Today l purchased my used Ford Connect Limited van from the folks in Andover.
Cannot fault the service l received from start to finish. Josh who managed the viewing and the sale was outstanding and totally honest with me. On collection the Connect was presented immaculately and was also fully serviced.
Not easy to please a fuzzy fit like me but these guys knocked it right out the park.
Anyone looking for a used vehicle please check out their stock, you will not be disappointed. Very friendly team down there.
Can only rate them 10 out of 10.

Outstanding !

We hired with a try before you buy with a view of obviously buying from Abacus.

We had an awful experience with another hire company and we were dubious about trying it out again but I have only heard good things about Abacus so we decided to give them a go.

We looked around and found a motorhome that we liked and hired a similar model, we hired it for the weekend and we soon found out that it wouldn’t work for us.

After the hire we went back to look at one we would like to buy, we looked at all of the stock and found one that was absolutely perfect.

And we bought it !

I have to say that the whole team were absolutely fantastic, right from when we hired, all the way through to buying it.

The hire handover was second to none and we had all the information we needed for our weekend away.

What can I say about the team with the handover day.

We had a two hour time slot (it could have been a 10 hour slot and it wouldn’t have been enough).

It was thorough and extensive we had a great afternoon and had a good laugh.

I did have a thought after the handover, what if you could do a video of the process and then you could send it to the purchaser it would be a great reference point.

We love our new motorhome and have been away every weekend since.

Purchased another vehicle from Abacus Vehicle Hire, wonderful people to deal with, would highly recommend this company

Unfortunately we would have given them 5 stars but due to issues we experienced we feel 3 is fair.
They fully admitted to the errors that were caused due to lack of communication with staff and us as the Customer but didn’t really improve our 5 night booking.
Really amazing showroom in Andover and the staff we dealt with Josh and Mae a credit to the Company!
Lessons to be learned and sure they will…..

The staff at Andover were so helpful and very friendly.I needed to change my vehicle due to a warning light coming on. This was done very quickly and efficiently.I would highly recommend Abacus Vehicle Hire.

My motor home had a problem with Ad Blue. I took it to Abacus Motorhomes Ferndown. I have never known service like it. They took the vehicle in and throughly overhauled it, located the problem, fixed it, tested it and handed it back. Holiday saved by real-life heroes — Abacus Car Hire to the rescue!

We found ourselves in a nightmare scenario — having hit a deer at 01:45 on our way to catch the ferry to France, our car was a write-off. Our travel insurance helpfully informed us they’d only cover "onward travel" (not nearly as helpful as it sounds).

To make things worse, every major car hire company we called refused to help — apparently cross-border hires require 72 hours of paperwork, even in emergencies.

Just as panic started to set in, my wife found Abacus Car Hire in Andover on Google. She called and explained the situation, and a true legend named Mark calmly said he’d “see what he could do.”

Within 10 minutes, Mark called back with a solution. They could help — and they’d get the car ready immediately so we could collect it before their 2pm Saturday closing.

On arrival, Mark, Steve and Tony were kind, efficient, and an absolute pleasure to deal with. They made a stressful situation feel manageable and even managed to put smiles on our faces before we hit the road (a little later than planned, but holiday saved!).

The car was immaculate, comfortable, and ran perfectly. The deposit was returned almost immediately — no chasing, no hassle. And when we returned the car at 07:30 on a Sunday morning, Tony was there to greet us with a smile

Abacus didn’t just hire us a car — they genuinely rescued our trip. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

Love this company, over the years hired a very wide range of various vehicles, their help, advice and the most friendliest of people, Jaie, Sophie, Chris, Lisa, Rosie and well absolutely all of them, to be honest means I would say GO NOWHERE ELSE EVER, if you require a hired vehicle. FACT.

I booked on-line to hire a van for two days this week. The instructions were easy to follow. The pick-up was painless and the gentleman was polite and informative regarding my hire. I had made a minor mistake on my booking which was quickly corrected and the Van was ready very quickly. Drop off was easy and speedy. I had left my car at the site and I was confident it was safe for the two days I was away. Payment was simple with the only minor down side was the refund of the deposit taking 3-5 working days. I would still give the company a 5 star review and highly recommend them as a hire company.

The 2 gentlemen on the front desk today were 100% professional and a credit to Abacus. Courteous ,smart and professional.
I will have no hesitation in recommending Abacus, to friends and family .

Hired a car transporter from the team in Ferndown. Super helpful and friendly staff and the car transporter was excellent. Included winch and four straps and the transporter did hundreds of trouble-free miles with good power and excellent handling. Genuinely a great experience and would highly recommend.

What delightful people they are they couldn't be more helpful. James was awesome and the girl there too I didn’t get her name.

I needed a short wheelbase van to pick up a motorbike. I called up the office and few hours later I picked up the van. They gave me a 73 plate Transit with very low miles which was a pleasure to drive (nice and clean).
The staff was very helpful and quick with the paperwork. This was the first time I used Abacus Ferndown but definitely not the last.
Highly recommended.

The very best experience. Always polite . Car always vlean and ready to go . Love using Andover depot. I been hiring a car over the start of summer .. Big thank you to MARK and STEVE for there kindness and hard work .
