Australia
I paid for 4 boxes to be moved via airfreight from Sydney to South Africa, confirmed via telephone on 25 Nov 2020 that my boxes will be collected on 26 Nov 2020 and that it will take take 5 to 7 days to destination. I proceeded to make this booking online. Boxes was collected as booked on 26 Nov 2020.
No documents with regards to the flight number was received till I asked for it in the following week which was already 4 or 5 days later since pick up Estimated time of arrival was then given as 11 December 2020. I contacted them as this exceeds the 7 days that I was promised. No accountability was taken for it but they blamed it on Covid. This was not communicated to me in advance and contradicted what I was told on the 25th.
I wanted to start tracking my baggage as this can be done as per their website. When I received the waybill this was impossible to do. I contacted the manager again and asked to confirm the number to trace my baggage and was told I will only be able to do so from the 5th of December, this probable means my baggage was not planned to be send till then which exceeds the 7 days. I emailed 7th and was told that I will only be able to track from the 9th Dec and not the 5th anymore. Which indicates to me the manager himself does not know where or when my baggage was scheduled to be shipped.
On the 10th of Dec (14 days since pick) and my baggage is not on route to South Africa yet.
On 11 December I contacted the relevant Airline myself and had them track my baggage, they confirmed that my goods have been offloaded in Addis at that stage and that it has not been manifested on a flight to Johannesburg, indicating that Worldbaggage didn`t arrange for my goods to be moved to Johannesburg yet. The lady encouraged me to call on 12 December 2020 as she explained that the airline have daily flights from Addis to Johannesburg and that I can confirm if arrangements was made to book my baggage on the following flight. I then emailed Worldbaggage to communicate this feedback that I received.
On the 14th of December and I have not received feedback from Worldbaggage since prior week Thursday (3 or 4 days ago). Clearly indicating that they made no attempt to resolve the delay in my booking.
I had to follow up again with Worldbaggage - Sydney on 14 December via email and received a short response it will only leave Addis tomorrow (15 December 2020), hence another 3 - 4 day delay since it arrived in Addis.
The airline feedback received (Daily flights) contradicts the feedback received from Worldbaggage stating there is limited flights available.
Once again I thought it is best to contact the relevant Airline directly on 14 December 2020 and the airline traced my baggage to be on a flight to land in JHB on 14 December the afternoon 13:30. I also received an email when the goods arrived at the warehouse on 14 December 2020 just after 16:00.
Worldbaggage once again didn`t provide me with accurate information and clearly showing that they had no idea where my goods are and when I will receive it.
Goods was received 18 days later since pick up (exceeding the 7 days promised), inaccurate communication was received from Worldbaggage and some days no communication. Bad service can not be blamed on Covid and the Airline Carrier.
I didn't receive the service that I paid for and will definitely report the matter to NSW fair trading as soon as I collect my goods and know the condition thereof.
I will never use or recommend Worldbaggage Sydney (Australia) to other people.

The worst experience I have ever had. They didn’t send my boxes in time. They lost my box from the start in their storage and never found it. They didn’t send me any compensation. they don’t care about customers at all.
Don’t use this company, you would pay your money and never received your money or boxes back.
I didn’t receive any refund:(((

Not the best experience.
They were polite at first, responded quickly to emails etc.
But once things went haywire, no communication at all.
I was shipping my things from Australia to France. I read reviews on trust pilot and decided to go with them.
First thing, the guy arrives in a DTDC truck (DTDC have the WORST reviews - something not mentioned on World Baggage site) to pick up my bags and with massive "fragile" stickers on them, he throws them into the truck like crazy. I'm not joking. He threw them in. He also scratched my neighbours car and drove off. That didn't fill me with confidence.
They re-measured my stuff and sent me a new invoice which was a few hundred dollars more. However I weighed my bags correctly (to my gram - bought the best luggage weight available) and gave the EXACT dimensions, but their site and quotes they supplied me with before I guess was just to get me on board and use their service. Anyways.
So after 2 weeks of arriving in France, I'm still waiting for my luggage. I emailed them, took a few days to reply, he said he'd check up on it. I know luggage can take time, but they have a specific date option, why offer that if you can't guarantee it. Just remove it from your site.
Few days later I again asked, same response. I did my own investigating and found out my stuff had been shipped to the UK and was being held there for import and export taxes. I emailed them right away asking why my stuff was sent to the UK and they said this happens all the time, just that I'd have to pay it. Something they conveniently forgot to mention when I was booking. Especially after numerous emails before I sent them asking about hidden VAX & taxes etc and they assured me I would only pay taxes in France if I needed to (which was totally understandable and expected). It ended up costing me nearly $200 to release my stuff from the UK not to mention it arriving in France which I ended up having to pay as well.
Argh. Not pleasant. After the extra added costs to the quote and taxes (which was their fault as they made the mistake of sending my luggage to another country) it would of been cheaper for me to go with a proper courier service like DHL and had a quicker and more pleasant experience. Funnily enough I did sent my most expensive and fragile gear with DHL a few days after WB picked up my general gear, which arrived 3 days later in France, was cheaper, and everything was in perfect condition.
Took over a month to get my stuff in total from WB.
Anyways, I'm not the one to just sit around and take it, today I filed a complaint with NSW fair trading, and for others who have experienced a similar situation as myself to do the same. Companies need to be held accountable for not telling people the right things in order to get money from them.

I went on Exchange Studies as part of my University degree to the UK and used World Baggage to deliver one of my suitcases to my student accommodation. The transaction as well as the Pick-Up and Drop-Off of the suitcase was exceptional, with my bag arriving in the UK before i did. On return to Australia i used them again but was admitted to Hospital the day that my bag was due to be picked up. They quickly changed the pick-up till the following day and my suitcase once again was delivered undamaged back to Australia. Would HIGHLY recommend the company and will definitely use again into the future.
I was initially a bit hesitant about shipping my boxes from Melbourne to Malta, but after one phone call with World Baggage I was feeling more than confident about it. Both Don and Andrew are incredibly knowledgeable about the shipping processes and put me right at ease. I was actually quite blown away at how well they knew the Maltese system, with it being such a small country.
They were always available to answer my questions and concerns (and there were many) and they gave me plenty of tips to ensure my personal effects were cleared smoothly through customs. Everything just worked our so easily, and my five boxes of personal effects arrived at my door, safe and sound.
I'd definitely recommend World Baggage - aside from their competitive pricing (they offered the best deal I could find), their service is impeccable. Thanks again guys!

Amazing job! Arrived in less than 72 hours as express from Australia to Switzerland, door to door, during Christmas time. Super easy to book with and provides plenty of information about imports to the country you're sending to. Also, offers competitive pricing.

Good all around experience. Not the lowest cost, but they were easy to deal with, on time with both pick up and delivery and made the paperwork side of things easy to deal with.

I decided to book through World Baggage to send 2 bags full of clothes from Australia to Europe. I experienced the worst customer service ever with DHL. I have been asked from World Baggage customer service to attach some very personal documents together with the 2 bags - which apparently have been lost from DHL Australia. I received 3 emails from 3 different Venices DHL staff asking to double check my identity; regardless it was all done after the first one I still was asking the documents were already forwarded. Still my bags are seized and after 2 weeks and $800 I think I will never get my bags at the destination. For 40 kgs full of clothes? This is not worthing at all. World Baggage should work together with a TRUSTWORTHY company for valuables. Very very disappointed.

My bag got shipped ok but they didn't make clear the extra charges that weren't in the online price I paid or the process I would need to organise at collection. I needed another company to clear the bag at customs and got stung for storage fees by the airline who shipped it. None of this made clear by world baggage nor did they provide any help. Ended up costing almost double the online cost which was a lot more than other companies going direct. Big rip off as far as I am concerned. Worldbaggage didn't even respond to my email about the extra costs or provide any help on how to actually collect the bag once it arrived and didn't provide any working tracking or updates on where the bag was leaving me to chase it and work it out for myself.
Thanks for proving me right in your reply which clearly states you sent me that info after I chased you for it and after it was too late to cancel. It was also lacking details on tracking you claim are there and further proves my point about hiding the extra charges as you sent the info 6 days after I had booked and paid for the shipment and the bag had already been collected. You also completely ignored two further email from me asking for clarification on the email from the 23rd and an update on where the bag was, great customer service! You are also in breach of privacy legislation by trying to publish my email address without my approval.
If the extra charges are so clear to everyone prior to booking as you say then my review shouldn't be of concern to you as you won't lose customers if they know the full costs upfront!

Excellent customer service. This team is highly focused on getting a good result for their customers. Nothing seems to be too hard and their hard working team are incredibly focused on getting a good result. I wouldn't trust my excess baggage with anyone else and they are extremely good value for money.
Nothing was too much trouble. Andrew and Don were both very helpful, efficient, polite and provided fantastic customer service. Goods arrived very quickly. Well done World Baggage. Thank you.

Used them to send and send back my baggage. Excellent customer service and the delivery of the times was quicker than expected. Their instructions on labelling were clear and I was able to track where my baggage was during the entire transit. From Europe to Australia in four days!!!
