These glasses are a great shape and I love the look of them. I've now gone through 5 pairs of them and every single one of them has broken around the bottom of the frame and the lenses pop out. This is really dangerous especially since I have quite poor vision and they've done this while I've been driving. I don't wear these in bed or when I am lying down and they are not heavily worn so I am really disappointed that they break within months of me buying them. I would not recommend anyone with poor vision to buy these.

This is a honest and unbiased review.
The glasses I ordered arrived as promised, packed and shipped with care. The quality is “okay” for the price I payed. The fit is comfortable enough for their use (driving), though I couldn’t recommend wearing them throughout the entire day. The lens seems to be durable, but I do see some minor distortion on the outer edges. I ordered these to see how this prescription would fit my needs before I will order a better quality of frames. I found a comfortable frame at a local retailer thats available in rx which includes nice clip on shades and was hoping 39DG could offer me similar, but after speaking with the representative at 39DG, they did not offer that particular type or similar. The representative was helpful and attentive. She also was able to give me my discount that did not show up when I checked-out on line. Overall, I would recommend 39DG for a second option or spare pair if needed. They may offer a better quality frame at a higher price, but I did not choose that option at this time.

This was my 3rd order with 39 dollar glasses.com. This last order was for progressive and transitions lenses.......beautiful job and frame is nice and sturdy. Received the glasses within 1 week. I am a customer for life! Cannot beat their prices!

I'm blown away by the style and the fact I had these in my hands in a little over one week! I will absolutely purchase more glasses in the future.

I sent them a NOS vintage gucci wire rim frame to have lenses fitted and it is without a doubt the worst job I have ever seen. One of the lenses doesn't fit correctly, it was cut incorrectly so that there are air gaps between the lens and the rim, so it probably isn't even safe. The compound curves of the edges of the lenses are cut very crudely and poorly polished, so even though I paid for the high index 1.74 lens, it's more visible/noticeable than a thicker lens that was polished correctly. The frame which fit me perfectly when I sent it to them was seriously bent when it was returned to me. The metal around the poorly fitting lens is deformed and has tool marks on it as if it was stepped on and someone tried to straighten it and didn't quite succeed because the high point on the edge of the lens isn't located within the center ridge of the wire frame for about 30% of its length. One of the screws - that was new/pristine is buggered up as if too large of a screw driver was used to tighten it. I've been ordering frames and lenses online for 20 years and never had an issue before. This was absolutely amateurish work. I will have to pay a local optician to see if they can correct some of this mess. I really regret entrusting them with a irreplaceable vintage frame. I won't use this company ever again and I recommend you don't either. It's a false sense of economy when the result is this poor and probably unsafe and you end up having to pay someone else to try to correct the error. I would give zero stars if I could. Never again.

UPDATE(8/23/24)
Was told yesterday they would be ready and shipped 2 day express. Called today and was told they have no record of this and still don't have the glasses yet so no chance of getting them in time. Cancelled the order and they said they will provide a full refund.(Changed from 1 to 2 stars (same outcome but expect to at least get a refund).

Ordered sunglasses 12 days ago for a trip (20 days before I planned to leave)-still no response or updates on the status. (assumed 20 days would be enough time) It says 2-7 business days but some may take 1-4 extra on their website so they are already beyond the absolute max time quoted. Called today and they said they had an issue doing the tint so will remake. Asked when they will do this and they could not tell me. Asked if they could do express shipping once finished because i need them in a week and they cannot do that either. Said the lens maker will try to prioritize them but that's all. Friendly rep on the phone but no solution. My first experience with this company is not good. To be fair I will update and post my review on this site and others once I know in a week.

I found 39DG when searching about progressive lens issue, and looking for a solution. I found 39DG could solve my issue. Placed my order, which was so simple. Received my glasses within 2 weeks of ordering.

The glasses are simply the best I have ever had. In 40 years of needing them. I can see clearly. Both up close and far, even on the computer.

I am already looking at buying sunglasses. I am referring everyone I know. I will never buy from anyone else again.

the online assistant seemed kind of snooty in there reply to some of my questions. Other than that the process was painless. I do wish the frames i purchased were a bit smaller, they seamed much larger that I expected. They work for what I need, Ill settle for the price, as I only wear them at my desk at work.

Good glasses except one of the arms are loose and the other is stiff. Wish they where both stiff.

I usually have to wait to get an Appt worth the VA and then wait a while to get the glasses. This time I went and paid out of pocket for the exam. Your site is so easy to find on Google. No waiting, just picked out my 2 pairs of glasses from all the amazing choices. Entered in my Rx and paid. My glasses were here in no time. They fit perfect, great quality frames, and can see finally!!

I've ordered multiple pairs of glasses from 39DollarGlasses and have been very satisfied in the quality, timeliness, and ease at which orders are put in and delivered. I'm docking a point because my latest purchase of the Oxygen (matte-black/aqua green) had a flaw in the frames in that they were uneven. Not so much that they cannot be worn, but they do look lopsided when I wear them. That's a small price to pay as they're still sleek and comfortanble to wear. Overall, still very satisfied with the product and the company!

Worst company to work with my glasses got lost I called them they said they would replace them. I waited three weeks. Call them back. The lady literally laughed at me. She didn’t offer to send me the two pair that were ready since they were still waiting on one of the pairs I’ve been waiting since June for these glasses for my autistic son. She laughed at me and I’ve used their company several times. It’s not the glasses it’s the people that work for them. They don’t care. It’s just a job I would never order from them again I used to separate companies  I got my glasses in nine days and they’re just as cute. I would never use this company buyer beware.
