Wrong worms. Dropshipping? Stil have not received the mealworms.

In October 2024 I ordered 5L mealworms.
It took some time before the package was shipped and finally it arrived.
I received 5L black soldier fly larvae... How in the world does a worm-producing-company not know what type of worms they send and have. It seemed like dropshipping since they don't even produce black soldier larvae. The website also claimed they don't ship in plastic, but it was a plastic bag (not that I care, just inconsistent)
After some e-mail messages, I could keep the black soldier larvae and they would send me a new package with the mealworms.
Again it took a while before they shipped. Approximately a month later I received 1L (instead of the 5L I ordered) of … Black soldier larvae.
Some mailing back and forth again, they would send me more than 5L of mealworms this time to compensate.
Unfortunately the postal service damaged the package and it was undeliverable; I never received it. (Just before the Christmas holliday).
They promised to send jet another package of mealworms.
I have reminded them at least 3 times until now and have not yet received anything.

Still no 'personal follow-up' e-mail received.
Wish you the best though, hopefully you can fix the problems.

From the wrong initial product, the inconsistency in packaging, to the repeated issues with follow-up shipments – it's a series of mistakes that simply shouldn't happen, especially not all at once. “Gratis verzending” maar "Oeps te weinig postzegels"

Wormm have now refunded the cost of the product and the cost of the unpaid postage.

Ik stel voor dat we het geld van uw bestelling naar u terugstorten, en ik u een tegoedbon geef voor een nieuwe order meelwormen zodra onze webwinkel weer kan leveren, we zijn momenteel hard aan het werk om de 'kinderziektes' uit het bedrijf te werken en hopen u in de toekomst beter tot dienst te kunnen zijn.

Thank you Jozef for your response. When reading the other reviews on This site I did notice that Wormm are very fond of complaining about how their customers choose to complain. How Wormm handle emails, telephone calls, voicemails, social media postings really ought to be transparent to the customer. If you treat all complaints equally regardless of the medium then your service might improve.

You say that you use a “frankeermachine” and this should mean that enough postage is always paid. Very strange and even stranger that a business such as yours does not include an afzender on your packages. If you had included an afzender, PostNL would have been able to send the invoice to you and I would not have had the inconvenience of having to pay your postage for you and trying to reclaim it from you.

You say that you have received a “nota” from PostNL. This begs the question of why you didn’t take any action and furthermore why are you now asking me to forward you an email with a copy of my nota?

Complaint 17 mei 2021:

On 11 april I ordered some live meelwormen (bestelling #2190) at a cost of €8.95 with “Gratis verzending”. There are two parts to my complaint:

1) The meelwormen were of poor quality. A large number had died and the package stank with liquid seeping through the inadequate packaging.

2) A few days later I received an invoice from PostNL demanding payment of €7,68 because the sender had not paid adequate postage and that they were not able to identify the sender from the package.

I have tried many times to contact Wormm by telephone but to no avail. I get the impression that they do not want to hear from me.

I will never use this amateurish company again and caution others against doing so. I would have given zero stars if it were possible.

Klant is inmiddels terugbetaald, en zijn ook de portokosten overgemaakt naar de klant, want deze hadden bij ons geleverd moeten worden.

Wat vervelend dat u ontevreden bent met de (kwaliteit van) meelwormen die zijn geleverd, ook geeft u aan dat de meelwormen gestorven zijn, en wij telefonisch niet/slecht of onbereikbaar zijn. Tot slot heeft u aangegeven dat u portokosten moest betalen aan PostNL.

Ik schrik van uw review, en ben direct gedoken in uw aankoopgegevens.

Hieruit zie ik niet dat u ons heeft gemaild, zoals onze antwoordapparaat op het telefoonnummer al aangeeft zijn we tijdelijk onderbemand en daardoor telefonisch niet bereikbaar, we nemen klacht(en) uitsluitend aan per e-mail. Wellicht heeft u dit niet begrepen, omdat u Engels spreekt, maar van onbereikbaarheid is geen sprake. We reageren altijd binnen vier uur op e-mails, ook in het weekend.

Wel heb ik gezien dat we ook een nota hebben ontvangen van PostNL, dat is vreemd, want wij werken met een frankeermachine en dat zou betekenen dat er altijd voldoende wordt gefrankeerd. Ik wil u daarom vragen om een e-mail te sturen met daarin de nota van PostNL. Ik zal de portokosten voldoen.

Tot slot stel ik voor om uw aankoop te annuleren, en uw geld terug te storten zodat u ergens anders de meelwormen kunt bestellen. Helaas kan ik u geen nieuwe zending sturen, omdat we tijdelijk zijn gestopt met het leveren van wormm'en. Ik hoop dat u dit kunt begrijpen.

Healthy alive Meelwormen

Great, alive and healthy Meelwormen. Just the time of delivery was a bit too long, but I know now that they just startet their Business and that’s often not that easy. Very friendly staff which answers patiently every time back on every email. So I would order again and wish they just best luck for the future!
