I provided a farm and was host for…some time until i had to deal with wwoof management
I provided a farm to work and stay on and was a host for wwoof Australia .,I made the mistake of not screening a person wanting to stay and work on my farm adequatly They seemed to have no real desire to contribute to farm life or work and had no apreciation for animals they complained to wwoof staff i didnt provide them with hotel like accommodation ,wwoof staff Tamsen were biased and rude toward me i would not reccomend anyone give this organisation money .At one time they used to be a resonable organisation but now more concerned with commercial merchandice and a bias against farmers trying to provide a positive farm experianced i experianced wwoof management to be biased & abusive and would warn others not to deal with this organisation The most deceiving aspect of wwoof is perhaps 80% of profiles of wwoofers are outdated and not even in Australia anymore so its wasting hosts time and money
Poor attitude of staff at wwoof
The organization is very poor ,the senior staff at wwoof Australia they treat you with disrespect and speak down to you like you are a naughty child. If their delusions of grandeur were not so amusing then it could be insulting. They live in a fairytail world of Utopian bliss , under the mistaken impression that they can dictate their wants and wishes upon you. An example the bathroom is too small, the floor looks dirty. Then they write I do hope that I will see improvements in the future, as if they had been there themselves and it was an AIr BNB they are reviewing.
They side with the wwoofer and not the host. Avoid at all costs as the wwoofers are not reliable and often do not show up when they have booked in.
Wwoof group Traci Wilson-Brown and…
Wwoof group Traci Wilson-Brown and Lynette Vint had a complaint from a wwoofer and without hearing my side of the story persecuted me. There was no consultation or conflict resolution on my side
Just the paying customers side and untruths was only listened to
Wwoof Australia is an amazing…
Wwoof Australia is an amazing organisation. We have been hosts for eight years and have hosted some wonderful people from all over the world.
We love our workers. They work really hard here and we try to make sure they have great meals, fair treatment and happy, fulfilling experiences. We have great feedback and have made lifelong friends. A very happy and rewarding experience.
We highly recommend Wwoof Australia to our workers who come to us from other organisations as the support is so good. We had one worker some years ago who had been through a dreadful experience with an alternative organisation And found no telephone support and over a week to get an email reply. Even then the support and investigation was minimal.
However, should a host or Wwoofer step outside the bounds of fair or decent behaviour both parties can call a dedicated number and report the incident or behaviour. Wwoof will then investigate both sides and decide if the offending party is in breech of the Wwoof agreement (as agreed on joining). Anyone that is in breech may be removed from the site and a warning is added to the site If they continue to approach other workers or hosts.
Any serious breech by a Wwoofer may be reported to the police or border control agencies. Where Wwoof hosts break the rules they risk being removed and any breech of Australian law will be reported to the relevant authorities.
Sadly the visa system is far from perfect and some individuals are admitted to the country who are later removed. This may lead to them targeting the organisation that reported them rather than dealing with the issues that led to their removal.
AVOID!!!
This organisation is extremely unprofessional. I worked as a wwoofer and a host tried to exploit and abuse me, which I reported to them and they did not even react to my notification. It appears that none of the hosts are vetted, so needless to say there are many that do not abide by the rules and exploit foreign travelers. Wwoof does not care, because if they did, they would not get the membership fees from the hosts anymore.
On top of that I have heard that they discredit the actual wwoofers - libel and slander comes to mind - and disclose their personal information when a wwoofer complains about this organisation.
My impression is that they are very unprofessional and that website is run by a crook, who just wants to collect membership fees.
