I booked my wife’s Audi A5 in for its sixth-year service, which included replacing the spark plugs and carrying out all the necessary service updates. I also mentioned a couple of minor issues we’d noticed and that we were considering selling the car.
The technicians were extremely professional and completed everything to a very high standard. The car now drives like new, and we’ve decided to keep it. We’ll definitely be returning here for future servicing.

First class service from a first class team. Highly recommended.

I used this place to service my pride and joy and they used an external valeting company to collect my car. Not only did they curb my alloy in front of me, after they returned it and left immediately, I found damage to my driver side rear quarter and bumper. They denied causing the damage but this garage reviewed their CCTV and caught the valeting company curbing my wheel but they then decided to defend these morons. After several messages and providing proof the damage was not there before they were in possession of my vehicle, they promised to rectify the issue but have only ignored my responses !! I will never use or recommend this place !! They have no respect of their customers property and the staff joy ride around in peoples prized possessions !!

My car needed a new engine. Called my dealership to help fix it in their garage but they rejected it with no reason. These guys came through for me big time. They did everything they can to try and get a warranty claim accepted and save me money. I'm in the process of buying a house, my job required a lot of driving, these guys looked after me and saving me a couple thousand on my bill. They want the work and will truly go above and beyond for every customer. Big shout out to Mo who I spoke to the most during this process. Big shout out to the entire team. I'd recommend these guys every time!

They’re called A1 for a reason. Everything from start to finish is exemplary in all aspects. Quality workmanship, highly dedicated staff, top class customer service and extremely knowledgeable with it. Prices are the best I’ve known. I’ve been coming here for years and I will continue to do so. My only disappointment is that I wish I’d discovered them earlier than I did. Can’t recommend them highly enough.

I bought a skoda Octavia from the carshop back in May 2024 and within a week it developed an SOS module error. Carshop had it back to resolve the problem at least five times but could not rectify the issue, they then put it in to skoda Cardiff with no success. Skoda Cardiff told the carshop that the error is fixed, however, it wasn’t. After numerous phone calls and emails, they decided to put it into A1 diagnosis with a chap call Rishi. From start to finish, Rishi and his team were fantastic, not only did they rectify the problem but the setup there was amazing, absolutely nothing was a problem, professional at its best, well done Rishi and his team, it was an absolute delight doing business with you and thank you for resolving the issue!

I have been using A1 for years and always had the best service from the whole staff. All the guys are brilliant and always make sure they do their best and look after the customer. Big thanks to Mo and the customer service staff who interact with the customers and are always so polite and helpful

From start to finish, the whole experience was a pleasure. Professional and courteous Mohamed clearly explained the process for the warranty work that I needed to have carried out. He kept in touch throughout the process, advising me on progress and next steps. When the work had been completed, after they had carried out all the necessary tests and checks, I collected the vehicle, and Mohamed walked me through the next steps and importantly the 12 month guarantee on all parts supplied. I can't recommend A1 highly enough, and they will be my preferred choice going forward. Thank you A1, the car is running perfectly.

A few weeks ago, the timing belt broke on my wife’s vehicle, well below the manufacturer’s recommended mileage for replacing it. After numerous emails to the manufacturer, and getting nowhere quickly, we spoke to a number of local garages for advice on our options. The advice was consistent. They suggested a completely new engine, or complete second-hand or reconditioned engine replacement. This we simply could not afford, not after paying out so much for the vehicle, not so long ago. We therefore, did some research on engine specialists, and eventually contacted A1 Diagnostics, Independent Vehicle Specialist, in Cardiff.

I had an initial telephone conversation with a pleasant young gentleman called Mohammed. I explained the situation and informed him that due to our personal circumstances, we needed the vehicle back on the road as soon as possible.

Mohammed assured me he’d do his best to find a convenient slot and would contact me by the end of the day. True to his word, that he did and our vehicle was in with them within the next couple of days. I felt confident that our vehicle was in the right place and with the right people.

Mohammed assured me that they would assess the vehicle and inform me of the cost, prior to carrying out any work. Once more, true to his word, he did. He informed us that a new or replacement engine was not required, but a number of parts needed replacing due to the damage caused by the breaking of the timing belt and that the job was obviously, labour intensive.

From initial telephone conversation through and up to receiving the vehicle back, was straightforward and took just a few days. The invoice was to the penny as quoted, the vehicle had been valeted at no additional cost and all parts and labour given a full 12 month warranty, for additional peace of mind.

I cannot fault the first class service that was offered by A1 Diagnostics.
A1 by name and most certainly, A1 by nature. Absolutely fantastic.

And as for Mohammed, you are an absolute star and a credit to the company, as are your colleagues, I’m sure. Keeping us informed through each and every step of the process, from initial telephone call, right through to receiving the vehicle back. We are extremely grateful for the service you’ve provided and can’t thank you enough.

Very professional and excellent customer service.

I had never used this garage before but I chose them based on reviews and them also being a Jaguar specialists garage. Mo was my point of contact and he was excellent. He kept me informed and dealt directly with the warranty firm. They repaired numerous faults and saved me from an expensive bill. I will definitely be using them again and I would highly recommend them. Great team.

Took my BMW there after recommendation from my son, the ambience lights were not working, spoke to Mo and he recognised the fault straightaway, he ordered the parts from BMW, kept me in the loop as there was a delay of the parts coming from Germany, phoned me when the parts arrived and booked the car in within a couple of days, dropped the car off in the morning and it was all done by midday, they even washed the car. From start to finish Mo went the extra mile with his friendly manner and professional touch, would highly recommend A1 to my family & friend's

One stop shop .., all your car needs

I contacted A1-Diagnostics to have my car calibrated with ADAS. I spoke to a guy (Ian) He couldn't help me with my calibration but that didn't stop him, he asked why I thought I needed my car calibrated. We chatted about setting and other related stuff. The advice he has given me has been most helpful, He offered more advice if needed. Great guy.

Over tightened all the wheel nuts on my BMW, resulting in shearing off of locking wheel nuts when tyres replaced shortly after. Costly and very inconvenient repair.
Having been contacted and discussed the issue with A1, it appears that the blame is NOT with them as they did not remove the wheels to perform the work carried out. On that basis I’ve amended the review.

Took my car in for a service to A1 diagnostics, excellent service provided by the staff and mechanic who took care of my car. Very reasonable prices and excellent service as expected. Well done to the everyone at A1 diagnostic keep up the good work. 👍

Took my vehicle to this garage following a recommendation from a work colleague and received first class treatment from the initial telephone call to collection.
Will definitely be recommending to family and friends.

First time to write a review but I felt I would like to mention how fast professional and great customer service I had today ,
Took my car in for service and engine control management light on they started with good morning offered. Coffee, not just service for the car they offered to take me to work , they called me after 6 hours to say my car is ready .
I was still at work they asked me what time do I finish and they delivered the car to my work place .
What a service thank you very much
