Really decent terms for Car Insurance for a learner driver. Straightforward and no pushy sales, which is appreciated. Takes a long while for calls to be answered -hence the 4 stars rather than 5 - b... See more

A Choice is a leading insurance broker that works with a panel of providers to help motorists get a great deal on their motor insurance.
We are part of the Premium Choice group, established in 1999 and specialise in providing cover for learners, young drivers, van drivers and those with motoring convictions.
As an insurance broker, we do most of the legwork, helping our customers find the right insurance at the right price.
A Choice has always maintained a niche approach to providing motor insurance. When motorists struggle to obtain insurance at a competitive premium from other providers, our knowledge and expertise could help find them a great deal.

If you want an honest review of this insurance company, I'll give you one.
Firstly, I found three things that this company like to do, No.1 is to lie, No.2 is false promises and No.3 is being rude. I had my policy with these guys for 355 days whilst paying an extortionate amount all year, I maintained a high driver score while informing them when I intentionally removed my telematics device (for e.g. OBD readings). Although, due to the telematics box being faulty, I was given a 7 days cancellation notice 17 days before my policy ended.
Unfortunately, I tried to explain to the customer support that I am not intentionally doing this, even asking if an individual selected by A Choice could come down and inspect the device. Although the response given was that I would be put through to the telematics supervisor. ALTHOUGH, the telematics supervisors shift had ended, so to put me through to him me and the operator arranged a time and date for the supervisor to give me a call.
Once again, I had been lied to and told a fake promise because I did not receive the important call. This was stressful, especially where I was in a time period of my insurance being cancelled, for something, once again, that was not my fault.
I then once again made an effort to email the company about the phone call and ask why I did not receive one, and inform them the importance of the situation, which I thought they would already understand.
Surprise, surprise, I did not get an email back.
Finally, I tried to contact them once again on the Saturday as my insurance was going to be cancelled on the Sunday to find out the status of my policy. My intention was that if nothing was going to be done about it, then I would cancel it myself to protect my history and to prevent myself from paying an excessively higher premium in the future. Although, I was once again lied to, which for me, is the most frustrating part about this review.
I was told on my phone call on the Saturday that the telematics supervisor was once again not in to talk to me and that I had to wait until the Monday for a phone call (heard before). I explained to the operator that this was not possible as my insurance was being cancelled the following day, although, the operator made the decision to tell me that my insurance was not getting cancelled on the Sunday because it had not been put through yet. He said I was able to drive on the Monday fully insured and that I would receive a phone call Monday morning about my policy. He also stated that he would put down that the phone call was high urgency and that I would be prioritised that day. Unfortunately I believed him and was once again manipulated into receiving help that was never given.
On Monday, I patiently waited for a phone call from the insurance company, and received nothing. Due to me being at work, I planned on phoning them on my lunchtime and discussing why I never received a phone call. I received an email before my lunch saying my insurance was now cancelled. Absolute joke.
I am now struggling with extortionate prices thanks to this company's manipulative lies and rudeness. This was my first year driving and it was critical for me to get my 1 year NCB, which I could not receive due to my policy getting cancelled 10 days before being eligible.
I'm also confident with all information I have supplied as all calls are recorded (they say) and proof of email and date.
Many Thanks, Archie.
Very helpful staff on the phone, on multiple occasions. Helped me renew my policy and navigate a way to help me afford it with money being tight on the week I was due for renewal.

Accidentally aired them when I had cancellation debt for about 5 months, my bad team.

Really poor administration services. Don’t take out a monthly payment option as they charge you exorbitant fees to cancel at any point. Watch out for those hefty administrative fees of £50 to cancel a policy that was only worth £200 !

There are so many people praising the price and the easy application and yes it is…that’s until something goes wrong or you want to cancel your policy or simply want to speak to them. The way you are spoken to and made to feel is awful. You can never reach them unless they are ringing you demanding money. I thought you should never email or tell someone your bank details over the phone especially to a random number that my phone picks up as a suspected scam call? Maybe that’s me being overly cautious 😂Please be very careful there are far better and cheaper in the long run insurers out there. I fell in the trap of quick, cheap insurance for my daughter before she passed and admittedly saw all the good trustpilot reviews and thought they sounded decent! They are not!! To cancel its £50 all well and good but you have to pay for the whole year on top of this with interest and to stay with them the hike in price is ridiculous! The small print is really unclear!!

only wrote a review on here just about a month ago and they are still the exact same. multiple times i have phoned the collections department and not once has someone picked up the phone but they’re quick enough to send you text messages and emails asking you to pay. this company is a complete waste.
don’t even bother looking at their opening times as the collection teams lines should still be open right now (they close at 6pm) i phoned about 10 minutes ago and came back with an automated message saying the lines were closed, so now i have to waste yet another bit of my time tomorrow morning trying to get through to people who do not care about anything other than money. absolute joke.

Absolutely horrendous service. I cancelled my insurance due to me passing my test, I had a cancellation fee of around £120 so I did the online form entered my bank details and set up a deposit. They called me demanding my bank details I calmly said I dont give my bank details over the phone since the number wasnt a choices offical number lease email me and I'll happily give them. A while later I got an email from a choice admin and filled it out. They approved it and asked what date I wanted the money to be collected. They have now called me 3 times in a week whilst im at work. You cant call the number back as its a one sided call. Absolutely awfull the way they spoke to me and cant even set up a direct debit when they've confirmed my details. I also emailed them asking them to contact me through emails instead, they have ignored every single email since I sent my bank details.
