THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR INSURANCE!!

THEY TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOUR INSURANCE!!
I was their permanent patient, but I do not suggest this place after I noticed they take advantage of my insurance and overcharged me!
And I noticed they are doing that with other clients as well, if you read the recent reviews you will notice that!

On 29 Sep 2023 I went for a cleaning and they told me the cleaning package cost $199 as usual. Today 21 Dec, I contacted my insurance and I noticed they charged my insurance company for $513 !!!! When I contacted the dental office to discuss about overcharging they gave me different excuses to explain the overcharge. They told me the price $199 is when I pay from my pocket and if I use insurance it costs more !(why ?!!). The second excuse was, because they took 10 X-ray on that session ( the reason they took 10 X-ray was because the lady who was taking X-ray was not professional and the X-ray results was not clear so DR. Kosha kept asking her to take better X-ray), so not my fault! Also based on the receipt I received today, they charged me for extra service and they charged me for $513 !!
First of all : Even if you want to provide more services to your clients you should let them know in advance and discuss about the extra charges which it never happened during that session and you did not provide me with any information regarding extra charges or services it is not professional or ethical.
Secondly : Today 21 Dec 2023 I called the clinic from 1 pm to 2:30 pm to discuss about this issue, but the reception was putting me on hold or cut the phone as soon as they noticed it is me since I was addressing the issue over my first call and they knew I am looking for a response!
Again this is not Professional and Ethical !
It is just SAD to see this behavior in our community.
*I am not talking about DR. Kosha abilities or Skills, but this is something no one wants to experience regardless of how the dentist is skilled or not. Therefore I cancelled all my future’s appointments with them

My horrible experiences at World Dental Clinic

I want to share my horrible experiences using “World Dental Clinic” (7163 Yonge St. Suite 115 Thornhill, Ontario). Here’s my honest Trustpilot review. World Dental Clinic is, in my opinion, 90% based on marketing hype . . . a somewhat grungy-looking office rented in a very imposing, expensive-looking building (HUGE signs outside “World Dental Clinic”.—just like a cheap Hollywood movie set). Slick website. I was initially enticed by offers from “Sonia” (Office Manager) with “senior/low-income discounts” if I became a patient (age 69, very low income). Those deceptive prices quickly evaporated, and I found myself informed that, let-alone NOT offering lowered price as originally, but rather “sorry--we’re going to increase our prices charged to you so we can pay our rent” (Sonia direct quote). Their original low-income senior cleaning price quote was completely cancelled. To my amazement, I found myself in a literal shouting match (raised voices) with this idiot Sonia . . . as she belittled me (“I don’t care if you were coming to us for $30,000 of treatments, we will STILL raise our prices, doesn’t matter if you like it or not!”). I’ve never felt so insulted or cheated. Another thing you should be warned about “World Dental Clinic”, is they NEVER answer the phone when you call. In the full year I was a patient, I can not recall a SINGLE TIME anybody answered the phone. Rather, 100% of the time I was dumped into a voicemail box to leave a message. Now, here’s to add insult-to-injury, World Dental Clinic NEVER returns voicemail messages in less than 3 days! 50% they do not return VM calls AT al!! And when they do return your call (if you are lucky), you end up speaking with a girl with a heavy Ukrainian (or other country?) heavy accent who obviously did not listen to my voicemail message details at all . . . and you have to repeat your message all over again! So, strike 2 - - - absolutely horrible customer service. But "there’s more” . .. Every time I spoke with Sonia or any other receptionist about the price being charged, I came away feeling dirty – like I was FIGHTING with her as an adversary, or talking with the Mafia or some other loan shark who ONLY wanted to see how much money they could ring out of me. It’s hard to describe the dynamic . . . like it was transparently obvious that “World Dental Clinic” is 100% concerned with extracting as much money as possible from their patients . . . and only gives “lip service” to “your health”. I feel “World Dental Clinic” is just a over-priced scam designed to jack-up prices to screw each customer. Oh yes, they have an answer when you point out this reality . . .”Sorry, we can not change our prices!” That’s total BS. The dental trade in Ontario is given a “schedule of guidelines” for dental prices. No dentist is prohibited from charging less. I’m frankly surprised I feel this intense anger about World Dental Clinic . . . It takes a lot to upset me. I have had plenty of interactions with dentists throughout my life (you can imagine, now I am 69 years old). But NEVER this feeling of being "stepped on" and exploited as from Sonia at Dr. Koosha's office. I wanted to share my disappointment and feeling of outrage, with others considering becoming a patient at this place. I GUARANTEE you will feel ripped-off, exploited, and treated like dirt. There are PLENTY of other dentists in the GTA area who do answer their phones, who do “stick” with pricing promises for low-income patients, and who do not behave like Mafia extortionists with their hands constantly reaching into your wallet. I would not go back to Sonia and Dr. Koosha after all these distressing experiences over the last year, even if they offered to pay me to come in for free dental work! I am that pissed with these insulting, condescending, arrogant, thugs. That's my honest review. That's the way I was treated. Don’t say you weren’t warned. Jim B
