It is a disgusting site

It is a disgusting site. They don't allow any guide books not even recipe books. Yet I don't know how some people have uploaded recipe books on their site and managed to get through with it. I wrote a spiritual book on God that too they rejected it n blocked it. I wasted my time uploading 10 books on their site. Out of that all 6 were rejected and the ones that are on display I got 0 sales from it. It's a horrible site not worth the time and effort taken.

Book removed for no reason

I had published a textbook with Kobo Writing Life. Out of nowhere, after the text had been published with them, I got an email saying they took my book down. They did not provide a specific reason. When I reviewed the documents they sent me, none of the reasons applied to my book. I emailed back for clarification and Ayana rudely replied with this:
Your book has been rejected from publication, as per SECTION 2 of the Kobo Writing Life Terms of Service:

(i) Kobo may at any time accept, reject, suspend or remove any Works that you have provided at its sole discretion, for any reason or no reason.

They had no reason but they just took it down. When I asked them to review their decision because I had not violated their TOS, I got no response. I will happily take my business elsewhere. I'm selling more on other platforms. I will never do business with them again. Terrible business practices and rude support.

Awful experience

Awful experience. Be certain this is what you want, and not be stuck in their system because they refuse to delete your account. I delisted my book, then asked for my account to be deleted. They refuse to allow you to delete your account - the most you can do is deactivate it. Be warned.
