatening with collection agency. i called today and now they tell me there is no way to reverse this charge. ADT by TELUS is the worst, they charge for serves you don't have and then tell you, you have to pay or else. also give you false statements about accounts being closed and charges waived!

Malcom Kung (Chi Kung) should be fired

Malcom Kung (Chi Kung) should be fired. He is in custom home security is awful. He is rude and is the reason I am taking my phone, internet, cable and home security somewhere else. I have tried for weeks to be able to speak with a supervisor or manager about the situation and no one has called me back. Everything I call their customer service I get transferred around and have been told 7 times that someone will call me back. This is probably the worst service I have ever experienced with a company.

This whole "Prices Alarms" to Telus to ADT ABSOLUTE ABORTION of a service or lack off is UNACCEPTABLE...Been a Apparent Customer locked in on a term.... NOT ONCE I REPEAT NOT ONCE BEEN able to get a rep to answer ANY questions WITHOUT BEING HUNG UP ON

All they care about is overcharging you

I have been in a contract with these clowns - and what a moneygrabbing company they are. I've paid monthly by direct debit AND RECEIVED NOTHING I cancelled my contract and they still want money. Their customer service is non existent. To call the company it is all expensive telephone lines. In my opinion ADT just want money and offer NOTHING AT ALL. AVOID

Do not sign up for TELUS ADT - it is Garbage

I would like to state that we signed with TELUS ADT and have had nothing but issues and problems since day one. The equipment is substandard and outdated (cameras look like the 1990's Logitech Web Cam), camera goes down all the time - we have to constantly reboot. We have had numerous TELUS Techs here which all told us the same thing - it is your Internet. We have Rogers Ignite 1-Gig DL, 5G (2.4G Backward Compatible) as well as 2 Boosters (our main floor space is only 1000 Sq Ft), yet, our camera constantly goes down (Oh and BTW - they could not even provide a Wireless Doorbell Camera).
And when attempting to set our Security System at night, the system frequently goes into a "Bypassing Mode" and can take up to 30 minutes to set the Alarm System.
We are Seniors and do not really feel safe with this system. Having a Tech background I researched and there are so many "high tech" options out there at a fraction of the price you can set up yourself - which is what we are currently doing - so once we cancel TELUS we will be more secure (in the meantime, we have a lovely 90 LB Lab Pitbull). My recommendation - skip this garbage product (YES! It is Garbage) and install a "real" security monitoring system yourself - it will payoff in the long run.

Since being bought out by Telus

Since being bought out by Telus - ADT has gone to the dogs. Waited 5 minutes with the monitoring station to report an alarm. I have heard of wait times up to 45 minutes. Way to go Telus, you screwed up another service company with your ineptitude.

ADT/Telus not calling the RCMP on 1 Alarms

We have had 2 horrible experiences with ADT/Telus. We have had 2 break and enters at my wifes place of business. The first break and enter happened through the front doors of the business; ADT/Telus tried to notify my wife and myself at 4:30 am, however we were both sleeping. The thieves exited through the same set of doors and did not set off a motion sensor which is in the middle of the store; so ADT/Telus did not call the RCMP because they said they do not contact the RCMP unless 2 alarms go off. The RCMP contacted us around 7:15 am, almost 3 hours later because they said a passerby seen the front doors open. I called ADT/Telus later in the day for clarification and they said the case is closed.
On the second break and enter, the thieves entered the business at 5:01 am through the front doors again and looted the business for approx 50 min before the thieves went past the sensor on the way exiting through the back door. ADT/Telus notified the RCMP at 5:55 am, approx 50 min after the first alarm. The RCMP arrived in 5 minutes. The RCMP said if ADT/Telus notified us after the first alarm they might have caught the thieves, and the losses would have been minimal. ADT/Telus told me that they are under no obligation to contact the RCMP unless there are 2 alarms. The RCMP told me that its up to the RCMP to prioritize and act in all commercial break ins and not ADT/Telus, the alarm monitoring company to determine when to call. I have spoken with ADT/Telus Executive Escalations at customer service with no positive outcomes. We have a 2 terrible costly experiences. If your going to use ADT/Telus, get in writing the RCMP will be called after the first alarm if the business owners cannot be reached.

Best System in the Business

From a security and automation perspective, ADT has provided peace of mind and comfort respectively. Service has been outstanding, and the system is top notch. Is been 6-years now and I don't have a single complaint!
