Worth the Wait ?
i've been buying and selling from Adorama for a few month now and my overall impression of them is they're pretty good. I haven't dealt with any of their competitors to compare them to but i've been mostly happy with them. they have a huge selction of gear, their staff seems to know their stuff, I find the chatbot useful because I don't know all the technical stuff. When it comes to trades, they've actually paid me more than first quoted after they inspected it. The gear I got back I'm happy with too. Their grading system seems pretty stringent - what they call well used seems to be in pretty good shape to me. i've been on other sites that show actual pictures and their ratings viz ; condition isn't as high. I bouht a tiny, spy / action / vlogging cam from them and after using it, gave it one star review and they never posted it. I found that odd but maybe not.
A few criticisms would include slow CSR but that's pretty common, they messed up a lens order but fixed it. My main gripe with them is it takes too damn long to get my stuff. Deliveries are SLOW. 2 weeks for ground shipping to CA. Not sure why they can't do what other online retailers do. My latest order placed on Auguat 1st ? Was told coming Friday the 15th ( !? ) now its the 17th and 18th. A camera and lens sent from the same facility in two different shipments arriving on different days makes no damn sense. I've talked to them about it and they have lots of excuses and rationales but doesn't change the fact that others have the same challenges and do it better, faster.
I'll continue to use them because I find them mostly trustworthy but I do plan to patronize other sites and see how other do it.

Adorama does not honor their bundle pricing
Adorama did not include all the items that were supposed to be included in the camera bundle shown on the website. Specifically, they did not ship an SD card and card reader. I contacted them about the omission and they said those items were never part of the bundle. I sent them my purchase order at their request, proving that they were. They then asked for a picture of everything I received, as if the card and reader were somehow there and I didn't see them. Two days later, they came back and said I should ship the entire package back to them for a refund. They want me to ship it all back rather than just sending me the card and reader I paid for, which would probably cost about the same as shipping the camera bundle back to them. Worst customer service I've encountered in a long time...will never order from them again.
