A terrible experience

When we moved in to a new apartment, the apartment didn't have heating working, no light connection in the bathroom, the apartment was handed dirty, without decent bed clothes and a broken mattress that hurt our backs to sleep in. In the advertisement, the apartment had a big fridge and decoration. When we got inside, the fridge was a mini fridge, not the same as in the pictures, and the house had no decoration. The landlord took our 2400€ caution and didn't refund it, and Wunderflats refused to help, avoiding all responsability. Wunderflats didn't even refund the 299€ fee they charge. Not trustworthy, avoid this website at all costs. 299€ fee for zero support.

Since we can see you are currently staying in another apartment through our platform, we truly hope your current experience is much more comfortable. Regarding your concerns, we would like to clarify a few points:

When issues with heating or apartment equipment arise, the legal procedure requires informing the landlord directly and allowing them a reasonable amount of time to fix the defects. While we are here to help mediate, the responsibility for the property's condition lies with the owner.

As for the security deposit, please keep in mind that under German law, landlords are entitled to hold the "Kaution" for up to six months after the end of the contract to settle final utility costs or potential damages.

Lastly, the service fee you mentioned is what allows us to keep the platform running, verify listings, and provide support throughout your search and booking process. It is a one-time fee for our mediation services rather than a maintenance or insurance fee.

Responsive, very good communication

I found an apartment in Berlin with the help of Steffen Wengert from Wunderflats. Steffen was very responsive, answered all my questions. The way of communicating with him was also convenient- via Whatsapp. So far, I’ve been enjoying my experience!

Service Fee and Interface

When I was searching the apartment in Germany, "Wohnungsgeberbestatigung" authorize was most important thing for me. Wunderflats homes especially have this.
