Customer service refuse to disclose where you are entitled to receive medical care.

Having read another person on trust pilot complaining that they won’t cover you unless it’s the er. I called to confirm where I can receive medical care . Weather I have to go to a hospital or weather I can get emergency medical care at a doctors or a medical centre. They refused to answer my question, and kept reading a statement that only included hospital, physio and out patients service. I asked if I am not in range of a hospital can I seek care outside of a hospital and still be covered. They refused to answer, so as I’m not just travelling around cities I won’t be proceeding with cover, when they can’t even tell me where I’m entitled to receive medical care in an emergency. Seems dodgy. I wouldn’t waste my time.

Expats beware!

I had a horrible experience with World Nomads in 2017. I know that it's now 2022, but I want to prevent anyone in a similar situation from being scammed. I am a US citizen and permanent resident in Australia and World Nomads refused to pay for my expenses incurred during a flight cancellation from Dubrovnik to Singapore due to bad weather. World Nomads AU claimed that I should have gotten a World Nomads US policy and World Nomads US claimed that I should have gotten a policy from World Nomads AU since I am a permanent resident. I went in circles, eventually speaking with the World Nomads US VP and they never paid me a penny. If you are an expat abroad STAY AWAY from World Nomads.
