Finca Ganadito: Lifelong Lessons in Eco-Tourism and Creating Community Abroad!
I've never experienced a sense of community, especially amongst a group of people I've never previously met, quite like the one Worldpackers has built via their Epic Trips initiative. This Costa Rica experience at Finca Ganadito in Drake Bay is TRULY something I will never personally forget. It was the perfect balance of educational, exhilarating, and just pure FUN!! I learned so much and had SUCH a phenomenal time doing it alongside the beautiful people both attending and hosting this trip. From swimming alongside manta rays, to horseback riding through the jungle, to eating the MOST delicious, homemade vegan food, to visiting a primary jungle just outside the property we were staying at, to starting the mornings off with reenergizing, sunlit yoga sessions, to practicing regenerative farming, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for opening my eyes to what sustainable, eco-tourism actually looks like and the real-life, positive impact these sorts of trips can have!

It's all modern slavery. They did not remove host who took drugs and abused and didn't buy food. Another host , was clear modern slavery and reported as such. I've petitioned parliament

I was just a tourist until World Packers!
World Packers is wonderful and has exceeded all of my expectations. My two volunteer assignments in Guatemala and Ecuador teaching English have been so thoroughly heartwarming that I need tissues when I left. I thought I was a traveler, but until World Packers, I was just a tourist. This has been one of the richest cultural experiences of my life really getting to know people in other countries and forging friendships I hope will last long after I leave. All this, plus I save so much money while I visit interesting places. It is a win/win scenario and very needed in this messy world. I have found new hope for humanity in these experiences. I look forward to using this platform A LOT in my future.

At first I was a little weary when just signing up and paying to volunteer. BUT…… Worldpackers has been nothing but the best. Any questions I have they have answered in a very timely manner. Now I feel Worldpackers has opened up a whole new way to travel!!!! I have emailed them like 5 or 6 times with questions and comments and they have very nice and cordial with their responses!!!! Worldpackers administration is NOT interested in the protection of hosts ! A completely unsatisfactory response from Livia from worldpackers ! We had a shocking experience with 2 groups with theft, destruction of property and abuse directed to my wife ! We are an elderly couple who had hoped for some help with our small cafe and property but were left distressed and shocked by our experience with these terrible foreigners. PLEASE Avoid these types of programs as they have no protection for the hosts! We will be making sure the hospitality industry here in Japan is made aware of the risks involved. We WILL also contact Japan’s government departments such as immigration and Labour Standards Burea, police, etc and make formal complaints and about these programs in Japan. We are fortunate that my wife’s family is well connected to politicians and we will do our best to have them closed down here ! We also have regular media programs such TV and newspapers etc where we will share our experience! Japans new Prime Minister has made it clear that foreigners need to be held accountable for their crimes and actions! We were informed that the perpetrators continue in the program! Shame on the Administration for allowing these people who abuse Japanese kindness to continue their use of the platform!

Extremely disappointed. My host (Oscar in Bucheon) canceled my stay only 5 days before arrival, after I spent 5,000 CAD on flights. Worldpackers support is unresponsive and the insurance process is a mess. Ticket #274761. Do not trust this platform!

I had the best experience of my life thanks to Worldpackers. In the Philippines I worked with the kindest and most genuine people in Legazpi preserving corals and helping marine life. I have never done anything more impactful in my life and I am extremely appreciative towards Worldpackers for that.
