Sorry Trustpilot you have backed this…

Sorry Trustpilot you have backed this brokerage. There are now more victims of this company. Now I can't log into them My bank has given up saying that they were a scam. Wake up to these so called scam companies. I don't care that you find my proof is not enough. They have my money and now continue to do it to others. My honesty run rings around their dishonest treatment and honesty. Sort it!
Yes this company is still playing games with my finances, I am in need of my cash as they were on my back by phone asking for more and more. I have a photo of all the withdrawal they have cancelled. The contact at 500 investments is above anything from my bank ASIC, ACCC, Cybercrime. They have put this in the two hard basket. The company made it difficult to contact them changing their internet address from a .com to a .net.

Scam Scam Scam

My mother invested tens of thousands over a 5 month period, when she went to withdraw, she was told to pay a 26% fine for withdrawing it before the end of the month. She patiently waited to the end of the month and nothing arrived. They continue to call her trying to get her to "Invest" more. The calls became extremely rude and forceful when it was clear to them she would not invest more. Once she requested the withdrawal her funds dropped steadily back to $0. It is now a police matter. The so called trading website is just a "video game", they don't invest your money they steal it. Any positive reviews are written by the scammers themselves. They will find themselves in jail soon!

Hi all be careful

Hi all
If you are new to investments do not part with any more money until you are sure you know how it all works.
Once they have your money it all goes wrong 1 lost 5000 pounds nearly in a few weeks, Spencer reed was assigned to me. very nice while you are paying money in but that soon changes when you say no. Its up to you but be careful unless you can afford to lose your money. This is a warning.

Dear George,

There must be a mistake in here.
You didn't invest 5000 GBP with us, you are mixing with another company for sure.
We have no Spencer Reed in the company as well.

We kindly ask you to remove this review because it's a wrong one or not related to us.
You never invested 5K GBP here and we urge you to check it out with your records.

Very sceptical about this company

Very sceptical about this company, have invested a lot of money with them before I found out they were unregulated.
I have tried to withdraw money and they wanted money to liquidate my capital but all that happened was they put more trades on and they were bad trades that have bound my equity up again .
Such a shame that they are unscrupulous because there was a lot of money to be made,
Hard working honest people trying to get along in life with a few investments but now are uncertain about the future.
Shame on this company!!!!
Have gone with lawyers now to try and retrieve my money but still holding out little hope .

I'm a poor man and now I'm even poorer

I'm a poor man and now I'm even poorer. I didn't invest a lot but it was 'all I had'. My Investment Manager seemed more interested in my bank balance and whether I had any more money or an ISA. When he discovered that I really didn't have any more money he rang off stating he'd phone the following day. He also instructed me to do nothing with my account. 24 hours later and without a return phone call my account was automatically closed because it had insufficient funds. That's right! Money gone. Giving these people one star is infinitely too many. Minus a google would be more appropriate.

Investment Scam

Unfortunately I have invested a large part of my savings with this investment platform. It appears to go well for a few weeks, the portfolio appears profitable and they call and talk you through a lot of their processes and invite you to webinars which appear very professional. The presenter trots out the same info each time. When you push for a withdrawal, they say we will arrange $1000 to test that it arrives safely. You find that a backdated amount appears on your credit card which is obviously built in when you first register. Now when you request a larger amount to test their good faith they pretend to be so upset that you are not trusting them. I requested $5000 which was still a relatively small amount. Email today saying withdrawal cancelled due to trading activity. I logged on to account to find balance is greatly reduced and they are now trading on it irresponsibly and generating lots of negative trades.
I accept that I have lost my money as I have no redress to FCA.
I would surmise that any positive reviews are bogus.
Please do not trust them they are glib and well rehearsed sales/conmen.
If this review stops one person committing to them then I would be very glad.

The simple truth: your money is already lost

A day in the life of a 500Investments Client:
-------------------------------------------------
Refusing to release funds | Aggressive tactics | Making unauthorised trades |making misleading statements | cancelling withdrawal requests without notice |lack of communication | accessing accounts and changing passwords without authorisation

Here is what does the FCA say about 500 investments?
——————————————————————————
“We believe this firm has been providing financial services or products in the UK without our authorisation".

This information is easy to look up and verify on google or on the FCA website….

Introduction:
---------------
To begin, myself and my partner invested an initial $250 with a guy called Dan Sterling. A low-level investment seemed like a logical approach before investing in something I was new to. I was promised that they could increase my funds within a few days. Carrot and stick moment.

Moving forward:
------------------
They initially increased my investment by a small amount, but then gave me a whole speech about requiring more money to see a bigger return.I understand it’s a marketplace and decided to invest another $1500. 500 Investments will offer to match your investment, to ensure you don’t loose any money. This is how they lead you into a false sense of security. They don’t match anything, they just say it to get your money. This is the moment your money is lost……. Once you transfer any money under these false pretences; its gone… all their excuses won’t hide the fact, they have mislead you into a false sense of security.

Unauthorised Trades:
-------------------------
A staff member of 500Investments called without my permission, changed my password and started making unauthorised trades. I hadn’t even signed their form to start authorising them to touch my funds, but it doesn’t matter to them. The moment they have your money, its lost……

I have been waiting over 2 months now for a refund they said would take 5 days….

So to summarise:
---------------------
- They will ask for something small
- They will then offer to match any large amount you put in to ensure you don’t loose anything (the carrot)
- This is the lie that gets you to invest under false pretences
- They then access your account without permission and make trades without authorisation.
- They lie to you
- They cancel any refund requests you put in
- They basically run off your money

If you are reading this. The chances are, your money is already gone… you will just go around in circles with getting nowhere. False claim after false claim.

I have funds in my account, and they keep cancelling my withdrawal requests. A dishonest company.

They aren’t even authorised by the FCA……. Do you want to take the chance?

Verifying reviews: Please note that I am sending my email communications to Trustpilot so they can verify my review to counter the kind of responses I can see that they provide to other reviewers. Please also note the tone of their responses to other reviews and how they talk to people.

All I can say is, my view, based from my own experience is that 500Investments are running off people’s money.

Read the other reviews and listen to the tone of their responses...make up your own mind whether they sound like a company you can trust....

-------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE: 05/11/20
----------------------
Day 1 of posting this review, I have been asked for my bank details to process a refund. they claims it will be with me in 24 hours of sending the email back to him.... i will update this review accordingly.

Trustpilot issue:
------------------
i have had to repost this review as Trustpilot took it down for using words it doesnt like.... nothing obscene just general words for misleading actions.... Trustpilot doesnt want to be sued i guess... This is ok :)

ADAM LUCA

I decided to start a investment portfolio through 500 Investments without doing any research on the company itself, Bad mistake. Initially in invested $500 USD with Adam Luca. At first it was all positive with Webinars etc so after a bit of coxting from Adam decided to invest $10k USD. That's when it all started to go down hill. I noticed the webinars were copies from the previous week then I did some research on the company and realized I'd messed up. I then asked for some funds to be returned and then Adams attitude turned ugly and pretty much started losing contact. I would say I would have emailed 90-120 times requesting to close my account etc. So many other people were involved each time I emailed, to many to name but ultimately they all said it was Adams call. At one point my account showed $14,500 USD and then after requesting refund overnight went down to $8000 then to Zero. All my requests showed on my account even the $50 USD refunds were rejected. I now believe any positive reviews for this company are written by Employees or Associates of 500 Investments. Stay away they use your money to trade to line there own pockets then take that as well. SCAM all over. That's my story.

Have been using this platform for 18 months now. Love the platform. Tight spreads, feature rich and reliable. Only had one issue in 18 months when platform became unresponsive whilst trying to close a trade.

Invest little then they want more....

Invest little then they want more....

Its a shame, in principle this could be a great way to learn about trading. However the reality is they want large amounts of money to invest to maximise the potential - Its not advertised like this!
I input the minimal invest amount and my account manager doubled it in a week, but then started talking about 5k 10k and 25k further to invest! I made it clear that this was not something I had to do right now, which I why I invested the min. Whilst he said he understood I would imagine they are under immense pressure to obtain more revenue. So whilst my account had doubled it appears I am not locked out of the account and cannot reset my passwords it just never works. I will contact support but do not expect a response apart from probably asking to invest more! If thats the case I will record the message to share my experience on here. I think if you have ££££$$$$ to invest then its probably a good system. But for me whom wanted to invest minimal then not!

Don’t ever invest anything in 500…

Don’t ever invest anything in 500 investment. These people are scammers. I invested 1250 usd dollars they charge me 30 pounds for change of currency to the US dollars from pound. The same thing happened as stated in other reviews, the broker Raphael David tried to pressure me to invest more and when I tried to withdraw cash and close the account, the broker said it would take maximally 2-3 days to close the account and the money should be in my account but it never arrived. He told me that the finance team will deal with it but I doubt their finance team even exists.
Initially they tried to act nice to make promise to reimburse the transfer fees from change if currency but after they know I intend to close my account. No response. I really find those reviews stating good customer service very ironic and hard to believe. I am guessing they are making lots of fake reviews here on trust pilot to lure more people in.
Some people here have eventually got their money back after months and lord helps to have my money back but seriously i don’t know if it will actually happen as they are extremely unregulated.
