Avoid World of Card Games Like the Plague!

WOCG used to be a wonderful, fun site where people can get together and play a nice assortment of card games with others. However, since Holger Sindback took over, it has deteriorated into a horrible experience. Initially, there used to be a forum where people could provide feedback. He disabled that. The changes that he has put into place have been awful!! Most recently, he has identified players by green checks and red x's. The green checks are "good reputation" and the red X's are "bad reputation". He provides no explanation about these whatsoever.

You would do better to find another game site than spend your time stroking Holger's ego. And also, he charges people to play now...

lately I have been experiencing…

lately I have been experiencing constant freezing of games, out sync messaging or disruption indicating that I am playing at the same time on another game. I have tried clearing cache and different other common fixes. Nothing seems to fix. What should I do or is it your system that needs to update, sman

I’ve played on this sight for almost 15 years and since I’ve restricted the use of cookies have now been banned from playing…. The changes that have been made at the very least are about the new owner being a control freak right down to changing a persons avatar after choosing it ourselves. I haven’t like the sight since the new owner made all the changes so I’m glad to be done with it. I won’t submit to a ‘Dictator/Control Freak.

Played every day until Maria sold site

Played every day until Maria sold the site.
Now it is absolutely dreadful.
Pity is that I cannot find another good card games site.
Many years ago I played on Yahoo cards then Yahoo destroyed their site by monetisation. Yahoo even sold cheating Powerups you could buy so that you always win.

For years it was so good, but now it's awful.

It was so good that I played for years. Then it was sold to someone named Sindbaek and now it's like every other card game on internet browser games. The graphics are very childish, and there's no option to play with a bot that I could see. From being popular with thousands of players for many years, I think the site has lost a lot of players because of the changes. Robert originally created it, and it was a design that could simply not be improved.

This used to be the best kept secret in online card sites, far better than the rest. After it's sale to Holger Sindbaek, it quickly degenerated into something not so great and, with the latest update, downright pathetic.

Not a great experience.

Not a great experience any longer. This site use to be great but after the major update it isn't good any longer. I use to enjoy the old characters they had to pick from for your profile to play with. Now they replaced them with a bunch of bland head only figures. The platform was unique and not it looks like all the other websites that host card games. It's a pity. Overall the new design is a drop in quality and a step in the wrong direction. I fear they are gearing up to make people pay. When this happens I must drop the site and look for another free site again to compete in the card games I love.

The best site for online card-playing

Hearts, Spades, Euchre, Pinochle... and more.

Playing against the computer or against live opponents, in rated or unrated games, registered or as a guest, intelligent game-design and lush graphics come together to provide a card-playing experience unrivaled on today's internet.
