Nickoles Murray has a great insight, patience and willingness to help. He helped me fix various sites of ours and make them SEO ready.

I decided to move my site from WordPress.com to WP Engine for a number of reasons. The process was very complicated and difficult until I got to Tom S on the support team. He went above and beyond any support agent I've ever worked with - and there have been a lot- including a number at WP Engine. Ai was more helpful than most agents to be honest. Tom agreed to stick with me and see the site transfer through, walk me through steps on my end, was kind and personable. Tom S is not only my website Superhero, but should be training other agents. Thank you Tom S for doing your job so exceptionally well! Please give him a raise!

I am a small business owner trying to do my best to run my business. Today I ran into a catastrophic plugin conflict which I initially thought was caused by the change from Apache to nginx. Tier 1 support (Kimrenz R) helped me work through the issue, escalated the issue to tier 2 at an appropriate time, and when WP Engine ran out of issues to correct on their end helped me through the restore to backup, which ultimately revealed the plugin conflict issue, and solved the problem.
NEVER was Kimrenz R short or unkind with their explanation of what was happening, they checked in during the time WP Engine support was running checks in the background (so I didn't feel like I got hung up on), and they provided understandable explanations when the initial feedback provided was out of my depth.
Nobody is having a good day when their site goes down. But Kimrenz R provided the kind support that will always have me recommending WE Engine as a hosting site. It is what sets you apart from other hosts. So keep up the good work!!!

I submitted multiple valid DMCA takedown notices to WP Engine for clear copyright infringement, and WP Engine has repeatedly failed to act. The infringing content is unlawfully using my registered brand name and brand assets, falsely implying affiliation and discounts related to my business. This is straightforward copyright infringement and misrepresentation.
I provided everything required under §512(c)(3), including identification of the infringing material, proof of ownership, full contact details, and corporate documentation. There is no ambiguity. Other reputable hosting providers act promptly on standard DMCA notices for this exact reason. WP Engine did not.
By continuing to host infringing content after receiving proper notice, WP Engine is exposing itself to loss of DMCA safe-harbour protection and potential contributory liability. Requiring court-issued documents at this stage is not standard practice and reflects either incompetence or deliberate obstruction.
As a hosting provider, WP Engine has a legal obligation to expeditiously remove or disable infringing material. Their failure to do so demonstrates a serious lack of compliance, accountability, and professionalism. They also do not answer the phone.
If you care about IP protection, legal compliance, or timely support, do not trust WP Engine. This experience has been a masterclass in how not to handle abuse and DMCA claims.

There are a number of things that I appreciate about WP Engine, and all of them revolve around the customer support they offer. When I call, I speak with a human very quickly. Not just that, but one who speaks and understands English clearly. When there's a serious issue, I'm not generally in a good mood, but the techs I've spoken with have always been patient, and they listen without interruption as I describe the reason for my call. Finally, they know what they're doing and they do it quickly to resolve the issue without including superfluous nonsense like "thank you for that one" every minute or two.

Didn't have to wait long, and fixed my issue within minutes.

Excellent support from WP Engine. The team acted quickly, took a full backup, identified the plugin conflict causing a critical error, and resolved the issue with minimal disruption. Clear communication throughout and very reassuring during a stressful moment. Really appreciate the professionalism and speed.

So far, so good! Site loads so much faster than when I was with GoDaddy, and doing work on the backend is also blitz schnell. Hosting on WP Engine is a bit more expensive than on other shared hosting platforms, but the speed alone is worth the cost to me. It's like night and day compared to GoDaddy.

Our website had gone down on a Wednesday morning, and I was able to determine that the supporting service had gone down after reviewing the WP Engine dashboard and communicating with the chat bot. We are now pursuing that path to resolve the issue. This help direct the focus where it belongs.

I used WPE during the early days of a startup and it took a load of the work away when it came to worrying about hosting and security. Wasn't the cheapest, but back then when speed was more important they were useful.

WP Engine has been an excellent hosting provider. The platform is stable, reliable, and offers great uptime in a well-designed WordPress environment. What truly sets them apart is their customer support — highly responsive, knowledgeable, and human. When I need help, I can reach a real person, and they consistently follow up when needed. In an industry where quality support can be hard to find, that level of service truly matters. Highly recommended.

I have been a WP Engine customer for several years. Approximately a year ago, I was encouraged to move to a dedicated environment, which was presented as a straightforward migration with meaningful performance improvements. In practice, the experience fell well short of those expectations.
The cost increased to roughly double what I had been paying previously, yet performance remained essentially unchanged. Additionally, the migration process itself was far more complex and disruptive than represented, resulting in significant time and effort on my end.
Prospective customers should also be aware of WP Engine’s automatic annual renewal policy. Renewals occur without any advance confirmation or explicit action at the time of renewal, relying instead on terms linked from their website. Those terms are maintained via a live webpage and may be modified over time, which raises concerns about transparency and informed consent.
In my view, this structure places customers in a difficult position, particularly when managing many sites, where migrating away becomes a substantial undertaking. I will be canceling and moving my sites to another provider as a matter of principle.
There are many strong hosting options available in the market. If WP Engine’s value proposition were stronger, I believe practices such as surprise annual renewals would be unnecessary. For these reasons, I would not recommend WP Engine based on my experience.

I’m updating my previous review because WP Engine have gone above and beyond to resolve my issues.
After some initial frustration regarding plan limits and performance, their support team stepped in and helped to fix the root causes of the performance issues.
It’s rare to see a company take feedback this seriously and work so hard to regain trust. If you’re looking for a host that actually listens and supports their customers, I can confidently recommend WP Engine.

After numerous discussions with them to cancel the service (because of charging discrepancies) - We agreed a cancellation date, they emailed me and confirmed that date 2nd Feb. Having received confirmation that the site would be disconnected on the 2rd Feb WP engine disconnects my whole website and account on 19th January. Two weeks before I am ready to change to the new provider. This has had an enormous financial impact on us. WP engine acknowledge this mistake was theirs, but "everyone's at lunch so they have no one to fix it at the moment" This is typical.
The level of incompetence at WP Engine is beyond belief. - If you have an important website do not put in on the hands of WP engine. they used to be a reliable good company, they are now a complete mess and cannot be relied upon.
Latest update -
WP Engine - has accepted that they switched off my website and disconnected my account by "mistake". Take's them 7 hours to restore (everyone was at lunch). Now the best that they can do if offer me £90 compensation!!!
Thanks to the WPegine support team for the quick response to our account reactivation request!
