You’re promised a lot at the beginning and you pay the $49 fee and then nothing. Old indeed postings or postings that you need a certain degree in or work in a certain area.
Also customer service HORRIBLE. they are only available 10am-1pm??? Nobody ever responds I’ve been waiting 3 days for a refund and I keep getting the go around. Not happy

It's a scam, it doesn't work and they charge you more than they state on their website.

When I subscribed to them, I was eager to get my start in freelance writing. This site, however does not seem legit. I have had to write these people numerous times to cancel my membership because I cannot access their site(even after going to the suggested web browser). I have contacted them over and over and the only time someone responded it was like “you sure you want to do that? You’re gettting a great deal!” If I thought I was getting a good deal, I wouldn’t be trying to cancel now would I? Absolute waste. These people are con artists and are looking to scam people. If you want to get your work out there, do it for free on all these other platforms. Don’t waste your time with greedy people who make a living out of conning others.

Please do your "due diligence" before signing up with Writers Work. It is a total scam. They are rated F by BBB. I usually check ahead but I didn't this time. All seemed so legit....it's not. They took more money than I agreed to out of my account. They are impossible to contact. When I click on a link of theirs my Norton 360 tells me it's not a legit site and stop me from moving forward.

No free trial, a promise of better jobs with $99 and for sure an absolute failure to deliver once you finally get to the app. I would say absolutely beware of this scam. It is not worth the investment. Get an Upwork profile or start your own website for the same amount of money.

You can't upload files to your portfolio nor export. I contacted support asking if there was a way to do this and they said "not at the moment"..... I don't understand how they're supposed to be a portfolio site but you can't actually upload/export files. I regret using them. I'll be in the process of copy and pasting my articles (the only way to do it) onto docs to transfer them to my new portfolio site, copyfol.io.

Although they do provide everything they claim to have in some form, there are not any jobs for beginners. Most of the jobs listed on their job board require at least 3 years of experience or a degree in a field related to writing or copywriting. If you are a beginner I would steer clear, you can find all the information they provide within a few simple searches. In addition to the lack of support for beginners their customer service representatives are unresponsive and or very short and unhelpful. I would not recommend this program, seems you can get further on your own without the hefty fees. I am currently waiting for a refund from the 30 day money back guarantee and they are giving me the run around. 100% a scam!!

Immediately, within a few hours, I wrote their customer support to cancel and get a refund. I even wrote that while I could see their value for other writers, it was not a fit for me. My first email of three emails was sent on July 13th. I never heard back and no refund was issued. I will be filing a complaint with the FTC as a result.

This site promises to connect you with the right people looking for writers, but every job listed there is a job on Indeed.
Just go to Indeed, don't waste money on this.

The document software they offer was restrictive and faulty. It would delete random words, mistake words as misspelt and create whitespace when removing unneeded words.

The best thing I can say about the site is they made good on their promise to refund my money.

Spending between $50 - $250 will break the ice on entry level writing careers. After that your responsibility is to buy a website and build your own B2B or B2C brand.
