Good product good support.
I wanted to save time in the planning stages of a bungalow remodeling project. Architects etc were expensive so I purchased Eleco's EVO package. It did the job although I did need some guidance from the support people. They never failed me.

Continually crashes, very slow, very frustrating
Having just forked out a not insignificant amount of money for this software I would expect it to, at a very minimum, remain open while I work on it. Sadly it doesn't like remaining open and instead decides to continually shut itself down, whenever it feels like it. In one spectacular crash it then wouldn't open up again at all and needed a laptop restart to continue the fun. I noticed the version is 1.01, copyright 2015, which pretty much means it's had no development on it since it was released 5 years ago. Wish I could get my money back.

I have had Arcon EVo for some time now…
I have had Arcon EVo for some time now and have recently bought the conservatory software to supplement it. In this time I have done a couple of planning applications. I looked at several other planning software programs decided upon this one. I'm glad I did. Not only is the software fantastic but also the support is brilliant. You won't go wrong with this software and all I can say is buy it!

Upgraded to Evo and found it easy to use
Had a problem with the lower priced version but was offered a free upgrade to Evo which has worked fine. It was my first time using this sort of software but was easy to master with the guides quite good for the basics. Completed a full set of plans on a 3 story house with complicated roof in under a day.

After trying two other competitor products...
After trying two other competitor products for almost a year, I purchased Arcon Evo. In addition to the outstanding quality of service and support I've received, the software has proven to be head and shoulders above anything else I've tried - and for a lower price tag.
I can now design what I want - in a simple, efficient and logical way. Moreover, I feel confident in submitting the Arcon Evo drawings for approval by the relevant building authorities.
I give Arcon Evo my highest recommendation!

Amazing value for money software…
Since the mid 1980's I have used most of the high end Archtectural software packages, including Autocad, Revit,Microstation and Datacad. I purchased 3Darchitect about two weeks ago and have spent several days getting to know the interface. I find it similar in manyrespects to Revit, much easier to use, and considering the price difference it is nothing short of reemarkable. I have yet to explore the rendering capabilities, but based on my experiance to date, I would recomend it to anyone. To those without a CAD background it will require patience but it will be worthwhile, as it is a very capable and powerful tool.

Arcon 3D Architect Home Designer
Arcon 3D Architect Home Designer
I started using the predecessor to 3D Designer two decades ago! Over the years I've migrated my projects through to this latest incarnation and have found it invaluable for both simple room renovation ideas to complex house extensions. Self builders can even use it to design complete homes.
There's an excellent range of furnishing and decorative objects. The ability to show projects in 3D with rotate, zoom, and walkthrough functions is especially useful to give clients an instant view of their ideas.
Finalised projects can be output to a standard acceptable to planning departments.

On the surface this is a good program
On the surface this is a good program, however, it is extremely frustrating to use. There are basic things that do not work as advertised, for example loading objects from the 3d warehouse. The program often bombs out and hopefully you have not lost much. Editing items can cause the display to hide the items. You can selected a group of hidden items but individually. What a waste of money.

No customer service
I bought the home designer pro version as it suggested it was easy to use and would do everything I wanted.
I'm work drawings, take off software and excel daily but couldn't get to grips with this programme. Really don't have enough time to fool around with it.
I noticed on their website they offer a full day or half days training for the software st their office. I've been ringing and emailing since December 2018 to book this and still have had no reply!
Shocking customer service that has left me software I cannot use.
If I can do it, you can do it! I'm very happy I purchased this
I've been trying to build and design a house for over 6 years. I hired an architect to do some brainstorming, but it did cost a fair bit and at the end, the communications were too slow. I decided to shop around and try doing it myself. I first looked at Autodesk, however soon realised there is actually home design software packages out there for people like me. .
I narrowed my search down to ChiefArchitect and 3D Architect Pro.
At the end, I decided to go with 3D Architect pro. as it has a lot of British library and designs, and the guy at support was very helpful answering my presale questions. I have now designed over 10 versions of my dream home, and will be hiring an Architect soon to double check things. Probably the best thing I have ever done in my senior years! THANK YOU SO MUCH
After reading great reviews on there…
After reading great reviews on there website , I decided to purchase there Home designer Pro Version .
How disappointing and complete waste of money .
I currently use a CAD package from Winner on a daily basis for designing kitchens so have a little CAD knowledge .
The Elecosoft software is aimed at little or no CAD experience even saying how it so intuitive that children can use it . I have found extremely unusable and after many hours finally had to admit defeat that I will never be able to draw the plans for my extension using it .
Please only purchase if you will attend there chargeable training course which you will require .
Not to mention the constant crashing and shutting down .
