No refund poor customer service
I bought a knife mid August, but it was the wrong size, subsequently I submitted a return following their return process it was send via the post office tracked and was received by Wustof. I have emailed them 3 times and they claim they have not received it now I am out £140 and still haven't heard from them. A company that makes an outstanding product is let down by deplorable customer service.
Lifetime guarantee
Received a knife block set for a wedding present 16 years ago. The handle broke on the Santoku knife from the set and I emailed customer service with photos. I filled in the warranty form with the little information I knew and they said a replacement knife would be on its way in a few days. Amazing service that shows how much they stand by their product.
Lifetime Warranty Honoured
I had a Wusthof Culinar knife given to me as a present many years ago and it recently broke at the handle. Wusthof Customer Services asked for some photos etc then agreed to send a completely new knife as the Culinar range is no longer made. Not only that, but they agreed to send a wider knife than the standard with no problems.
I've always said that a company is only as good as how it acts when things go wrong, and on this occasion Wusthof could not have done any better. Thankyou...
Lifetime guarantee
At least 10 years ago, I bought a collection of Wusthof knives that have served me very well. Unfortunately, recently one of the knifes fell to the ground and broke in two. I informed Wusthoff about this who responded almost immediately. Even though the knife was bought in Europe, the lifetime guarantee was honored in South America where I now live and the knife was replaced. Very impressive!
Don’t think I’ll ever get to enjoy the knife I’ve ordered
I ordered the Craftsman knife on June 27th and it’s now July 8th and there’s been no movement on delivery. Account just states “unfulfilled”.
I’ve tried contacting Wustof UK with no reponse at all. I then tried Wustof US who kindly replied to say there was a problem with the order and it would be dispatched last week which didn’t happen.
You’re better off order a Zwilling or WMF Spitzenklasse Knife as they’re essentially the same quality, steel and relative Rockwell hardness rating and have a far superior customer service.
I’ll now have to raise a dispute with PayPal to get my money back. This company doesn’t care about or have invested interest in it’s European customer base. How do you think that’s going to work out if there’s an issue with your knife and the warranty?
I bought a Wustof Ikon Santuko from Amazon and there was an issue with the QC. Thankfully buying it from Amazon the issue was resolved instantly.
Hope this review helps someone avoid the countless potential problems with this company’s customer service within Europe. I really would like to invest in multiple Wustof knives but just can’t deal with this level of poor customer service!
I expected much better from customer services
I have used Wusthof products for a number of years. I bought them because my family have always been keen amateur cooks and grew up watching my mum as a chef prepare and cook some amazing dishes and used Wusthof knives. I spent £1340 on x7 ikon classics knives, x1 pair of scissors and a Wusthof knife block. Within 3 months the finger guard on the 26cm sharpening steel started to spin because it was loose. It’s really annoying when your using it so I’ve gone back to an older one I had spare but it’s not very good. I contacted Wusthof and was told to post it to Germany at my costs and they would take a look but they were very defensive and hinted I had maybe dropped it. I was also told i would be charged if they found the problem was user error ! I asked if they could be any ruder and more abrupt to customers who stayed loyal to the brand and the conversation conveniently ended. Still waiting for an email reply 2 months later. Sad to see them treat customers like this and I honestly expected more from Wusthof.
The most excellent service.
The most excellent service.
I wrote to Wüsthof asking for buying a new handle with rivet, so I could repair my old knife, older than 5 years.
Unfortunately I could not buy a new handle, but I got a new knife.
On a scale from 1 to 10, I put this excellent service to 12.
Super service.
the very best regards

After writing a poor trust pilot…
After writing a poor trust pilot Wusthof reached out to me to arrange replacement knives - I have eight knives that the handles have failed. Bastien from Wusthof said he had requested replacements be sent. However they sent ONE knife and have not responded to my questions on when the rest will be sent. It is such bad customer service I am surprised they are still in business. I cannot continue with such poor customer experiences
"LIFETIME" WARRANTY NULL AND VOID
I was a lifelong supporter of this company and these knives....until I had a problem with one of the knives and tried to make them honor their "lifetime" warranty. I honestly expected to have no problem whatsoever. It was a $1000 set of knives after all. I was wrong. After MONTHS of back and forth, I gave up. They gave me multiple stories, a lot of back and forth, a lot a blame and finger pointing, etc. In the end, I didn't trust them enough to handle the problem, and I bought another brand of professional chef's knives.
Defective new breadknife
Defective new breadknife. They say lifetime guarantee. Good luck enacting that. at £165, may well be worth taking to small claims court I think
Dreadful service - they don't respond
If you buy their knives and they go wrong you might as well throw them in the bin. Writing to them and explaining a fault gets no response After three week and two more emails - nothing. These knife are supposed to be some of the best. Well they break and then Wusthof ignore you. Don't buy these
Poor customer service
Ordered online in November and the knife arrived but the blade and the handle were both scratched. Emailed customer services but no reply as of yet, three weeks waiting for a response. Very disappointing. Would not recommend.
10 year old knife developed a problem…
10 year old knife developed a problem with the handle. They replaced it with no quibbles. Newer version has much better handle but still has exactly the same great shape. Good quality knives with customer service to match.
Wusthof knife
Had a problem with a knife, it fell off the work top and snapped in half, the knife was 2 years old but I was surprised it broke,
I contacted Wusthof ltd the knife company and they were very helpful, after sending all the details they requested they sent me a new knife.
Excellent customer service
A class act of customer support
10 years after I purchased an 8" classic kitchen knife, the handle on both sides cracked. I messaged Wusthof customer support noting where I had purchased the knife but adding I had not kept the receipt. I asked them whether I could send the knife to them for repair. No quibbling, the company sent me a new one! I was very pleasantly surprised since I always admire a company that stands behind their products. It's only a pity so many here have not had a positive experience with the company. I do hope the company will extend the good customer support I received to all of us that purchase their premium products.
Do not buy a Wusthof knife
Do not buy a Wusthof knife. I was bought one for my birthday a year ago and the blade split. Could only have been a manufacturing fault. Very confusing websites when trying to claim on warrenty, you don't get any acknowledgement when filling a report or email. They did replace the knife but with a much cheaper model, I couldn't believe it. Appalling customer service, Given these things cost over £150, better off at N&S or Ikea
Really terrible Europe customer service
Really terrible Europe customer service
All my new knifes looks diffrent logos, engravings etc so i asked why.
USA support gave me some information and derected me to Europe support if i had more questions.
Since the USA support didint answer my questions fully i turned to Europe support and they just told me my problem alredy was dealt with and i need to accept it.
Do not but this brand, you do not know how the knifes looks before you have them at home and the support just tell you to suck it.
Really terrible customer service
Really terrible customer service. Knife sheared on the tip when cutting a sweet potato. Customer services really bad and said not jagged so wear and tear. I’ve had the knife a year! Will never buy or recommend them again. Cost me over £100!
OK what am I missing here?
OK what am I missing here?? I bought 6 IKON knives at hundreds of dollars thinking they would be great steak knives and expecting them to cut thru steak etc, like butter. Well not only do they not do that but are useless in trying to use when cutting/slicing most anything. I've bought knives at Target that are much sharper and work better. Extremely disappointed and frustrated. I don't use them for much of anything.
Customer service
We had a knife for a number of years the handle broke and can not be replace. After contacting Wustof and explaining the issue the knife was replaced. This is the best customer service I have ever experienced and I'm nearly 50. I will never buy a different brand.
